Idéalement situé au nord d'une des principales artères de la ville, non loin du marché et du quartier chinois. Laverie à côté, c'est commode.

Bel hôtel, bien situé avec tram et bus gratuits vers le centre de la ville en 10 mn. Possibilité de laver son linge et de le sécher. Moderne, propreté des chambres et lieux communs, personnel de la réception compétent et aimable, petits déjeuners continentaux très bons et copieux, rien à redire si ce n'est que la chambre était un peu juste en taille pour les 3 lits une personne. Malgré tout je pourrais y retourner et je le recommande !

L'hôtel est très bien situé à Melbourne, à 5 min à pied de Central Station (gare), le tramway passe juste devant (dont la ligne gratuite). L'aménagement est moderne et l'accueil professionnel. L'appartement studio est vraiment grand avec une partie cuisine et une partie salon dans la pièce principale, la chambre à part avec salle de bain attenante. Cette dernière est immense avec une grande douche (adaptée aux personnes handicapées). L'équipement est très complet avec machine à laver et sèche linge, planche à repasser, cuisine tout équipée (dont micro-onde). Le petit déjeuner est en revanche plutôt décevant : il consiste en un bon pour une boisson et un plat au café attenant à l'hôtel. Le choix de petit déjeuner sucrés y est limité.

Overall service was fantastic. Beautiful 1 bed room apartment with laundry and kitchen facility. Both Room and Living room has got TV. Very near to all amenities. Next to hotel theres a convenient store, which is very convenient if you need to get milk and they also sell liquor. The only sad side about this apartment is that, no wifi in all rooms, you […] need to go to reception counter for Wifi service. Hopefully they could improve that soon. "good value"
I always enjoy staying at Oaks on Lonsdael.. but this time noticed that the walls either need a really good clean or paint, and the lounge suite was also stained and needed a clean. This aside... the room was clean, very comfortable, and the service excellent. I will definately use this hotel again, but hope they put some time into cleaning as mentioned […] above. Lisez la suite

"Fantastic location and great apartment"
I had a 1br apartment on 25th floor - nice and quiet but could hear/see the city from the balcony. Fantastic knowledgeable staff and the quality of the room was above average, and to my surprise included a fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to a bunch of major sights, but also just a couple of steps to the metro train station and the free tourist […] bus. We had a very comfortable stay, apartment was spacious and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we would stay there again when we are in Melbourne.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. It was quite spacious, fairly modern but nothing that flash. We asked for a king size bed but ended up with 2 singles; the join between the 2 beds was annoying. We had a problem with the room key cards not working properly. Always took a few attempts; very annoying! didn't need to use the room key card to use the […] lifts (wasn't working) and the after hour door was kept open for anyone to use as it was out of order too. Our two bedroom apartment was clean, neat and was serviced daily. It was not obvious from any signage where we were to put dirty towels that needed replacing. The airconditioning was only in the family/living area making the bedrooms very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in (even in only 30 degree weather). overall a great place to stay, clean, good service. was not that impressed when the cleaners took away the sachet of laundry powder, reception could sell me another one for $1 - the sort of thing I'd expect from a backpackers not a serviced apartment of this level. "Everything was great but don't get the studio..."
The hotel was great and the staff was very accomodating. In hindsight however I woudl not get the studio but upgrade to the 1 bed apartment. The incremental cost is well worth it for the space and the view.

The only thing we werent happy with was that the parking was $20 a night... its a bit much considering we were staying in the hotel. we traveled from perth to sydney and stopped along the way and this hotel was the only one where we had to pay for parking our car. otherwise- no complaints at all... excellent for city life and sites!

Location good, no pool was a let down, the studio rooms were a let down! However the apartment rooms were awsome. The rooms on the 29 floor were fantastic. Overall very good. Not the hotel to choose if your looking for nice lobby, bar restaurant etc but the room was awsome and location very Central. Staff were great.

comfortable bed, great view, good location, well-equipped kitchenette. Only thing I might suggest would be a sitting arrangement for eating - even just bar stools to eat at counter.
Have stayed at this place a number of times now, its comfy, and staff were efficient. The one bedroom units are spacious and I like the fact you can open the windows and balcony doors and get some fresh Melbourne air. My only issue on this visit was that I accidentally locked my room key in room and could not gain access after a late night out - there […] was no emergency security number to call, so I spent the night walking the streets - a bit of a trap, I'm sure I'm not the first to do it. look fwd to staying here again. "VERY DISAPPOINTED - NOT RECOMMENDED"
We arrived in Melbourne for a business trip after a long flight from the USA only to find the Oaks on Lonsdale not anywhere near the high rating it showed on Hotels.com. Despite the details of the hotel that were described on the web site, the hotel did not have internet, no desk to work from and no lights in the bathroom. The space was very cramped. […] We contacted the front desk and asked for the internet that was detailed on the web site which they brought up a 3 foot internet cable that only gave you the option to stand by the wall to read or send emails. Since this is a business trip and not a vacation, it was very important to be able to work from the hotel, which was impossible. Melbourne is such a beautiful place, however our stay at Oaks on Lonsdale put a huge damper on our business trip. Lisez la suite

It's kind of best off in regard of location. I've had a very large appartment with a nice view, that makes it worthwile a stay. Otherwise, the service is bad, the receptionist wasn't there upon my arrival (I had to call via my home country, no tel provided there. They don't know how to clean. Internet services, which you have to pay for, is absolutely […] "monkey business". After you downloaded 200MB (allthough you've paid for 24 hours), they reduce the speed. Large sized one bedroomed appartment. Well equipped and serviced in very central location. Only problem was non operative washing machine which could not be mended due to change of maintenance contract.

The hotel itself was lovely, great location, pricing etc. We were on a higher level and the wind created quite a loud noise which was a negative, but overall the room was quite nice. Loved the view from the room - city lights at night (high floor). This is the reason why we picked the room, to see the lights from the bedroom - studio room worked well for this. Comfortable bed. Close to a free tourist bus and tram stop, which gives access to the rest of the CBD. Close to explore the east Fitzroy and Lygon St, even on foot. Conveniently close to many of Melbourne's Theatres, and away from the main "nightclub" areas, we found this hotel to be clean, comfortable and spacious (we booked a Studio but were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment). The reception Staff were polite and helpful, and the room service meals were delicious! Against, Check in was complicated and took 30 min due to a problem finding our booking made online. an appology would have been nice. Positives, Very clean and new decor, well positioned in the heart of the city, quiet room (Saturday night). We wern't expecting a balcony with the great view, windows opened and let fresh air in, exceptionally large room […] and we had control of the rooms temperature. The room met most of our basic needs: great location; clean comfortable bed; nice his and hers sinks and large shower in the roomy modern bathroom; clean kitchenette supplied with a great range of kitchenware; regular housekeeping. Only two things I would change. Although the kitchenette was well decked out, there was no place other than the bed to […] sit and eat. At least one chair would have been nice. "Oaks on Lonsdale - very pleasant experience"
3 of us stayed in Apt. 1905, which has 2 br + 2 bath and extensive views to the southeast. The apartments are quite modern and rooms are a good size. Beds were fabulous - firm but soft on top & plenty of pillows. Additional blankets were in the wardrobes. Full-length windows had both voiles and heavy, well-fitting curtains which made the rooms nice […] and dark for sleeping. The kitchen was very well equipped with full stove, dishwasher, microwave and 2-door frig/freezer. There is also a washing machine and trough but I don't know what the drying arrangements would be - perhaps Reception can provide airers on request. The location was very quiet yet it was only a couple of minutes walk to the free City Circle trams. A large Woolworths supermarket is 2 blocks away in a big shopping centre near the corner of Lonsdale and Swanston Streets. There are also a couple of closer small supermarkets and lots of restaurants and theatres nearby. The free tram goes to Docklands (Etihad) Stadium. Our only complaints would be that the TV reception was bad and the newer digital channels aren't available but Reception staff may have been able to tweak the quality of the TV display - we didn't ask. The other thing was that we struck quite cold weather and the bathrooms and bedrooms were very chilly in the morning unless we left the only airconditioner running all night. Heat may also be a problem in summer as the big windows probably face the morning sun. Overall, though, we found it a very comfortable place to stay. Lisez la suite

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The apartment was spotless and spacious. Only thing I would mention is the washer/dryer was a bit of a nightmare to operate, but all good in the end. I've visited Melbourne for the past 10 years and I won't stay anywhere else. Highly recommended.

we could not get into the Windsor one of three nights, so we stayed at the Oaks. We had an excellent stay, and candidly, should have stayed at the Oaks instead of the Windsor. The facility was spacious, well equipped, had a great balcony that overlooked the city. The only hitches were when we asked for extra towels and sugar packs. A very nice hotel, we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, it was large & spacious and very nice. We were at the rear of the building which was very quiet with an outlook towards the MCG. Close to the CBD. We will definitely stay there during future visits to Melbourne.

very good position for football (MCG) and other sporting venues. Short walks to cafes' restaurants etc- generally very clean and comfortable room. Had problem with the TV which management fixed - but had to make 3 requests.

We stayed with my 9 and 5 year old. The 2 bedroom was very spacious. Kitchen and own laundry was great. During the weekdays, many many choices of breakfast cafes opened, convenience store next to hotel (but expensive). On a Sunday morning we walked around the corner for a buffet breakfast at the Rydges. Free city circle tram just up Lonsdale Street […] at Nicholson Street, which was very convenient. Walking distance to Fitzroy Gardens, Chinatown and theatres. Great location for King Tut exhibition. We even walked with the kids from Lygon Street. Prompt, clean service from the staff. We were thoroughly impressed with Oaks on Lonsdale. The room was lovely neat, clean and tidy. Lovely view and the Beds were comfortable. As it was a 2 bed apartment would have been nice to have two sofas's in the lounge as there was plenty of room and we needed a bit more chill out room whilst watching TV. We have stayed at Oaks on Lonsdale twice this year 2011. Love the size of the one bedroom appartment. Close to the CBC, Shops and Resturants. Very clean hotel. Very friendly staff. Very helpful staff. Very quiet at night.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Oaks.The free city tram was only a few short minutes from our beautifully appointed 1 bedroom apartment. Parliament Station (trains) was slightly closer and there was abus-stop out the front! If you are after a park, a theatre (3 closeby) or general sight-seeing, The Oaks is a great location. Panoramic views from our […] private balcony were delicious eye-candy and the bed was comfortable. It was great to have access to a washer/dryer, TV and dishwasher for the times we stayed in, after hours of exploration. it was ion a great location close to all the clubs we were interested in going to! there were no dramas at all with the hotel.
