"It was a Long Night of No Sleep"
The Hotel was pretty decent except for the breakfast. Should have had more options for that. The pipes in the rooms pop when someone above you takes a shower, flushes the toilet, or runs water in the sink. Otherwise it took 3 calls to get the staff to get the room next to us to quiet down since it was going on 1am.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Had answered the locked door in under five minutes at 3:30 am when I checked in.... Had accepted or even acknowledged my silver elite loyalty ... "Smaller then the pictures appear."
The pictures make the room appear bigger but it was smaller then average. The hide a bed had an extreamly thin shredded mattress. And there was a pair of dirty socks, M&Ms and other debris in under the couch when I pulled out the bed. Kinda grossed me out. "What's ip with the curtains?"
A really nice facility. Our only odd gripe is this: Since our room had a window unit the main curtains, when closed, overhang the heat/air unit. When the unit comes on the air blows between the main curtains and the sheers. What you get is a billowing curtain that makes you feel like you just set sail or something, smiling? The louvers on the unit cannot […] be moved to maybe deflect the air downward to maybe keep the 'sails' from billowing. So, a bit annoying as you walk by that side of the room and these curtains are all over you. But, despite that the facility was a good bargain and worth the consideration. "Nice and clean but loud"

I booked through Hotels.com but when I got to the desk they had already given my room away. They told me I would get an executive suite whcih they did but my kids had to sleep on pull out that was filthy to say the least. Nice hotel, located in great location for us. Just north of Toledo proper, many fast food places very close and a Bob Evans, Large Meijer as well. Had 2 rooms - 1 king and 1 with 2 queens. Queen room had microwave and refrigerator. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Very clean. Breakfast (included in price) had scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, make […] your own waffles, breads, bagels, oatmeal, bananas, apples, juices, yogurt, Jimmy Dean egg/bacon/cheese biscuits to heat, egg/sausage/cheese burritos to heat, hard boiled eggs. Stayed here for one night to see an exhibit at the Toledo Art Museum. Location was great for my purposes. Might be noisy when car racing is going on, though. Racetrack is very close. "Hotel Review"
The Fairfield was an acceptable hotel. I stayed in a suite which to me was a little small for the price I paid. The amenities were standard, and the staff very helpful. The location of the hotel wasn't scenic, but it was convenient and easy to find. We ate and had drinks at an Applebee's right down the street (not walking distance, but nearby). We used the pool and hot tub, and they were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was better than average, and the front desk staff was friendly and efficient. There was a lot of conversation and coming and going (door slamming in particular) between the other rooms in our hall (it seemed like there was a large group of people who knew each other). It reminded me of being back in the dorms, especially when the alarm clock next door (in an empty room) started buzzing at midnight. For being in Toledo it is actually a very clean, nice, well-kept hotel. The entire building is kept up nicely, although we did not use many of the facilities such as the pool or lobby internet. The beds were SO comfortable, the best I have ever slept on in a hotel. The one downside is that breakfast, although nice, didn't seem to be kept up. If you […] come down later than the first 30 mins or so, you should expect for them to be out of the hot foods and more palatable snacks. In fact, the only reason I'm giving the staff such a low rating is because we came down a full 15 mins before breakfast ended the first morning and the lady who was in charge was already packing up and actually shooing people away! The only problem was the morning clerk. He was busy away from desk at checkout when he came back he seemed distracted. Took our keys but did notoffer a receipt. The first night of my 2 night stay was short of a nightmare. First my cable kept going out, it was not a windy night so there is no explanation for this. Next I lost my internet connection so many times I decided to take a shower and make and early night of it. Problem being .................. there was no water. I called down to the front desk to see […] if there was a magical way to turn on the shower and the young man told me there was a problem with the hot water boiler. The problem was thought to have been fixed but when the water main was turned on there was a leak. So at that time no water was going to the showers. The water came on shortly after but it was cold. So there I sat no internet, no tv and unable to take a shower. I was extremely disappointed, I felt that a 3 star hotel would have less problems. The beds are way to soft. When you sit on the bed to take your shoes off, you almost fall on the floor. Way to soft. No fridge or microwave in the room. Really miss that luxury.Avis véridique Hotels.com
