HoteLumiere Suites and Casino - Saint Louis

Just fine for a bachelorette weekend. Wish the beds would have been comfier. Also had confirmation of two queens and was given a king. We needed the two queens. But they would not accomadate us.

The hotel over all is a good property in a good location but I will not be going back anytime time soon. The front desk clert was as rude as I had ever seen in the hospitality industry. She was completly disrespectful to the man in front of me who was from outside the country but was staying there the entire month!! She was just as unpleasant to myself […] and wife as we were in STL for our anniversary. She had put us on the first floor which was the one thing my reservation strictly requested not to happen and once the check in ordeal was done, we got to our room and the keys didn't work. When I went back to have that corrected she said there was nothing wrong with the keys and sent me back. Needless to say she was wrong and I was throughly upset off by this point. Like I said early this is on of my favorite properties in STL but will not be back as the customer service was completly unaccepible. Lisez la suite

The hotel gave us the wrong kind of room (2-bed, smoking, instead of king bed, nonsmoing), thus not honoring the original reservation. We did not have the time to switch hotels and they did not offer any compensation for our discomfort. Had a very nice time, only drawback was that the valet service took up to 25 minutes to get our car, couldn't find them at times, they very very nice, just maybe overworked. I will stay here again.

Took 18 of my coworkers to SL for a weekend trip. Booked this place based on reviews and was expecting a bit more service and updated environment. First of all, it was Easter weekend one evelvators were down to one. Then when we got into our room, it smelled like smoke....gross. Plastic showers and bring your own tolietries. Very nice place and very friendly staff. Best vallets ever!!! Great beds , very small bathrooms and hard to get to is the only minus! Casino is a blast !!

Perfect in every way for our four night stay. Comfort, convenience, great service. Would definately come back.

Had a very nice stay in St. Louis at the Hotel Lumiere. Staff was very nice and extremely helpful showing me where everything was located. Very close to all downtown attractions. Rooms are very spacious. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was very clean and the hotel was a very nice place to spend a few days with the family. The bathroom was kind of small but overall I was very satisfied with my stay. I will be staying here again in the future.

Given the proximity to the casino and landing, the hotel was quiet and comfortable. The room was overall clean, although a prior guest's half-consumed beverage was in the minibar and the maid service was mediocre. Wifi was slow. Good value.

The hotel is beautiful and very spacious. Rooms are clean and comfortable. However, I do not feel the people at the front desk or casino are customer centric at all. I understand that I was there on a busy weekend and they might have been simply annoyed. However that is no excuse, and with the expensive prices, I should have be catered on. HoteLumiere Suites and Casino on the Mississippi Riverfront and The Landing was great location(good view of the riverfront) and very comfortable. Had a king-size bed and another living room/bar area. Small fridge was full of drinks for purchase only. Could not fit any of my items in the fridge which was a bummer. Attached to the casino... but I am […] not a gambler. I would stay again. At first glance this seems like a 4-stat hotel, but take a closer look and you will see this is not true. Rotting baseboards in more than one place, the showers are cheap plastic and give a little when you stand in them (felt as if I stood in the wrong spot I'd fall through...), tiny restrooms, vagrants begging for money just feet from the door. 3-star […] maybe, but to put this hotel on the level of the Argosy in KC is just not correct. Lastly, I was not informed about the $10 fee per night for overnight parking but was told it was okay to park there (trust me, you won't want to park on the street). Needless to say, I was unpleasantly surprised when I was told to pay for my parking at the end of my stay. Lisez la suite

The hotel looks beautiful from the outside and has a nice lobby and friendly employees. However, the room left a lot to be desired....hardly any outlets, a suite with not enough shampoo, soap, towels, etc., uncomfortable furniture, no map of hotel and/or casino, no information on the several restaurants and shops located within the complex..very frustrating […] and uncomfortable. All that housekeeping did was make our beds and bring towels..the bathroom wasn't clean before or after. Lisez la suite

I stayed at this hotel back in the 90's when it was the Embassy Suites. It doesn't appear that the rooms have been updated since then. The toilet ran all night making it hard to sleep. It is kind of nice being near Laclede's Landing in St. Louis, but the neighborhood is not kid friendly after dark.

The stay was nice, although I should not have used any of the overpriced items in the mini-bar. The king sized bed was very comfortable and soft but the sheet we laid on had cigarette holes in it.

Our stay was very nice. We used Valet to park our car and were told there was a $20.00 Valet fee to park. I was fine with that but in the end, we were never charged! The hotel was really nice with glass elevators and all rooms were suites. The casino was fun the the machines were tight. Overall, I would go back again! Whenever I go to St. Louis I make sure to try and stay at Hotel Lumiere. It has enough room for 4 adults to sleep comfortably and extremely good prices! Great value and 3 beds in every room! Love it here!

Nice place with great rooms/ big space in the rooms.

Had a great stay at the Lumiere. Convenient to my downtown meetings with the added bonus of post work fun. Covered bridge to Casino and restaurant. Amazing Pork sliders at Stadium Bar in casino.

I had a very pleasant stay. My suite was roomy and comfortable. I will stay here again.

This Hotel was wonderful. Mark, front desk person was very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a suite and it was wonderful. Since its close to casinos we had late night restaurants available to us. Parking was free! Loved it we would stay again.

The toilet was broken, and wouldn't flush properly, despite our 2 visits by maintenance that said, "it should work now" after a couple minutes with a plunger. The front desk staff didn't care that the person that was sick and vomiting had to endure this all night. We picked this hotel to splurge a little for a fancier place, and were very disappointed. […] For as much as we paid, next time we'll stay somewhere else and pay a little more if we have to. Very awesome room, great location and great view of the Arch. I had a great stay at Hotel Lumiere, the only thing that was an inconvenience was that there was no microwave in the whole hotel. Other than that, the food, the casino and room was awesome. And ive always wanted to stay here but the rooms were too high for me. I found a great deal, so i had […] to snatch that up. I only stayed one night in this hotel. I think every room is a suite. With a living room and a bed room. My biggest gripe about this hotel is two things. 1) You cannot find a convenient electrical for your life. Most of the plugs are used and in awkward spots if you wish to use a laptop. I had to move my couch forward and unplug a lamp to get my connect. 2) […] No free internet and the cost was not cheap to pay for it. Fortunately had my 3g phone which I could tether to my computer and not have to pay for it, but still. Isn't it rather common these days to give out free internet? The price is cheap, and the quality was good enough. If you don't plan on bringing a laptop or want to use an Iron with ease. Then this hotel will work out great, otherwise.
