Nicely furnished and clean. Easy access to freeway. Proximity to nice restaurants.

Hidden cost of overnight parking was not found out until check in,after we prepaid. The hallways defiantly need insulation on the floors so the"ladies of the night"don't wake everyone up strutting up and down the hallways between trix all night. When I request a late afternoon check out,after 4 pm,before I paid,I really don't appreciate being called […] at 11:30,and being told I missed my checkout,then explaining to the front desk that I requested the late afternoon check out,only to be disturbed once again by the hotel manager 10 minutes later,informing me that if I'm not out in by 12:00 that I will be charged another day.The room was very nice,the mattress was very noisy when you moved,but overall not a terrible experience. The bed was the hardest bed I ever had in my life. I did not sleep at all. The 2 TV's were at least 20 years old and the sound didn't work well. Thec rest of the suite was fantastic.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The room has a great appeal to it. It was like an apartment. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. I have already recommened it to other people.

Wow. This place is Italian style at its best. Love the contemporary Italian White on White on White with a touch of stainless steel. Overlooking De Pasquale Plaza in Fed Hill. Only 3 floors (no elevator though if you are expecting that) and 14 or 15 units, so service is more personal. GM Bill is superb and accomodating. Reasonably priced drink options […] for room service. Full kitchen available. TVs in every room. Jacuzzi tub. Plenty of hot water with good pressure. Memory foam mattress that was my best night of sleep in a long time. There is no street access to the front door so you have to park and walk or call the concierge for valet. This hotel is truly unique and a perfect fit for the neighborhood and city of Providence. I have stayed at the Westin and the Biltmore and while they are great stays, I could have been in Chicago and not know it. At Dolce Villa I knew I was in Providence...or maybe I was in Italy. This hotel room was really nice and a great price. The room was a large suite with full kitchen, large bathroom with a bathtub complete with jets, sitting area, table and chairs. All decorated in white with silver accents. The only downside was a lack of elevator (that I could find...), but I think there are only 2 or 3 floors so it's not too bad.

There was an Italialian festival going on which no one told us about! The hotel is totally in-accessible from the road you have to walk up a coutyard to get to it and the accomodations were terrible to be blunt!

while this is one of the least expensive hotels in providence, not completely satisfied. It is conveniently located next to some great restaurants and bars. but that is also it's downfall. our room on the end of the 1st floor was right next door to the club smoke, which was loud and rowdy till 1 am. I asked for a room on the second floor, but they said […] they were booked (should have taken down the vacancy then..ehh). the room it was like an apartment, so great if you want to cook and chill in your room. they send a postcard in the mail about how i stayed there, which i would have preferred a more descrete way of advertising my stay. overall, i would book there again but be more specific about where my room is located in the hotel! location, location, location. In the heart of Federal Hill, overlooking Depasquale Square! Clean, only lacking interior pictures, great deal for 1 bedroom with full kitchen.

Thie was our third stay at Dolce Villa and it was awesome, just like the last 2! Convenient, quiet, cozy and all suites (more like apartments!)

The hotel is located in Federal Hill a location full of restaurants and bars. The building is right in front of two restaurants which the hotel offers discounts to the guest. That was a nice option. The room was comfortable, but had a strong chemical smell to it. Strong cleaning chemicals.

This is a cool little hotel located in Providence's Federal Hill italian neighborhood. I liked being in the neighborhood with all of its cafes and bars and restaurants. The hotel was nice enough. It had been freshly painted. The neighborhood is teaming with restaurants and bars. It was noisy until 2:00 am. Great for those wanting to celebrate, not so great for weary travelers.

The courtyard is beautiful and plenty of places to walk to. The people are friendly. The rooms are nice and comortable. My only complaint is in 3E the bed is so noisy, didn't sleep the entire time except moments of exhaustion. There is no VCR in the rooms but it appears as though you can ask for one since they have movies to watch in the "lobby". Full, […] clean kitchens if you need it. This hotel has the worst service ever. It's in a bad location, and the staff was very rude. just to save a few bucks, please stay somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Sparkling, clean, bright, white, airy, roomy, 40 (and I MEAN FORTY!) footsteps from Venda's market. This is an amazing little find in a cute, famous, popular neighborhood in one of America's great, walkable, small cities. Pros: convient to downtown shopping, all the comforts of home, whirlpool tub Cons: No bath robes or DVD player in our room as advertised, our view was of an alley full of garbage bins, thin walls and ceilings, hard water, everything is white which shows off stains and wear, our room had obvious water damage aroung the windows. We paid very little […] for this room so I'm not going to complain too harshly because overall we got a bargain. The neighbors above us made it difficult to sleep from walking (possibly stomping) back and forth until after midnight. This hotel would benefit from carpeting to dull the noise. Also we could here doors slamming loudly from the hallway. I contribute this more to inconsiderate guests than to the faults of the hotel but if their walls weren't so thin it would have made it better. We were told the bath robes that are advertised as being in every room were not available for us because they were still at the cleaners. I find this hard to believe because I'm pretty sure no one had been in that room since before the time change a week before, all the clocks were still wrong. I think they give these lesser quality rooms to guests who find deals like we did. There was also no DVD player in the room as advertised. Not an issue for us but anyone who is interested in that feature should be aware that it isn't available in all roooms. My main reason for choosing this hotel was the jetted tub. I'm a big kid when it comes to bubble baths w and you can get them up over your head in a jetted tub but they have hard water so it didn't work great for bubbles but it worked and was relaxing nontheless. The hotel gives dicount coupons to resturaunts in the area which was great and it's about half a mile from downtown which is great because parking is a big issue. They will park your car overnight for an extra $15 and if you are able it's best to leave it with them and walk to your destination or take the trolley. I wanted a hotel on Federal Hill that had a Jacuzzi tub. Dolce Villa is located in the middle of a plaza, and upon arrival I had to call the hotel to find out where to leave my car. It seems that each of the rooms is configured differently--I had to switch rooms twice and still did not end up with what I wanted: the first room was on the 3rd floor, […] with no elevator, the second had only a shower (no Jacuzzi), and the third had a Jacuzzi tub, but it was so small as to be impractical and unsatisfying (smaller than a regular home bathtub). For several hours in the evening, several men were working outside of my windows, making a lot of loud noice and making me feel quite uncomfortable as a single woman traveling alone. The hotel staff people that I interacted with were quite accommodating in person, but the overall experience was unsatisfying. If I were to try to stay on Federal Hill again and there were no other hotels close to that area, I would ask very specific questions about the qualities I wanted in a room before I stayed there again. Nice hotel. Great service. Also the in room-kitchens in a plus. Only bad points would be the lack of parking.

I loved this place, small hotel with great atmosphere. Very modern suite with kitchen, living room and king bed. Excellent welcome package with significant savings at great area restaurants. Bed coverlet was a little stained and that turned me off a tiny bit, but the sheets and blankets were clean. I would recommend to the manager that they adopt the […] recent trend of placing a flat cover sheet over the top of the bed that's replaced whenever cleaning is done. I loved the fact that they had good coffee in the room with real half and half in the fridge for you. Valet parking was very reasonable - and necessary. First of all, this Hotel has an excellent location. It is right in the heart of Federal Hill, and mere seconds away from some of the best Italian food the City has to offer. Upon check in, the Hotel provided me with coupons for a number of restaurants - these were very helpful! Parking in this area can be a bit stressful. The valet Parking for the […] hotel can be a bit hard to find and is a touch confusing, but once we figured it out, there was no problem. A word of caution though: our cars were not parked in a garage. The valet service was useful if you are unable to find street parking, but worthless otherwise. They simply moved our car to street parking for us once a spotbecame available. The rooms are all white.... Unfortunately, this made it far too easy to spot any dingy/dirty spots on the bedding / ironing board / floors / etc. Were it not for the all-white everthing, it probably would have seemed much more clean. The bed was not comfortable. It is allegedly a memory-foam type of mattress. I have never used one of these before, but this one definitely felt "cheap." The room had a full kitchen (complete with cooking utensils, a stove/oven, a dishwasher, a full-sized fridge, and a microwave). I only made use of the refridgerator, but i expect that during a long stay the kitchen could prove to be quite useful. The appliances all seemed brand new. The Whirlpool tub went un-used during our stay. It was not the type of apparatus that would be appropriate for multiple occupants. It was the size of a standard tub (though perhaps a bit deeper) with whirlpool jets. My biggest problem with the hotel came after i left. I discovered that they had charged my credit card for the room EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID ON HOTELS.COM!!! As soon as i figured this out, i called the hotel (on a saturday) to get it straightened out. I was informed that the manager would not be in until Monday, and that i would have to wait until then. IT was a very nice place. I didn't use all the amenities but might in the future. The atmosphere was great like a "little Italy" The surrounding neighborhoods aren't that great and the parking is an issue because you have to find a spot on the street and then let them valet your car to the lot for an extra fee. But overall a very nice place./

Exactly what was expected. The hotel right in the middle of the old city, great location. The room was pretty clean, all and all. The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable, but for the price nothing to complain about. I went to this hotel because it was the night was not to expensive and i needed to be there for my daughters college orientations so i was there for two nights and it was excellent.

I certainly can't complain about the rate I paid for the room, but I'm shocked it is rated 3.5 stars. I've stayed at several other 3 star hotels in the area and found them to be far more clean, comfortable, and quality feeling. It's a spacious room with nice appliances (had no need for them though) but the bed and pillows were cheap and lacking comfort […] and the shower was really poor. The place was simply marvelous. I got it at an excellent price and was amazed at the convenience of the room! It was simply an apartment style room with dining area, kitchen, bathroom, 2 closets and a bedroom. It was very spacious and always very very clean. The only downside was no elevator. The staff are only too eager to help with your luggage up […] the staircase though. It is conveniently located next to 2 restaurants which you get discount cards for (one with excellent pasta!) and opposite a cozy cafe with delicious crepes. All in all an excellent stay! The hotel was very clean and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It was a little difficult to find because it's not on the main road, it's located IN a plaza and therefor has no parking. In all honesty this was a boutique hotel in a trendy area, so if you are looking for mainstream this isn't it. However, the staff was great, the rooms were spacious and I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that has a full fridge, stove etc, so had I stayed longer that would have been a good perk. Dining is plentiful right outside the hotel with several great […] restaurants right in the small square the hotel sits on. The bad news: I look for two things when I stay at a hotel. Good shower pressure and a comfortable bed. I was dissapointed since neither were satisfactory. Overall: Great value, good appointments and a change from the ordinary, but only so-so for comfort. Delightful change from the usual chains in Providence's best known restaurant neighborhood.

My husband and I recently stayed the night at Dolce Villa in Providence. We were so happy with the location -on a fun Italian square and off Federal Hill-both with restaurants, bakeries, stores and delis.Once we parked our car, we didn't need to drive again until we left. Great location, in the Italian section of the city. Suites are small, but very efficient. Quality of linens/towels was not great, but they were fine for our short stay. Staff was friendly/helpful. They even provide coupons for dining at the restaurants they are connected wtih.
