Lobby impressionant. Bel établissement sous tous les points. Chambre très agréable. Femme de ménage irréprochable. Très beau jardin. Belle piscine, propre dans l'ensemble. Les restaurants: Le Gourmet n'est pas bon! Mis à part leur soupe de poisson... les cuisiniers devraient prendre quelques cours avec des professionels du métier... L'Italien peut passer. Le […] restaurant principal: la cuisine dominicaine n'ayant rien d'exceptionnel il ne faut pas s'attendre à quelque chose de gastronomique mais buffet varié et bien fourni, il y en a pour tous les gouts (mis à part les desserts: jelly et autres "beurks" en tout genre). Je comprend cependant qu'on puisse s'en lasser. Plage: belle mais l'eau est trouble à cause du fleuve se jetant à proximité. Attention aux sandflies à la tombée du jour. Ces sales bestioles s'en donnent à coeur joie! se couvrir ou utiliser un repulsif à ces heures. Les réceptionnistes sont assez désagréables (mis à part Jhonny, très souriant et très "helpfull" + francophone) Spectacles sympas. Isolé de tout. La Romana a 20 min, Bayahibe à presque 1 heure. On peut visiter las cavas de la meralleva pour 300 pesos dominicain + 5 euros de taxi (grottes à 5 minutes en voiture) On n'y retournera pas, mais pour un séjour de 4 nuits, nous n'avons pas été déçu du tout, nous l'aons au contraire trouvé très agréable! Nous le conseillons c'est sur, mais peut être pas pour une semaine complète. Pour ce qui est des excursions, eviter celles des TO de l'hôtel: bien que + cher "Pro-excursions" nous a tout a fait plu. si tu viens pour la mer ce n'est pas ici,elle existe oui mais jamais bleu,car elle est proche d'une embouchure de rivière parait-il,on peut quand même se baigner ,se bronzer au soleil et à l'ombre des cocotiers sur plus d'1 km de plage bien entretenue . pour le reste ( activité et animation de l’hôtel, piscine,repas matin au soir impeccable!!! personnel […] très cool et respectueux en général j'aime grand bahia principéééééé Lisez la suite

Large suites with easy access to the beach. Very nice beach with palm trees and plenty of loungers for sun seekers. Food was average. Large pool. Resort is captive as the nearest town is appx 20 miles away, but all-inclusive makes it nice.

This is not a swimmable beach. The water is brown and murky. My friend was stung by a jellyfish on the first day. The drinks are terrible. Very low grade. Even the beer tasted watered down.

Our visit at this hotel was not what we had expected. The service was really poor, the food was below average and there were all these small annoying things that was not in place. They did not pick up our laundry, there were no battery in the tv remote control, no answer when calling "guest service, flies all over the food buffets, the reception could […] not answer our questions, the crew was overall not very interested or inspiring, we had to wait for 1 hour for our food in one of the restaurants etc. Also - the water was not very inviting when we were there. The pool area looked nice, and the gardens were well kept, but that is the only positive things we have to say about our stay at Gran Bahia Principe. Lisez la suite

This hotel was very clean, rooms new and clean, maid service was great. The food was mediocre, and the lack of seafood was disappointing, especially at the themed seafood restaurant. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The DR recently received heavy rains and floods and this beach is near a river opening and the beach was completely cloudly and muddy […] and no one swam in the ocean. I would just check ahead on the beach conditions, I think it was very unusual. Otherwise it would have been very pretty. They could put less sugar and more alcohol in their free drinks!! Let me tell you, I went there for my honeymoon, the service was outstanding. I arrived at the hotel with a little stress. I met with the receptionist named Nilma whose customer service skills were 7 out of 10. Then I complained and she improved. I finished my reception process with Junior who was great since the begining, ask for him. The guy goes […] the extra mile to make you fell like a king. Amaury, the bellhop was rushing everything and his quality of service was 8 out of 10. A friend transported my wife and I to the Hotel. The bellhop Amaury mistakenly carried my friend's luggage to my room and then I complained again, the issued was resolved immediately. Ms. Antonia Javier, she is in charge of weddings, if you want to get marry like a king, with 0 stress. Contact her this lady has qualities of an angel from heaven to help you. She goes out on a limb to provide you the greatest satisfaction. Carlos at the buffet, very good service too. If I Keep mentioning names of people who made the difference, this would be too long to read. The food is 10 out of 10. Water sports are fantastic. Kayak are included on the price. In general I highkly recommend this hotel, they address any issues promptly. If there is anything out of place you dial 0 on the phone and the take care of business right away and they also follow up to see if the issue has been resolved. This was the BEST hotel by far I have stayed at in the Dominican Rep. There were 9 of us that went to this Hotel and everyone was HAPPY!! Immaculate!! Friendly staff, great food, pools very clean. Cannot complain about anything. Cant wait to go back,have stayed in mnay other hotels in Laromana, Puerta Plata Juan Dolio and Samana and this is the BEST […] one hands down. I recomend this to any one who wants a 5 star experience in the Dominican Republic. The Beach is beautiful and clean. I loved this place and all that work there are professional and courteous. The staff really makes it an enjoyable experience. Cant wait to go again. See Saolo if you go, he works there and will make you stay alot of fun. Lisez la suite

This was my fourth times in Santo Domingo, in three different hotels; the Bahia Principle was the best of the best. The service was great, oh the pool crystal clear the water was great, I enjoyed my stay and I am planning to go back. The only thing that needs to be taking care of is the beach, too much sea leaves in the water otherwise it is a paradise […] on earth. Lisez la suite

I can't say anything else, really love the instalations, the staff, the service, the food, EVERYTHING... Very special place!!...

The only reason why this Hotel is not a 5 star hotel is because they only include local domestic drinks from beer (which is excellent Presidente beer my favorite), to the rums which are also excellent to the whisky and cordials, and the wine which is a house wine, now dont get me wrong they do have any type of drink available at an extra cost from Chivas […] Regal whisky to others and also you will not find Lobster or Sirloin steak on your menu or at the Buffet, but the food that they serve is excellent and the other reason why is not a 5 star Resort is because there is a problem with the beach water which is most of the time dirty (but they are working on it to fix that problem), but the sand is very clean, the view is great and very relaxing, the pool and the big Jacuzzi is great, after that the rooms are like going to a Ritz Carlton Hotel, the service is excellent, the shows are good and fun, like I said before you will not regret going to this beautiful resort and you should take advantage of it. The hotel was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful, good food, Great building and extremely clean throughout, beautiful gardens, I love it. Openly recommend it to everyone. Hotellet er flott med meget god beliggenhet, selv om det ligger litt avsides til i forhold til Santo Domingo. jeg har vært her to ganger, nå i november 2011 og sommeren 2010, og må si jeg ble som mine gjester som også var med sist gang svært skuffet over kvalitenet på maten som hadde tapt seg betraktlig. Nos encontramos con un excelente hotel, magnífica atención, instalaciones confortables, de calidad, excelente decoración y muy bien cuidadas. La atención de todo el personal es muy esmerada. El ambiente del hotel es muy tranquilo y seguro. No se ven personas extrañas dentro del predio del hotel y la playa. Igualmente hay buena vigilancia. El lugar es […] de gran belleza natural realzada por los magníficos y cuidados jardines. La playa es una bahía preciosa, enmarcada por grandiosas palmeras autóctonas que bordean toda la costa. Es un encanto de playa. El paisaje es precioso. Habría que mejorar la condición del agua en cuanto a su pureza y transparencia para que sea un lugar perfecto. Lisez la suite

I had a nice stay there with great facilities and and staff. Only thing that was anoying was that I called room-service twice and they never came... I really recommend the hotel...
