Très bel hôtel, chambre très correcte mais dans nouvelle annexe moins glamour. Piscine et centre de fitness ouverts à tous, mais les mineurs (16 ans) doivent être accompagnés des parents. Personnels de réception extrêmement efficaces, certains parlent français. Quartier très sympathique, bien situé.

Un hôtel dans lequel j'ai dû faire une escale d'une nuit. Je n'ai pas pu profiter pleinement des activités proposées par l'hôtel par manque de temps. Ne comprenant pas l'anglais oral parfaitement, j'ai eu beaucoup de difficultés à comprendre par téléphone le lieu du rendez-vous de la navette de l'hôtel à l'aéroport (emplacement 26-H devant l'aéroport). Le lendemain à l'hôtel, devant partir pour l'aéroport avant 6h (heure à partir de laquelle le petit déjeuner est servi dans l'hôtel) du matin, je n'ai pas pu bénéficier du petit déjeuner (compris dans le prix de la chambre) car ils ne le donnent pas à emporter. A part ça, la chambre de l'hôtel est propre, très belle et confortable, et les horaires des navettes pour l'aéroport de l'hôtel (gratuites) sont très larges : de 4h30 du matin à minuit. Etrangement, on peut réserver pour 4 personnes une chambre qui n'a juste qu'un seul lit double.

L'hôtel se situe dans un quartier très calme, à proximité relative (compter entre 10 et 20 min de marche) de tout : restaurants, monuments, commerces. L' hôtel propose un système de gardiennage de voiture. Prévenir 20 min à l avance minimum pour retirer sa voiture. Les chambres sont propres, toutes non fumeurs. Le petit dejeuner est d anthologie!!! À proximité pour les enfants : la caserne des pompiers : les rire pan se prêtent volontiers à une visite improvisée, tentez votre chance.

Pour tous ceux qui sont habitués aux standards Westin, cet hôtel sera un véritable choc! Le room service des Westin est standardisé pour offrir un service 24/24. Cet hôtel a changé le standard pour déterminer des heures de disponibilité particulières, ainsi le menu tardif qui va généralement de 23h à 6h du matin a été ramen à 1 heure, de 23h à minuit. […] Pratique quand votre avion a atterri à 23 heures... Nous avons demandé un enlèvement de linge pour le pressing, et malgré leur confirmation, il n'est jamais venu. Nous avons demandé un réfrigérateur d'appoint. il nous a été confirmé, mails lui non plus n'est jamais venu. La brochure standard Westin (qui se trouve dans la chambre bien entendu) annonce comme d'habitude un mini bar dans les chambres. Il est bien là, mais totalement vide selon les volontés de l'hôtel...(?) Enfin le voiturier est obligatoire, à un tarif ridiculement élevé qui vient s'ajouter au tarif de la chambre, lui-même déjà conséquent. Le tout est totalement prohibitif pour des standards non appliqués et un service général digne d'un Motel 6. Lisez la suite
"previous stay, close to old town"
again, it was wonderful, a super hotel, close to the metro and old town, best of all, across the street from my son and daughter-in-law's apartment. staff was very helpful and courteous; the hotel itself had a very up-beat atmosphere. rooms were clean ... no complaints, jusst kudos!
This is a clean and very attractive hotel right in the heart of a truly beautiful historic neighborhood.

"Convenient"
A wonderful hotel with the only caveat being that it is in an office-heavy part of town and thus is deserted on weekends. Not a big deal unless you want to walk around Old Town. Two minor complaints—the $15/day internet service is only good on one device, so a laptop and 2 iPads add about 30 - 40% to the bill. The staff was outstanding, so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. The pool is small, but heated, and great for the kids. It's about a five to ten minute walk to the metro, but the hotel offers a shuttle. The area has a few coffee and sandwich shops, and there are a lot of great restaurants in nearby Old Town. "the westin alexandria is near the gadsby tavern"
the gadsby tavern was a wonderful historic restaurant in downtown alexandria that george washington ate at, as well as four other presidents. the food was delicious. the atmosphere was fun. also note it is very pricey. our meal for four was $180.00 the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. the shuttle bus drivers were wonderful.

Very well-located hotel, with friendly and attentive staff and great amenities (especially for business travel, though it is good for families, too). Convenient to the DC metro system but also close to restaurants and great activities in Old Town Alexandria. We will stay there again!

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and everytime the stay is fantastic. It is simply top notch, from the rooms to the service. Close to the Metro and Old Towne, which is phenomenal. The AMC theatre around the corner is great...I wish we had a movie theatre that cool in our town! You are nuts if you don't stay here.

"Westin Alexandria - a nice alternative"
Stayed there during Easter weekend 2012. Found the hotel to be of a higher quality than the ones on the north side of Alexandria. Maybe the fact that it is a newer hotel has something to do with it. Staff was attentive, room wase clean and quiet, and bathroom had high quality tile work with no sign of mold or mildew. Restaurant for breakfast was overpriced […] -- the small food market across the street has a few sit-down tables and a grill with basically the same food at half price. this hotel was by far the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in and i was very amazed by the price that i paid for it. The valet service was great and the restaurant and bar that was in the hotel was very good also. I would for sure stay at the westin again
"Perfect location for a family seeing D.C"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin in Alexandria while our family visited D.C. I loved the area which was low key, idyllic, and clean. There were many restaurants and walking around as a family felt safe and relaxing as compared to the frenetic, busy pace in D.C. The metro was nearby and we used it to get to and from the hotel to the sites. […] When we return we'll check to see the Westin in Alexandria is an option for us again. "Westin Alexandria, VA - loved the shuttle service!"
Our family of 4 spent 3 great days at this hotel and lovely city. The hotel frankly caters more to the business set, but we had a blast. It is a good walk to the Kings Metro stop, but the hotel shuttle service is outstanding.
"Very comfortable, business-like atmosphere"
This is just off the tourist stretch, but very convenient for the District Court (right out front) or the Patent and Trademark Office. Rooms were comfy and even on the 6th floor we were treated to the aroma of fresh brewed coffee from the Starbucks directly below our room.

Needed to get away for a weekend of relaxation and was not disappointed. The staff was very professional and friendly. The amenities were great and the location allowed for walking distance to the movies and shops. Only downside is you have to use valet parking (which is kind of pricey) and I think they allow dogs (as I heard barking at night while […] I was trying to sleep and saw 2 dogs in the lobby, love dogs, but love sleep more). The hotel was beautiful, however the lobby didn't have that warm and inviting feeling. The staff was always most helpful. Our beds were made each morning and the bathroom was cleaned, however it could have been swept. When we arrived, I noticed there was debris on either side of the night stand on the floor (dust, etc.). The pool was delightful and […] the young lady from Brazil that was lifeguarding was just as delightful. I didn't like the fact that we could not get Wi Fi without paying too much. I needed to be in Alexandria for a night recently. I found a good deal on the Westin on Hotels.com. The service was first class, the room was very nice. They have extras like the bathrobe on the back of the bathroom door, bottled water in the room, Starbucks for the in room coffee maker. My only complaint was the lack of free wifi. The bed in this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was contemporary and clean, and the living space in the room was well apportioned. It could be due to the DC area location, but one negative of this stay was the daily rate of $24 I paid for valet parking (no other option). The service was good, but tipping and paying that price became a bit […] expensive. In addition, my daughter ordered a club sandwich and a glass of water, and the bill was more than $25! "TV WONT WORK WITH YOUR OWN DEVICES"
The overall quality of the hotel was more than I expected with one exception, the TV in the room was locked out with a special hotel service. the hotel had a pass-through box but it did not function properly with my PlayStation 3. I called the front desk informed them of the issue and they quickly sent a technician. The technician told me that I needed […] to get RCA cables for my PlayStation. Needless to say this did not remedy the issue. In the future I will probably avoid Westin hotels in favor of other establishments that provide TVs without this annoying lockout technology. Overall this is a typical Westin, comfortable beds, clean rooms. My only complaint is the thin walls. I heard the man in the next room cough all night then make phone calls all morning, crystal clear sound. If possible, request a room not next to another guest.

A heavenly retreat! Staff was wonderful! I have already recommended this hotel to friends & co-workers. If you turn down room service you can get 500 points on you spy rewards card. Hotel is much closer to Eisenhower metro than King St Metro. Walking distance from AMC Hoffman, Ruby Tuesday's, Ted Montana Grill (excellent food), San Antonio Grill, […] and Coldstone (awesome ice cream). Lisez la suite

"Strange experience"
For the low price, this hotel was great. However, there were a few very strange situations that made me question the hotel's 4 star rating. The front desk was understaffed the entire weekend we stayed there. The concierge, John, was more than helpful, but we had to stand in line at least 10 minutes each time we needed his assistance (sometimes check-in […] lines were 7 guests long). There was an obvious language barrier between English-speaking customers and the valets, and the shuttle driver tried talking us out of going to the restaurant we had reservations at because it was "too far" (12 minutes from the hotel and about 3 minutes further than King Street)! Also, I'd recommend requesting a non-adjoining room. We moved rooms after hearing every word our neighbors had to say through the door (which was, of course, closed) on our first night.
