"Caliente tropic Palm Spring"Evalué par Patrick L de "Rambouillet" le 4 avr. 2012

Tous les hôtels à Desert Hot Springsabsolutely no amenities. cleanliness questionable. beds felt like sleeping on a board. definiktely not on my return list.
"Great for the price"
The staff were friendly. We were surprised there was continental breakfast as opposed to what their website says. The mineral hot tub was worth it. The shower curtain rod kept on falling so we ended up fixing it ourselves coz we don't want to all maintenance while we were in the shower. The place is about 15 mins from the busy city palm Springs but […] we didn't mind the driving. The hotel is walking distance to convenient stores and restaurant, but I don't recommend walking in the streets at night. Overall stay was great and will definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite
The rooms have been remodeled nicely and have a boutique feel to them, the shower is very nicely done. Additionally each room comes with free wi-fi, a refrigerator and microwave, a nice touch. However, the refrigerator made so much noise we had to unplug it and the air conditioning unit was so noisy, we couldn't sleep and had to turn it off in the middle […] of the night. The pool and hot tub were very nice and well-maintained and the landscaping was done nicely. Unfortunately, there seemed to be lack of towles by the pool. We had to bring towles from our room. If the hotel had an external makeover to go with the rooms, it would really bring it up a notch. Dogs are welcome for a small fee which is a plus. Lisez la suite
For the $ it was worth it. My only concern was my room was on the ground floor and only had a key doorknob entry. No deadbolt. I felt a little insecure.

"Would not stay here again"
I was leery to book this hotel after reading mixed reviews, but I figured since the price was right I would try it out. I would definitely not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel. The appearance from the outside is very unattractive. It is an old hotel that has partially been remodeled (like many of the reviews I read mentioned). The lobby […] looks nice and they have ice water on a table in the lobby, which is nice when you arrive. However, the staff at the front desk were SUPER slow. It took over 10 minutes to check in and over 10 minutes to check out. They didn't know how to work their computer systems and kept having trouble with my reservation. They overcharged me and I had to correct them, which took even more time. When we got to our room it looked nice, but the longer we were there, the more things we found that were lacking. First of all, we had a Panasonic TV and and RCA remote??? The remote obviously did not work for our TV. The coffee pot was a 6 cup coffee pot, but they only had single serve coffee packs in the room. The shower curtain in the bathroom was too short for the shower so water got ALL OVER the bathroom floor. There was also not any hot water. It would get warm at best. It wasn't ice cold, but it was not something that was comfortable to stand in. The bathroom towels were VERY scratchy - apparently they have not invested in fabric softener. The hotel website also advertises a restaurant. When I was there the restaurant was closed for remodeling but after the experience we had I doubt it would have been anything spectacular. This hotel is also not close to anything. It is almost 30 minutes from downtown Palm Springs, so don't think you will be close to any nightlife or restaurants. We had to drive into Palm Springs to find anything. The only thing that I liked about the hotel was that the pool and hot tubs were open 24 hours, but the hot tub inside of the gazebo was WAY over chlorinated and gave me a sore throat and headache. I coul Lisez la suite
"Clean and Quiet"
Great deal for the money. Only 15 minutes north of Palm Springs and half the price of comparable rooms in town.
"Very Nice"
We only stayed one night. The room was clean and neat. The coffee and snacks in the morning were unexpected, but filling. We would definitely stay again.

"Nice hotel for a vacation crowd, not for business"
This is a great little hotel if you are on vacation for the desert or passing through for a night. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and well-furnished (except for there was no clock). The pool area was relaxing and the covered mineral pool was a classy touch. If you are staying there for business, I would not recommend the hotel. There is no space […] to set up a laptop or a work center. The nearby restaurant selection leaves a lot to be desired (except for the Thai restaurant a few miles away). I was satisfied for what I paid, but would not stay again while in the area for business. Lisez la suite
We enjoyed our stay well worth the price
This hotel was comfortable, clean, and a wonderful pool and hot tub. I would definitely come back again.

"Quiet Weekend Getaway in Desert Hot Springs"
Pros: Relaxing environment Clean, comfortable design Affordable Free Secured Wi-fi Cons: Limited food options within hotel; fast food options nearby (but not necessarily healthy eating options) No covered parking Limited umbrella/tree shade in the outdoor area Secured Wi-fi was potentially infected at of the time of our visit My husband and I were […] looking for a little R&R after a rough month at work and to spend some QT together. We did not want to travel far nor did we have the funds to go anywhere over-the-top. Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we selected Aqua Soleil to patronize . We checked in late at night, as we had driven straight from work near the heart of Los Angeles. For some reason, we hit every traffic jam along the way every hour. The hotel receptionist on duty was easygoing, courteous, and very helpful. At his suggestion, we borrowed one of the luggage carts to carry our bags in. I've read some of the negative reviews, and to put things in perspective, I'd like to say that my husband and I didn't drive all the way out to Desert Hot Springs to watch television. We actually spent most of our time in the mineral pool and jacuzzis or laying out and curling up with a good book. The price I paid for two nights was fair for the accommodations and available amenities. My husband and I were not looking for “shiny”--if you want “shiny” right now, you would probably steer yourself towards paying a lot more (and frankly too much) for TV-show level design at some big-box brand name chain. The spa menu was simple and in its simplicity was genius. My husband and I opted not to partake of the enticing menu due to lack of funds. All of the hotel staff were professional and courteous, and because of this warm and inviting environment, the other guests (with a few exceptions) exuded the same outgoing friendliness. Relaxation and enjoyment were contagious. The hotel is definitely showing bounds of improvement compared to its earlier reviews and is doing what it can t Lisez la suite
"Convenient Location"
I chose this hotel because of convenience while in the area dealing with family matters. While the outside of the hotel is desperately in need of a make over, the interior has been totally upgraded, including the rooms and pool/spa area...quite chic; and the small restaurant tries hard to please, the food is decent and low priced...unfortunately, they're […] not open two days out of the week, which is inconvenient. The staff is truly nice and very helpful. There were a couple of issues, such as my room not being serviced at all one day...small things like that are irritating and can add up to a bad experience. However...I have to hand it to the staff in that they went out of their way to correct the kinks. Overall, yes, I'd recommend. Lisez la suite
"24 hour pool"
We missed that fine point when we booked. The very loud partiers poolside didn't wind down until 4 am. So, instead of paying for a place to sleep, we paid to listen to party animals go wild all night right outside our door. We will never stay anywhere again where there is a 24 hour pool. It's just rude to the rest of the guests who paid for a bed for […] sleep. That may sound like common sense, but clearly common sense isn't so common. Lisez la suite
"Okay, just okay"
This hotel was really questionable when we pulled in. The sign out front was in disrepair and it the overall feeling of Desert Hot Springs as you drive into it is pretty low. Trailer parks everywhere, no prettiness at all like you would get in Palm Springs. Anywho, I had read the reviews and was willing to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We […] checked in and the manager herself showed us to our room, the boutique twin. (Just a trip with my BFF, not with my husband.) The room was actually very cute and very clean. It looked out over the pool which was lovely. The manager mentioned that the pool was all mineral water and was at 88 degrees. Upon a dip in the pool the next day, we knew for sure that it wasn't 88 degrees, but quite a bit cooler. Still, it was very refreshing. We didn't try the restaurant, but went into Palm Springs for our meals. Overall, our stay was quite comfy and the beds and pillows were cozy. We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room which was convenient. I don't think I would stay here again simply because I would rather be closer to the Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage area, but for the price (especially on a weekend!), you definitely can't beat it. "My favorite place to get away"
Very nice stuff, very affordable prices and the best thing is that you check out at 12 pm, another plus is that the pool and the jakuzi are open 24/7 definitely will go again!!!!
"Ehh...."
Hotel is mid renovation, rooms are nice, exterior is dated. That's fine, I wasn't expecting much. There was a large church group during our visit, this has been a trend for us. This group was pretty good, except for the Ricky Martin they were blasting at 7:30 in the morning. It stopped but the hotel should have never let that happen in the first place. […] There is a sign on your airconditioner telling you not to set it below 70 degrees. It's Palm Desert, I'm paying for a hotel room and 70 degrees is not comfortable for sleeping, sorry. When I checked out I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay, perhaps they didn't want to hear my response. Lisez la suite

Overall our stay was decent. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is nicely done. There are some little details that could use some attention. The refrigerator in our room was missing a leg and it was not level. There was a fixture cover missing from the bathroom. We waited until the last minute to make […] a reservation so we chose the room with two twin beds. Not very comfortable. Lisez la suite
"Aqua Soleil Hotel - the windy hotel"
Hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and what they have done so far is wonderful. Rooms are hip and modern, staff helpful, pool area lovely, however, even though the interior pool area is protected by the physical design of the building (a square around it) it was so ridiculously windy that several days we could not lay by the pool. So before […] you say to yourself "I can handle a little wind", think twice as this was crazy tree shaking and window rattling wind. Apparently this is the norm for this area, so it's not any fault of the hotel at all, just problems with location! Lisez la suite
"Great value near Palm Springs"
We wanted an inexpensive weekend getaway, and chose Aqua Soleil after reading great reviews on tripadvisor. We were a bit nervous, because there were also some negative reviews about the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised -- it's not the Four Seasons, but for the price it was a great value. The rooms have all been recently remodeled and were very […] nice and comfortable. The staff were friendly and responsive for the most part, although we had to repeat our requests a couple of times before they were fulfilled. We had a basic queen room, and althought it was quite enjoyable, I have heard that the spa suites are really the way to go. The jewel of the property is the mineral pool and 2 mineral spas... these were the main reason we picked this property and we were not disappointed. The pool area doesn't cloes, so it was nice not to have to race back to enjoy a soak before 10pm if we had a late dinner. The hotel advertises a spa and onsite fitness facility, but we were informed that they no longer have a gym, and we heard that they no longer have a real spa either -- they just have massage providers on call. This was a mild disappointment, but fortunately we hadn't had our hearts set on using either facility. The location is out of the way, but just a 15 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs. All in all, I would say this is an excellent choice for a nice vacation on a budget. If you're used to four- or five-star hotels or white glove service, don't book here as you will be disappointed; but if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive, quiet and relaxing escape, this is a great value. me and my partner really enjoyed our stay there the staff was really nice and i love the service the room's were beautiful.
"Great Place to Stay!"
We went to Desert Hot Springs, for a Girls get away! The staff was extremely hospitable and the accommodations were beautiful. The outside of the hotel hasn't been remodeled yet but the inside has and is very nice. We stayed in the Spa suite! It is absolutely amazing!
"Lipstick on a Pig"
This is an old Best-Western. The renovations are obviously super-cheap. Our room had a huge chip missing from one of the night stands, and the wall near the door was damaged from where the door hit it. Walls were too thin -- we could hear moaning and the headboard banging from next door. The man sitting with the night desk clerk behind the desk looked […] homeless. He came up to our room because it was dirty (bed unmade and slept in and a half-empty container of caramel popcorn nearby), and the second one had a TV that wouldn't work. He loitered around waiting for a tip. Scary looking guy. When I called on Saturday to say I didn't want maid service, the clerk told me to tell them myself because they would be "banging in my door any minute." I actually had to go out and find the maid with her cart to make sure they didn't come into our room. Lisez la suite

"Aqua Soleil a true oasis in Desert Hot Springs"
We were passing by, on our way to Las Vegas. The hotel was good, clean and comfortable. The heated pool and hot tub were really nice and relaxing. Still, i wouldn't stay around too long. The hotel restaurant happened to be closed and one of our rooms was not ready when we arrived (although it was past 1600 and we had booked well in advance.) But still, […] we had a pleasant, relaxing 1 day stay. Lisez la suite
