Tout simplement Excellent !!!
"Auberge du Vieux-Port Montréal"
Services courtoie et sympatique. Biens situé. Nous avons passé un séjour agréable.
"Nice Place"
Very clean and has a historical feel to the rooms. Right on the water, so make sure you request a nice view.
"Auberge du Vieux Port"
Overall, the stay was excellent; however our first day was horrible. Our room had a toilet which didn't flush, a T.V. with a poor reception, and a telephone with messages going back to January. We never did retrieve a message we werre expecting. On top of that we went through Expedia which promised a room with a kitchen, microwave, D.V.D player, coffee/tea […] maker. We were gravely disappointed. However the staff, esp. Matthew, did an outstanding job of getting another room for us which was lovely! It's too bad that we wasted our first 1 1/2 days putting up with the 1rst room we were given. It kind of put a Bad taste in our mouth. I might mention that the food at hotel restaurant was super excellent. L & R Lisez la suite

"Great hotel"
We had a wonderful stay, the staff and the room were fantastic.
"Nice place"
Seemed like a good spot in the port area/Old Montreal. It was called the most romantic hotel in the area, but I think it felt more modern and less romantic (fairly simple/bare furnishing and you can hear a lot of surrounding noise from within the hotel itself-- hallways, stairs, etc). The staff were very friendly though and the breakfast was pretty […] good. Common areas were very nice. Would stay again. Lisez la suite
Warn welcome from Michael at the front desk. Wonderful dinner recommendations.
"Old Town Montreal Hotel overlooks the river"
Have stayed here twice to welcome the New Year, most reciently for 2012. Very convenient to Jacque Cartier Square and other attractions in the old city. It's also located close to a Metro Station or if you like to walk, only a couple miles from the center of Montreal. Stone walls and high ceilings are the character of the rooms with a modern shower […] in a spacious bathroom. If you really want to get away from the hustle and feel of your standard hotel, yet want knowledgable, gracious staff and a warm, romantic atmosphere, the Auberge du Vieux Port is for you. A small intimate hotel with reasonable facilities. Staff helpful and friendly. Could not cope with the noise from the streets at night and found it difficult to sleep. Windows need to be double glazed and larger curtains to block the street lighting from the room. Noise from nearby pubs lasted until 2am in the morning. We left there feeling absoultely […] wrecked. Management were aware of the issues and obviously a common complaint of guests. Lisez la suite
"Auberge du Vieux-Port, Montreal"
Lovely staff, very helpful and hotel was spotless. Great location to see the old town and downtown a short walk away. Room a little noisey with floating floor boards, you could hear high heels upstairs, showering etc.
"Impressive"
It was a nice stay and the staff were great. The only downside was parking was $25 a night but the location made up for it!

"Auberge du Vieux-Port, exceptional!"
The feel of Old Town Montreal is just what Auberge du Vieux-Port gives. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We do not speak french that well, but that was not a problem at all. The only complaint I had was that I found the coffee at breakfast to be too strong for my taste........that is it. Would definitely […] recommend this hotel. It is within walking distance tomany sites in Old Town Montreal. Lisez la suite
"Great Hotel in Old Port Area"
Great staff and excellent rooms. Our room over looked the back street and it was just fine. Very large and decorated with modern touches. Felt like staying in a designer loft. We were able to see the other rooms and they all have great character and charm. Perfect location!
"Old Montreal - l'Auberge de Vieux-Port"
The hotel was everything we were hoping for. The staff was very polite, extremely attentive and helpful. The location was within walking distance of everything.
"So charming and so much to do outside your door."
We stayed in the "old section" and loved the room. It overlooked the "old montreal" section. Although busy and a little noisy, it didn't bother us.
"Auberge is in the middle of it all!"
Fun place to stay with (real) breakfast included. Upbeat helpful staff who coordinated my exit travel arrangements. Unique! Stayed two nights - worth it.
It was a great experience with a great location in Old town. The only thing missing was an in room guide for the hotel. The staff was most helpful for all our needs from reservations to maps to get out of town.
Too expensive for what it is
"Auberge du Vieux-Port - Montreal"
Magnificent hotel in the BEST part of Montreal. Perfect experience. Friendly staff.
"Montreal"
The Auberge du Vieux Port is an excellent place to stay in old Montreal. You are very close to everything and can appreciate the charm of the area.
"Auberge du Vieux-Port --- recommended!"
This is an excellent hotel, extremely conveniently located for touring the Old Town. The only reason the rating is not a solid 5 out of 5 is that the windows in the room had been sealed for the winter and could not be opened. We would have liked a bit of fresh air, even though the lively street life on the street below would have made it a bit louder […] in our room. But this was a minor point. The bellhop was extremely friendly and provided excellent service, including putting some gasoline in our car for us! Lisez la suite
"Great for a Romantic Staycation"
After 4 years of non-stop parenting we needed a romantic get-away and Auberge du Vieux-Port was just the right mix of elegance, comfort and relaxation to soothe our stresses away. Great location in front of the river and piers, only steps away to great restaurants, cafes and bars, museums, and shopping. Even though we live in Montreal, we can't wait […] to book our next stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port! Lisez la suite
"Great Location & Rooftop"
My wife & I stayed at the Auberge du Vieux-Port, which is located right in the historic disctrict and also accross the street from the port and bike path. Best location in town. Also, the rooftop has one of the best views in the city. This is a quiant, boutique style hotel with a few endearing quirks - like the slow, slow, slow, elevator. Staff was […] very nice and the rooms are cleaned and mopped daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return. Lisez la suite
"almost a class act"
If you drive as we did pls note that your vehicle will be securely parked underground some distance from the hotel. At 10 a.m we asked that our car out front at noon. They were so busy with no back up that we brought our own luggage down on time and waited an hour for the car. Worse we were not allowed to accompany the porter to get the vhicle ourselves […] and were lied to 3x. Yes, yes you are next. Don't drive and you will enjoy all. Dining is not quite as good but acceptable. Lisez la suite
Amazing experience. We thought that we were missing out by not having a river facing room, but facing downtown old montreal was even better! The hotel staff were so helpfulul with everything and reccommended some amazing restaurants for us! It was obvious that they really enjoyed what they were doing. We will stay there again in a heartbeat on our next […] trip to Montreal. Lisez la suite

"Almost a good value...."
Very nice hotel with nicely appointed rooms and lots of character. Roof top terrace is must-see feature and enjoyable. Reserved river view room but system was overbooked and ended up on street side. Friday night stay on street side was very noisy until early morning unfortunately. Just personal preference but beds were way too soft. And interestingly, […] there was a spill on the wood floor that had not been cleaned up by housekeeping. Location is excellent, however, for Old Montreal stay, and it would be well worth it for a little less money..... Lisez la suite

"auberge du Vieux-port Montreal"
fabulous location if you want to walk, shop and eat in the beautiful old montreal--it feels like you're in Europe-located right across from the water-great view of the marina and expo island and science centre. We will definately stay here again.
"Montreal"
Very well satisfied with experience of staff at hotel. Very hospitable. Would stay again
"Great!"
The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The shower has five heads - fantastic and fun to bathe in. Front desk staff very accommodating and really helpful. All staff members were great. One drawback: drinks on the roof were ridiculously expensive and included very little alcohol. Three drinks total (for two of us - not three for each of […] us, but for both of us combined) was over 50$ before the tip! I didn't ask for water or soft drink, but it probably would have been at least 10$. They offer a free drink, but even IT was not worth it. Bad for physically handicapped. Bad for marginally physically handicapped. DON'T go to old Montreal if you have problems with hills or stairs. Overall: a Great Place! I would absolutely go there again!!! Lisez la suite
"The Auberge du Vieux-Port- old Montreal"
The hotel is close to everything in old Montreal. The rooms are very nice, lots of nice features. The restaurant on the main floor, and bar on the roof are reasonably priced, food is excellent and so is the service. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is also very good. The view of the port, and the attached park area make this hotel location […] very relaxing. Our stay was everything as described in the hotel website. Lisez la suite
"Auberge Du Vieux Port - great location"
Great room with original beams and brickwork and view over the port. We were upgraded to room with huge bathroom including spa bath and separate multi-jet shower cubicle. Probably the nicest situation in Montreal for a city break. One of the most comfortable beds ever encountered in a hotel. Full breakfast (in basement breakfast room) offered a good […] choice; but service could be a bit slow as only a single waiter on duty each day when we were there. Restaurant offered good quality and good value meals. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we also ate there the following evening. Staff could not have been more helpful. Lisez la suite
wonderful freindly staff.everything great except for saturday evening noise until 3 a.m. from street cafes.
"Auberge du Vieux-Port - Walk to Everything"
This was our first stay in Old Montreal and probably won't stay in the "City" again. Loved being able to walk to everything - all the trendy and fun restaurants. Concierge staff was great. Entire area welcoming in all ways.
"Excellent Small Hotel in the Old Port of Montreal"
The Auberge du Vieux-Port is a small, well-run hotel smack on the waterfront in Montreal's touristy district. The large rooms had wood floors, king beds with fluffy comforters, a huge bathtub and separate shower and other amenities. The full breakfast was included. The restaurant is also open to the public, and we ate there one night for what turned […] out to be our best meal in Montreal. What really made our stay special was the staff, who were the happiest and friendliest we had encountered anywhere. Great attention to detail. We found the mattress a little too cushy by US standards (more like a European bed) and had some trouble figuring out how to set the temperature control, but otherwise it was the perfect stay. Would go back in a heartbeat. Feel free to drive, as they will valet park your car in a safe spot for the duration. Lisez la suite
"Old Montreal ambiance"
The hotel is a beautiful, 19th century building along the river. The people were so welcoming and the service was friendly and natural. A full breakfast was included, and delicious. The room was beautiful, with wooden beams in the ceiling and a stone wall. The only minor thing was that the bathroom only had a vinyl shower stall, rather than a tub, but […] otherwise, even the bathroom was beautiful. This was the smallest room on the floor, but even so, it was quite spacious. There was even a hair dryer like the one I have, a very nice surprise. It is in the heart of Old Montreal, and even though it snowed, we wandered and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lisez la suite
Loved the room and the very charming hotel. The front desk upgraded my room to a king bed in a deluxe room facing the river, with lovely floor to ceiling windows. It was a perfect couples retreat, with brick walls and wooden beams. It was Monday and the only downside was there bar had no live jazz early in the week.
"Auberge du Vieux-Port"
This was our first stay in Montreal and when we entered the hotel, we were most impressed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we prefer a smaller hotel such as this. We had dinner the first night at the hotel's restaurant - Narcisse. It was actually one of the better meals we had in Montreal and priced at about 1/4 of the tasting meal we […] had at Toque (great by the way, but overpriced). Narcisse is a restaurant I would highly recommend and a great find. The first few days of our stay the city was very, very warm and the room was not as cool as it could have or should have been. We did contact the front desk after the first evening of our 3 evening stay and they indicated they would look into it. The room was cooler the next evening, though still not as comfortable as it should have been. This was due to the outside temperature being cooler and us keeping the southern exposure curtains closed. The problem is the heating and cooling system in general. We were on the fourth floor. While there was an individual thermostat in the room, it could not control the flow of air from the duct in the ceiling. The fan blew at one speed and one low speed only. Consequently, our room never cooled down when we lowered the thermostat. The fourth floor location was beautiful and afforded great views but a room a floor or two below us would have been cooler. Given this, I don't think I could recommend a river view room to anyone staying at the hotel in the summer months, which is a shame as the views were wonderful. We're kind of mixed as to whether we wolud return to the hotel We'd definitely return to Montreal and the Old Towne area where Auberge is located is beautiful. I guess it depends upon the season as to whether we'd stay at the hotel again or if they told us they upgraded their AC system. Lisez la suite
"Great place"
A lovely boutique hotel in Old MOntreal. Walking distance to everything. Way better than the average high rise hotel. Full breakfast included along with WIFI and jacuzzi bath. I would return here for sure.
"Auberge du Vieux-Port - Great Old Montreal Hotel"
Wonderful place to stay in Old Montreal. It is such a charming part of the city. We stayed in a deluxe loft which is actually in a different building than the main hotel (only a block away). Warning if you do stay in a loft or apartment: there is no elevator! The valet/bell hop/concierge will take your suitcases up for you though! That was the only […] "bad" thing which to us wasn't too bad. I would also recommend researching restaurants first. There are some good ones in Old Montreal but it seemed like most of them offered the same cuisine. It is also very close to The Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal which is worth going to see. It is extremely beautiful inside. We were in town for the Canadian Grand Prix so it was pretty busy in around us at night but not too bad. The metro is a great way to travel also and the nearest station is about a five min. walk. We will definitely try and stay here again next year! Lisez la suite
"Auberge du Vieux-Port"
If you're heading to Montreal plan to stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port. You will not be disappointed. The location on Rue De La Commune E is ideal for wandering the old city and waterfront. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was stylish, comfortable and clean. The Hotel has character!
"Auberge du View-Port, Old Port, Montreal"
The Auberge is a beautiful small hotel in the heart of the old port of Montreal on the street closest to the St. Lawrence River. The views are fantastic; both of the river and of the surrounding historic district. The hotel merges the beauty of the very old building with all of the modern comforts that make a hotel stay a real vacation. If it had rained […] non-stop we would have been very happy to stay in and enjoy our beautiful room, the cozy bar, and conversation with the hotel staff. Lisez la suite
"Excellent Location/Handsome Rooms"
The Auberge du Vieux-Port is right on the water, but the back door exits onto Saint Paul St., the busiest street in Old Montreal, so that it was perfect for both sightseeing and eating out. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The room was really lovely;it was very large with handsome stone walls and our room had a view of the happenings […] on Saint Paul St. The bathroom was huge and had a large jetted tub. We definitely recommend the hotel and will stay there when we can return. Lisez la suite
