The comfort, cleanliness and location of hotel is well. I like to view of sea n pool from my room. But the service for the club was bad and slow. The food is not variety. They should improve on their services in order to attract travellers to make a comeback.

Travelled with my wife, son and parents so we had the opportunity to get 2 adjoining rooms that could open up to each other. Each room was spacious and with the 2 attached and the door opened, it felt like an apartment suite. Very clean, fresh, new and comfortable. I would come back here again if we return to Malacca.

"Fantastic Breakfast but No Hot Water"
Everything about the Holiday Inn, exceeded our expectations until we went to settle in for the night with a nice Hot Shower . . . and we had no Hot water. This unfortunately was verry disappointed for a hotel that was excellent in every other way. The location is definitely within walking distance of Jonker street, however, it's not as convenient as […] you might think, and does require walking under the highway in a dark area so safety is a small concern. The hotel was very near to shopping centres tourist attractions and many delicious local restaurants.The view from our room was fantastic and we could see many of the places we wanted to visit. The swimming pool was a favourite of my wife everday we stayed. All the staff were extremely friendly and had an answer for all of our questions. A very wonderful experience staying at this hotel. We booked a room with Straits View and it really gives a very scenic view of the Straits of Malacca, calm and peaceful, it's just like you are on a cruise! Staffs are exceptionally helpful and friendly, they even go to extra mile to arrange their transport to send us to and pick us up from our diiner […] venue when we are not so sure how to get there. We couldn't have asked for more! Buffett breakfast is great too and child under 12 gets to eat for free. The swimming pool is lovely as it gives one a feeling of swimming at the sea with no borders and we could even see a beautiful sunset right before our eyes. "All you need"
We went there on 5th and returrned on 7th Dec from Singapore. Our 6 yr old son came along. The service staff are hospitable. As for the room's standard, its good. The hotel is in a strategic location to visit the malls are eating out places which are noteworthy. We also hit the Ayer Keroh area to enjoy at the Melaka Wonderland theme park which should […] be around 20 mins from the hotel. The pool was a simple one but served its purpose. "Hotel for the contemporary traveller"
This is the second time I stayed here and generally satisfied. Quality of rooms and service are more or less what you expect from the Holiday Inn brand. Only complaint was that the Jacuzzi in the Men's section of the Spa did not really bubble and the steam room was not hot at all.

Their service was fantastic. The room is nice & clean .I like the room that face the sea is so nice & relax. Not only that the hotel is also near to shopping area & it take about 5km walk to Joker street. It was my second visit to this hotel & for sure I will visit the same hotel again if I will to visit Meals against.

I went for a week-end and found the service terrible. -The check-in went wrong as they gave me a room that was already occupied (I mean, someone was inside!!) so I woke up someone at night trying to open the locked door of the room, which was obviously not available. Then the room I was assigned was ok but carpet was stained, not very clean overall. -The […] prices in the in-room meal service booklet had not been updated, so I got a bill that was 2 times the expected amount! They gave me a 20% off but I think I should have paid the booklet price. And I had to phone room service 2 times before they finally removed my plates and cutlery when I had finished my meal. -The cascade pool is nice but there is a real lack chairs to relax! It was invaded by noisy groups of tourists/families and nobody told them to shut up. -The breakfast is ok. - Overall poor experience for the price paid. Lisez la suite

Still an old favourite, although getting a little jaded, but the carpet relaying should help. Excellent location, with great proximity to the two largest shopping malls in Melaka, and a slightly long walk to the cultural district (but they provide shuttle services!). Service is warm and friendly, and certainly value for money.

Very nice hotel. Room is clean and staff friendly. Downside is crossing a busy road to get to the shopping/tourist places. A pedestrian light crossing or overhead bridge can help improve safety.

I really enjoyed my stay here. One of the nicest hotels in Malaysia. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms and a perfect location. Can't say enough about the quality of my stay. Zero problems and plenty of great service. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, good location for seeing the historic district in Melaka, close to several shopping malls, and overlooks the waters of the Malacca Strait. Overall we were happy of our choice of hotels in Melaka. The Holiday Inn is in a nice place and is a well-placed, affordable modern hotel as opposed to staying in a hostel/guest house or hotel that is […] farther away. Positives: good location, great view, staff was great, hotel was clean, hotel did everything to make our stay nice and pleasant Negatives: could hear some noises from the hall and other rooms, have to cross a busy road to get to the town (but the hotel said they are trying to petition the city for a crosswalk) Overall a great experience with the hotel. "Memorable Stay"
We did not have a good up-front expectation at the Hotel but everything turn out beyond it.. The lobby staff/s were great especially those at the front desk during check-in. In the morning, when we were at the lobby waiting to proceed for our day trip, it was raining and my family's outing seems to be looking at the downside. Never did we expect the […] ground staff there to approach us with umbrellas and guided us where to head for. Simplified maps around the hotel area was even given to us by the front desk people. Thumbs up!!! The only set-back was the main road when crossing over to the opposite shopping center. My family of 4 adults plus 2 kids spent two nights in this modern, and clean-design hotel during Christmas. On arrrival, our request for connecting rooms was promptly met, albeit with an upgrade charge to Club Deluxe rooms -- I was impressed with the staff's obvious effort as the hotel was quite fully booked for the Christmas weekend. Service levels […] everywhere were generally high, and I must particularly mention the friendly and cheerful staff at 'eSsence Kitchen'. Charges are rather inexpensive and at the appropriate level per the available spread and quality of food. However, internet access should be free (for more than 2 hours) considering the rates that are being charged for the club deluxe room. If we were to stay in Malacca again, we will certainly return! A convenient get-away place within 20 mins walking distance to the historical sites and famous Jonker Street though it involves crossing a major road which requires patience and guts. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Like the 2-hr free Wi-Fi offered. Will consider staying again in the future.

Holiday In is a good hotel to stay in for Malacca and it is very convenient if you drive to Malacca. The heritage of Malacca is a good location to walk about. The hotel is safe. However, thee is a disadvantage as it is dangerous to cross the highway to the shopping area.

It's very clean .... & new. Room is big and is very comfortable. Service is excellent here too. Prompt & efficient. And if you drive up here, all the better because I like their open carpark just right outside the lobby. Orderly & evenly spaced out. I will not go to another hotel.
