California Inn - Barstow

De très bonnes prestations pour cet hôtel. Nous nous sommes arrêtés sur la route vers Las Vegas et nous avons bien apprécié cette halte. Le petit déjeuner est de bonne qualité. Pas mal de resto aux alentours. Aucun reproche!

Ne vous fiez pas à la photo de l'hôtel sur le site car le motel est beaucoup mieux. En effet ce motel possède un jardin avec piscine et table . Hotel très intéressant rapport qualité prix,en plein désert avec une piscine.Petit dej copieux.Hotel très proche de l'outlet ... à ne pas manquer pour faire le plein de vêtements..

My partner and I stayed here en route to Vegas. The location is great as its not far from the freeway. It was quiet, breakfast was ok, WIFI was good. I dont have any negative comments so given the price it was a good deal for a one night stop over.

I have been working in Barstow and staying at other motels/hotels in the area and tried the California Inn. Price is good, room was clean. No fringes, this is a basic room with fair amentities: tv bad picture, shower pressure was terrible. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was always ready at 5am. The property was clean and the staff was friendly. Our only complaint is that at night it became obvious that this isn't the greatest neighborhood - there was a lot of police activity in the area.

This is our second stay at the California Inn. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express, but we decided to try something different. They have fridges and microwaves in the room which the Holiday Inn does not have, for half the price. It's nice and quiet and you enter from the inside of the hotel, which I like very much. The Pool was the only nice part. The beds were hard, the towels were small sections of sandpaper. The A/C unit was loud and did not show what temperature it was so it was difficult to adjust. The showerhead did not work and just dripped staight down. There was arguing outside our door at 1:30 AM. They had the nerve to call me the next day and say they […] were charging me for the towels we used at the pool and left in our room. We had to stay here when I was too tired to make it the whole way to Vegas, and the staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable!!! Exactly what we needed for a few hours of shut eye!

This hotel was a nice stopping point on the drive to Las Vegas from San Diego. Great value for the money. The only negatives were a strange noise in the wall (plumbing?) and really awful towels. Otherwise nice and convenient and pretty clean.

We needed a place to stay at reasonable cost that would be convenient to Calico Ghost Town for a two-day event we were participating in. We arrived late at night, but the desk clerk was just as friendly and cheerful as if it was mid-afternoon. She also went out of her way to honor my last-minute request for a ground floor room, as we had a lot of equipment […] we needed to schlep back and forth between the car and the room. The room itself was generic motel style in shades of brown. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. A small fridge & microwave were appreciated. The location was very convenient - clustered by a couple of budget restaurants, both sit-down and drive thru, along with gas stations and convenience store all right by the freeway onramp. Since we were at an event in Calico, this room was strictly for sleeping so I can't comment on other hotel amenities. But for our purposes it was ideal. Lisez la suite

The hotel was advertised - great value for the money. But most importantly, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially helpful as I left my laptop at the hotel. The manager went out of his way to send my laptop to me via FedEx. Thanks very much to the manager, Stephanie, Emily, Renee and the unknown maid.

My family stayed here for 2 nights while enjoying the Mojave Desert. In all, it was a clean comfortable place. We were there in February so did not use the outdoor pool and didn't take advantage of the fitness room. But breakfasts were good and staff were friendly and helpful. Great bed!

I spent just one night here, and it was fine. The room was a little dark, but clean and had a fridge and microwave, which was nice at this price and would've been handy if I'd been there longer The person at the desk when I arrived, fairly late at night, was very pleasant and friendly. Good accommodations for older/ less healthy travelers, too -- bathroom […] light on a sensor, grab bar in the tub, etc. One glitch when I got someone else's wakeup call -- at 5:30 in the morning -- but that was just a little annoyance and not the end of the world. Good place to fall asleep instantly and get out of early. Tired and seedy.

Most importantly this hotel is clean, safe, and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they serve breakfast starting at 5AM... this is a FIRST that I've seen the continental breakfast served this early. A good place

We stayed in this hotel once before and were very pleased with the accomodations. I didn't realize this when I made reservations thru hotels.com, but when we arrived we looked at each other and said we were glad we were there again. This is not a new hotel, but it is well maintained and clean. The woman at the desk was extremely pleasant when we checked […] in, AND she was at the desk in the morning and remembered my name as we checked out. The bed was fabulously comfortable! (I would have taken it home with me if I could!) Our only disappointment was the breakfast. It wasn't too impressive, but IHOP is right next door. Many of the rooms need to be remodeled as this is the third room that I have stayed in and discovered various items that are broken. Overall, the place is still a bargain and the breakfast is better than most hotels that offer a continental breakfast.

there were several small details that could have made this hotel one I would recommend, such as, they only left two tissues in the room's tissue dispenser. The towels were as rough as sand paper. The shower was a trickle, not even a stream. The breakfast was the bare minimum as far as continental offerings go, not enough for all patrons. the room was pretty good-large with comfortable bed, but a little dark. the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. When we booked online the description said full breakfast included but it seemed more like a continental to us. Otherwise a good place for a good price.

Absolutely great customer service. I would definitely recommend this place.

the sign said Delux Breakfast. I would hate to see a non-delux one. cold cereal, toaster items.

Old noisy rooms next to huge Industrial A/C system

My husband and I stayed at this motel for 1 night during our visit to barstow. The room and helpdesk person were nice. Breakfast was good however the breakfast area was little crowded and the breakfast hours are 5AM-9AM only. Also water pressure in shower was low. Apart from that this place is a good value for your money.

I have stayed at several motels in the Barstow area over the past few months, and this is by far the best I have stayed at. I liked it better than the BW which costs 50% more. It seemed safer at this place too.

An enjoyable stay. The California Inn has clean and renovated rooms. Great breakfast and very close to everything. The hosts are very friendly and if I go to Brstow again will stay there

Very nice hard wired cat 6 internet connection. IHOP right next door to hotel was convenient. Clean room. Desk staff, young lady was very courteous and friendly. The downstairs room was nice, as you have access from your parking spot to your room, via the sliding glass doors. Close to Calico Ghost Town.
