Bahama House - Daytona Beach

trés bon accueil, chambre trés propre, breakfeast et cocktail l'aprés midi. petit inconvénient pour la bike week harley un peu loin de main street donc obligation de prendre la voiture.

The outside of the hotel was nice. No issues with parking. The lobby was also nice and clean. The rooms and bedding could use some updating but were a nice size. The pool was a little cold. The beach was not overly busy which was nice. The cookies that they provided were good. The staff was friendly. Love everything about the hotel except that I found someone else's hair on the comforter, yuck. But staff was friendly with a great location. I also got a Tattoo across the street! I plan to come back in the future.

book on line for 2 rooms ocean view , they were side view. not what it looked like at all on the photos online at all. we stayed there last year and had the 7th floor facing the ocean - was much better.

This was the perfect place for my mother and myself for our week in Daytona visiting family. The majority of the quests were either 50+ or families with young children - this made the atmosphere perfect, as we did not have to contend with college age party goers - who tend to be very loud.The cleanliness, amenities, location and friendliness/helpfullness […] of staff was excellent. is a very nice hotel, rooms are clean. Near by is a grossery store. It is too far from main attractions and cars on the beach are a little bit annoying.

We are professionals who travel significantly. Usually staying at all inclusive high end locations when on personal travel and high end business hotels otherwise. Was concerned when we booked our stay as things sounded too good for the price offered. We must say it was all good. Don't expect much for breakfast but pool and access to beach were terrific. […] Not much within walking distance but that's what you have a car for. Parking was no additional charge. Beds were stiff, possibly time to upgrade those but there was also some evidence the hotel was refreshing some of the rooms including new AC units. This is a great location right on the beach. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The guests seemed to all be long-term or regulars so the camaraderie was great to see. I brought my daughter there for her birthday and had seen review where someone else had done the same and enjoyed it. I highly recommend Daytona Parasailing and low-rider bicycle […] rentals on the beach. The beach is less crowded at this end yet convenient to everything. They provide a kitchenette but don't expect the dishes to get washed. We also had a "chemical" smell in our room every time the a/c was on so that was why the overall rating dropped to a 4. We stayed here for 4 night and I must say I was pleased. The room was a very nice size and we had oceanview not ocean front and we had an amazing view. I was impressed. The breakfast was decent. The elevators ran a little slow but not terrible. The pool was nice they even had what I'm guessing is a chair for disabled people to go into the pool. The […] entrance to the ocean was great. I think the biggest drawback was the location. They are down farther from the boardwalk. which seems kind of like the hub of the city. You couldn't just walk to a restaurant, we tried and gave up. The hotel is ideally situated right on Daytona Beach. We were upgraded from a double Queen bed room to a King bed room on the corner of the hotel, but still overlooking the beach and ocean. The room was extremely large with a private balcony, the room was well fitted out with most conveniences including a fridge/freezer, electric cooking rings and microwave. […] The bathroom had a shower and jacuzzi bath. The hotel had a large underground car park with lift to all floors, the pool was very clean with a hot tub and a good number of sun beds, towels provided. A few steps took you onto the beach. The continental style breakfast was very good with plentiful supplies of cereal, fruit, drinks and cakes. The only thing the hotel lacked was any kind of bar facility, though the hotel did offer a happy hour from 5.30pm - 6.30pm, which we did not sample - too busy elsewhere. When I requested the room, I requested Beachside. I was unaware that there was a difference in beachside and oceanside. I was informed that I did not reserve oceanside. Your Hotel.com adds could be more specific, so that customers do not get upset as my husband did.

Great little hotel. Super friendly staff. Nice rooms. Older hotel but it has been maintained very well. Right on the beach. We will return.

Went in the off season, very quite, right on the beach close to everything. No bar but they do a free happy hour, yup free basic drinks. I will be staying there again. Definitely an older place but its clean pool is great, hot tub is clean great service too

The hotel room was smelly and continued to be so no matter ho often we aired it out. There was rust on the refrigerator and corrosion all over the exterior door that led to the balcony including the handle and lock. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows too flat. The blanket actually had a rubbery feel to it. The carpet looked like it has […] not been cleaned in ages. The kitchen is basically the entrance hallway so it is not convenient. It included very basic utensils and plates. The bathroom was decent and fairly clean which was probably the only positive aspect of this hotel. The breakfast is a collection of stale muffins, bagels, and the likes so it is nothing special. The breakfast area is very small and has coffee tables and chairs rather than dining tables. We asked for a couple of extra blankets and it took over an hour for us to get them (at about 7 PM) and the person that brought them banged on the door loud enough to scare the whole floor and was rude to say the least. The hotel was not located near any attractions and anything you need would require a drive unless you want a tattoo or adult novelties which are right across the street. Certainly not a family location. The parking garage was adequate but very tight and difficult to drive through. However, it was well lit and felt safe. I would most certainly not stay there again nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite

This is a very nice property. Very Clean and open. Slightly dated as far as carpeting but not old or dirty. On the beach and it has a Bahamas feel to the property. I will return.

Friendly, family oriented, we enjoyed the piano and happy hour and the resulting chance to socialize. We enjoyed the well heated pool and spa which was good even on cooler days. Very convenient, free parking.

I booked Bahama House for last minute business trip but wanted some ocean time and this fit the bill. The view of the beach from the balcony was great. An older place but very clean hotel . Excellent place to stay in Daytona Beach, Florida. Quality staff that cares. Highly recommend. We will be looking next year to stay even longer.

My family and I stayed in Bahama House for two nights and the moment we entered our room is smelled like urine so bad we had to change rooms. Then after we were in the second room our door handle broke. We decided to surprise our kids and take them to Disney World and leave that night around 7:30 P.M., after we had paid in full, and we did ask as a […] courtesy to refund our room at least partially and they refused. There was no apology to follow or even a hint of compassion to be shown and then they said "I hope you enjoyed your stay" and of course our reply was "No" and we would never return there again. Large clean room with angled view of beach and balcony. Spacious efficiency. Friendly, efficient staff. Complementary beverage in lounge each evening. Mature clientele. Nice pool and hot tub. On a quieter part of the beach. Recommended.

We were very pleased with our accomodations during our vacation. We were in a King room, the bed was comfortable, the room was very large. The hotel was very clean, excellent amenities - free continental breakfast, easy access to pool & beach. Our favorite part was our housekeeper Mary. She is one of the biggest assets to the hotel in our opinion. We'd […] pass her in the hall or in the elevator and she always asked how we were and if there was anything she could do for us. She deserves a commendation for top notch service and professionalism. I could only find one complaint and if you're not planning on cooking in your room, I guess it's not a complaint :) . The room has a small kitchen with a two burner cooktop, a full size refrigerator and a microwave. We only had one medium sized fry pan and one glass sauce pan. It made cooking some meals such as pasta w/ sauce difficult. We had our kids over one night and my daughter had to bring me some cooking implements so I could make dinner for all of us. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long birthday weekend and had a great time despite Hurricane Irene coming up the coast. The rooms were nice and clean, we had an ocean view on the so. side which looked over a couple of smaller motels & an abandoned resort. The underground parking was great, keeps your car cool. Front desk clerk was very nice on […] ck in. WiFi was very slow, breakfast was crowded but well stocked. If I were staying for a week I would try to find a condo in the area that was a little larger. All in all for the price I got through Hotels.com it was a great place to stay for 3 or 4 days. Tip: Leave all your beach stuff in the car and drive on the beach in front of the hotel its well worth the $5 Entrance to the beach 50 feet from Hotel. :Mikes Galley for breakfast, mile south on right everything homemade. very reasonable :stay away from Ocean Walk and go south to the Ponce Inlet, great old Florida restuarants right on the inlet. :Oyster Pub great char-grilled oysters! We had a wonderful experience. The only thing lacking was the breakfast. Cold cereal,bagels,pastries,fruit,coffee,and oj.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. Appears to be family own and operated.

We stayed 4 nights, the maid wanted her tip the 1st night there, said she needed pain meds????? Had to go & get towels the next 2 days since room service never came. There was mold in the shower. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. Hotel staff was scarce and when we checked out no one even bothered to ask how our stay was. (Hmmm, I guess […] they already knew the answer). Maid service was horrible - if it wasn't in the garbage can she didn't pick it up. Never left refills for the coffee maker. Left all of our empty cans for us to enjoy every day through our stay. Beds were very uncomfortable, pillows had no fluff, blankets were paper thin. Need ice, have a nice trip all the way down to the front desk. No ice machines!! Hallway […] on 8th floor reeks like BO or stinky feet (take your pick). Great location, that is if you are into tatoos or adult emporiums. Pool is very small, and enjoy your walk though the weeds with the ginormous grasshoppesr to the beach. They must not own a weed wacker. Most credit should go to the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was clean, the pool was nice and we liked the free breakfast and loved the happy hour with free drinks.Only downside would be the giant grasshoppers eating the vegetation around the hotel and they terrify my wife, but that's not the hotel's fault.
