Construction typique des années 60 - 70 mais qui se modernise petit à petit (les salles de bains viennent d'être rénovées par exemple). Personnel très professionnel et multi-lingue. Emplacement idéal, juste en face de la plage de Lapad, commerces et bars, restaurants à quelques minutes à pied. Arrêt de bus juste devant l'hotel pour la vieille ville notamment. Excellent rapport qualité/prix, surtout pour une ville comme Dubrovnik.

Famille très sympathique et accueillante. Chambre décorée avec goût. Arrêt de bus à 2 minutes à pied pour se rendre à Dubrovnik. Cependant il est très difficile de trouver le logement, aucun panneau n'indique que l'on est à Andrijana apartments. De plus le wifi est payant et l'insonorisation est très faible.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans ce petit immeuble qui compte 6 ou 7 chambres. La chambre était propre et une corbeille de raisin avait été placée dans le frigo à notre attention..le propriétaire est discret .Nous n'avons pas eu une des chambres avec balcon qui surplombe la petite baie...dômmage...La seule vue sur la mer était depuis unes des 2 fenêtres de la cuisine, la chambre par elle même n'en ayant pas. Si vous passez plusieurs nuits , demandez une des chambres avec balcon sur la baie et faite attention que celà figure dans votre réservation.. Un barbecue exterieur et une cuisine d'été semble être mis à disposition sur la terrasse commune.

Hôtel où l'accueil est chaleureux et où on est soucieux de vous aider à organiser votre séjour à Dubrovnik si vous le demander. Il s'agit d'un hôtel impeccable, avec un service de déjeûner-buffet ou à la carte inclus. A noter qu'un déjeûner à la carte est très rare dans les hôtels. Or, ce faisant,, l'hôtel Berkeley offre non seulement un petit-déjeûner […] copieux, mais chaud et bon. Peut-être que cet hôtel est un peu loin de la vieille ville; mais un autobus (la no 8) passe juste en face et le trajet dure environ 5 minutes pour se retrouver dans la vieille ville. Pour ce qui est des fumeurs, l'hôtelier est soucieux des besoins de ces derniers. Il est interdit de fumer dans les chambres. Mais chacune de celles-ci dispose d'un balcon et on autorise les gens qui le désirent à y fumer. C'est un bel exemple qu'on est respectueux pour les besoins de toute la clientèle. Overall, this is a good hotel. We had parking included in our booking (otherwise €5/day) and they have a multi-storey car-park next door. Service was exceptional and the staff really went out of their way to help us. Breakfast was also very good. The room itself was good for a 3* hotel but cleanliness could have been improved slightly in the bathroom. […] The TV was tiny and not many channels. Additionally, the walls are quite thin. The hotel itself is very convenient - frequent buses to the town (buy from the hotel, singles or day tickets) or a 15-20 mins walk. The price was a little steep for this standard of hotel, but Dubrovnik overall is very expensive so reasonable value for the area. I did not try the pool but it seemed fine. I cannot tell you enough how amazing my experience with this hotel was. First, this is a family run hotel and they get to know their customers very well. All of the family members work so hard to make sure everyone staying at the hotel has an enjoyable stay in Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a wonderful city and one of my favorite places ever. Second, the hotel […] offers free breakfast included in the room rate. The breakfast has fresh meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee and eggs made to order. Third, you can charge excursions (trips to the islands, Bosnia, etc.) to your room and the tour company picks you up at the hotel. The staff is more than willing to give you advice on what trips to take and what to bring on the trips. Fourth, the hotel is located right near the port of Dubrovnik. It is an excellent location. To get to the Old Town all you need to do is take a quick bus ride or you could walk. Walking might be too much for some as it is very hot there. You can also have the hotel hire a cab which will arrive quickly and is not too expensive. Fifth, the rooms are perfectly kept, modern and spacious. I had no issues with the maid service and they are extremely efficient. Finally, I wanted to spend time writing this review because of how happy I was that I decided to stay at this hotel. Even though it is not a resort, you really get so many great things for such a great rate. The people who run the hotel are nice and true professionals. I will be back as soon as I can return. "Dubrovnik worth to visit and stay at Hotel Berkely"
When touring Croatia, don't forget to visit the old city of Dubrovink. It's definitely worth the extra kilometers/miles (and maybe more important, the additional hours of travelling, as the highway up to Dubrovnik isn't ready; at least not in 2012/2013)! Our family stayed at an apartment, which was quite spacious, sufficiently equipped and as bonus […] had a large balcony (with a.o. 2 deck chairs) with view over the harbour with its beautiful sunset. Staff at the reception desk as well as breakfast room had a very personal approach and had good suggestions for sightseeing. Talking about breakfast, you can order your choice of eggs freshly baked with two supplements (complementary)! After a day of strolling in warm Dubrovnik, it's good relaxing at the hotel's rooftop pool with its deck chairs. Should you go there by car, a parking garage is available, but hotel isn't very well visible from the road when driving down hill (right hand side). Although maybe not within easy walking distance from the old city (approx. 50 min; up/down hills at 30 C/88 F temperatures...); a bus ride takes you there in less than 10 min! Bus tickets can be bought at the reception desk. For those visiting Dubrovnik by car: save yourselves the trouble of visiting the old town by car and just take the bus! "Good hotel close to the port"
Perfect location if you are travelling to Dubrovnik by ferry as it is just a 10 minute walk uphill from the port. Clean, comfortable and good value compared to Hotels in the old town, which was a short bus/taxi ride away. The taxi fare between four of us was only slightly more than the bus. The restaurant Dubrovka just outside the Pile Gate was excellent […] and walking around the city walls a must, although not in the midday heat. If travelling by the Jadrolinka car ferry, I recommend using the restaurant on board which had white-table cloth service at reasonable prices, had plenty of seating in cool air-conditioning. Hotel was very good for a 3*. Location was at least 25 mins walk to the old town and only a 6-8 min bus ride away costing 12 kuna each way, can be expensive when in a group. Also it is not directly by the harbour but few minutes away so the sea veiw rooms were not as great you would expect. But the cleaniness is excellent and also the double beds are […] very comfortable. However a third bed in a triple room is very small and not so comfortable. Breakfast was good but not enough variety for vegetarians who dont eat eggs, no other hot food other than eggs with mushrooms/tomatoes and toast. Not what I would call a full breakfast as stated on website. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and it was worth booking a cab service to and from the Airport via the hotel. As is the way with booking a hotel somewhere for the first time, we were unsure what we would find despite carefully reading previous guest reviews. We need not have worried. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was spacious, immaculate, comfortable and had all the amenities we could have wished for. The rest of the hotel also […] did not disappoint, including a good breakfast that set us up for the day, but the most outstanding feature of all for us was the friendliness of the staff who really went out of their way to help and advise us about where to visit, when and which buses to catch, good restaurants to eat in etc. The hotel is not in Dubrovnik centre which for us was a bonus but is close enough to access all the sights easily and quickly. Only a short walk down the hill is the beautiful harbour area (where you can hop on a boat to the islands), the bus station, plus restaurants, shops etc. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel - another bonus. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will certainly be returning to beautiful Croatia and the Hotel Berkely which definitely deserves a higher star rating than it currently has.
