The staff was very nice and professional. The breakfast was a hot breakfast off eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries. I was really shocked at how nice the breakfast and hotel was for the price. I will stay here again.

I got the king suite. When I go to hotels I expect it to feel homey. Luckly I was there for only one night. If I would have stayed longer I would feel as if I am in an insane asylum. They need more decor and wallpaint and up to date furniture. Bed was EXTREMLEY comfortable.

This hotel was great. We stayed here to get a less expensive hotel while visiting Galveston. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would definatly stay here again.

This hotel is about 10-15 minutes from Galveston, and it costs much less than a comparable Galveston hotel. It's perfect if you are spending the night before leaving on a cruise, like what we did. The woman at the front desk was rude, the room smelled bad (like mildew), beds uncomfortable, service was horrible (I asked for a couple of extra towels and the lady at the front desk made me go up to my room and bring down two dirty towels), coffee looked like tan water it was so weak. I was not happy with this hotel at all. The clerk - Alex - was very rude and unfriendly. Nothing was working. The detergent machine in the laudry room was out of service and none was available at the front desk. The back door that was right outside our room was not working so we had to go all the way around to the front everytime we needed to go to […] our vehicle. The spa/hot tub was not working. We stayed here to avoid paying higher prices in Galveston. Short commute, worth the savings. Hotel overall felt clean, safe and secure. The room was like new and everything was in good repair. The water is very hard and is a little rough in the shower. The location was only about a 20 minute drive to our fishing peer and we had a great time deep sea fishing on two 12 hour charters to the Gulf of Mexico. Our family went to this hotel to visit Galveston for the weekend. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was nice and it was close to the beach. Definitely would recommend.

The morning hotel staff needs some help in being cheerful and helpful especially considering they have a lot of cruise guests. The breakfast had a lot to be desired also. The hotel itself is clean and everything was in working order. A little off the beaten path. Next time I will probably find a hotel closer to the terminal.

Very clean and comfortable. I stayed here with my fiancé for a weekend at Galveston. It's only a short drive from Galveston and was located in a pretty quiet place. The hotel was very neat and clean. If I had to complain about something, it may have to be the fact that the cable TV was regular quality signal on a flat screen that should probably need […] a 720p signal. Since we didn't really go to watch TV I wouldn't dock any points for that (just an observation.) As a side more, I saved myself a significant amount of money by staying outside of Galveston. Front desk staff was very helpful. We had requested a crib; however, the request was lost in cyberspace. Within ten minutes of us arriving, they had the crib delivered to our room. The room was very clean and big enough for me, my husband, and our two babies. Helped that they had a fridge and microwave for their bottles.

This hotel was the perfect stay for one night. I had a triathlon in the Galveston area and didn't want to pay resort prices. This Comfort Inn was much cheaper and only a 10 minute drive from my race. If you ignore the refineries in the distance, it's in a pretty peaceful spot!

Nice staff at the frontdesk. The only trouble we have had with this hotel was that we could not get any breakfast. We came down at 8 o'clock at then we could not get a table and there was nearly no food at all. We had to go to Deny's to get breakfast.

When we checked in, the guy at the desk was super friendly and told us about places to eat in the area. The room was really spacious and spotless. I used the pool there and found it clean and excellent. We were really pleased with our stay.

While the hotel is surrounded by oil refineries, it's also close to Kroger and dining, and not far from Highway 45 with very easy access to Galveston. Everything worked, the refrigerator was bigger than most. Overall a pleasant experience if you don't mind the industrial location.

I chose this hotel due to the reviews on it. I have found that a more expensive room doesn't mean a better nights stay. This motel is one of the best values for a room I know of. The hotel is just fine. It was spring break. It was crowded everywhere including the hotel. Some adjacent rooms had noisy people who were a little disturbing. The breakfast is okay, but we had a few problems operating the coffee/water thermoses. Overall, the hotel is pretty nice. We plan to stay there again in May.

I had previoulsy dismissed staying in Texas City for a Galveston visit, but it only took 8-9 minutes to get to the Galveston bridge. The reason I decided to stay here was because of some of the negative reviews for hotels on the island for 1.5 to twice the price. I am willing to pay the higher price for the Island, but it sure better be worth every […] penny, and my impression was that they were not going to be, being frugal kind of person that I am. When we checked into Comfort Suites we immediatly went and checked out the rooms and went out to the pool everything was nice and clean. We went to breakfast the next morning and there was a good variety and we were very satisfied with the food and the rooms. The only suggestion we had was vent fans in the bathrooms. Great alternative to the pricy Galveston hotels. Less than 15 minutes to the Strand. Friendly staff, and clean hotel. Pool was small, and quaint. My husband and I enjoyed a romantic stay here for our anniversary. King sweet was spacious and had great amenities. Free movie channels were a nice perk. We'll be back soon!

Needed a hotel room for the day before our cruise. The ones in Galveston were twice as much for much much less. This was an extremely nice hotel and only 15 minutes from the Terminal!

I would only recommend in the event that you can't afford to be closer to Galveston. The drive is about 10 to 15 minutes from Galveston. There's a place behind the Golden Corral off the beach and 61st that appeared to be reasonable however I had booked and couldn't get out of deal.
