Nous occupions l'une des chambres à trois lits dont une partie se trouve en mezzanine, du coup deux télés et plus d'espace pour tous. Enfin la situation de l'hôtel est très intérréssante, quartier très vivant le soir pour budget sérré, petit déjeuner à la hauteur et accueil souriant.

Bonne impression générale en découvrant la chambre (propre, équipée) mais les matelas étaient très médiocres. Nous pouvions sentir les ressorts.De plus les murs étant très fins nous avons été un peu dérangé par les aller et venues dans le couloir. Quoiqu'il en soit, c'est un hôtel très correct, l'accueil est sympathique et le petit-déjeuner copieux. L'emplacement est idéal, à deux pas de Hyde Park et sur la ligne Centrale du métro. Il y a même le bus 390 direct qui circule même la nuit depuis Oxford Street.

en arrivant agréable surprise d'avoir une chambre surclassée !!!! 2 chambres, séjour, salle de bains dernier étage pour un couple : pas de bruit de voisins, pas trop de rue même si nous étions côté rue. comme beaucoup d'hôtels anglais l'entretien des chambres et bâtiment (peinture, moquettes etc..) est un peu laissé de côté, il ne faut pas être regardant... par contre draps fournis et serviettes, le tout propre. disposés sur les lits avec savons+shampooing. Franchement le personnel est sympa, l'endroit pour des touristes est impecc. Sans hésiter si je devais repartir sur Londres, je rependrai cet hôtel ou le conseiller à un couple /famille.

Accueil, très sympa, très pro mais impersonnel, cela ne va pas plus loin. Pas de mots d'accueil, pas de mot pour les visites. J'ai payé via internet, sans aucun problème. Il y a un gardien 24/24, donc pas de problème pour les clés. On est arrivés à 10h00 alors que chambres dispos à 14h00, ils ont gardé les sacs dans un local et quand on est revenus à ,18h00 les bagages étaient montés dans l'appartement, très sympa.....Situé dans une rue, très peu passante, mais qui donne devant un accès d'hôpital d'où partent les ambulances, et aussi un giratoire d'autobus.....donc c'est bruyant la nuit malgré le vitrage double. Ce n'est pas gênant plus que ça, mais tout de même cela fait un bruit de fond qui est tout de même là.....C'est appartement est très bien équipé, propre, les lits sont confortables, et il ne manque rien. Petit bémol, mais bon on fait avec, les SDB sont petites. Il y a des pubs juste à côté, un restaurant qui vend du pain juste en dessous à partir de 7h00, c'est pratique et très sympa. Le supermarché "Tesco" à 400 mètres n'est pas terrible, il faut aller à "Tesco" à côté de la station de métro de Saint Paul, les produits sont plus frais...! En résumé c'est un bon point de chute avec ses petits inconvénients. Mon avis sur cet hôtel est positif et correspond parfaitement au descriptif du site de "Hotels.com"

"Même pour la famille"
Le libre accès à la piscine est un grand plus quand on est en famille. L'hiver est journées sont courtes mais les infrastrucutres (salle de sport, piscine, sauna, etc.) sont un parfait complément. Même si le personnel est parfois débordé, les sourirs ont toujours été présents, les 4 étoiles sont bien mérités. Nous étions 6 (2 adultes et 4 enfants) […] pour 2 chambres (2 + 4). The hotel and stay was as expected however, I would have preferred my expectations to be exceeded, if only just a little. The room was fine and staff perhaps could have been a little more efficient. We asked for a late check out, they extended it for one hour from 11 to 12 and claimed it was “complimentary”. It probably always is 12 but they wanted […] to make it sound like they’re giving a better service, I wasn’t really sold by that. A kettle, tea and coffee etc where provided in the room but there was no plug near the tea making equipment. We were woken up by children shouting and playing in the corridor at 9. Initially I thought the hotel wasn't very appealing given the frontage on an industrial estate. But walk through the front doors and the service is amazing! Front desk staff were lovely, restaurant staff lovely, and the room was the icing on the cake. Beautiful room, probably the best I have stayed in and I have travelled the world!

The staff were very nice and my husband enjoyed the sports channels, but I think the emphasis is on 'the Village' part of the building, the fitness club and restaurants rather than the hotel. It was fine for a one night stay, but double bed should have been king, there were no properly usable surfaces in the room (ie desk, place to put suitcase, the […] venetian blind was broken and no-one camer to fix it though we asked, the cleaner had not put glasses in the bathroom. There was nothing big wrong with our stay but lots of niggling things that made it less enjoyable than expected. The food was good and very good value - although they had run out of chicken wings, and the breakfast was mediocre. Room was on the small side, it was dusty, lighting was poor and you could not see what was in the wardrobe. A 40 minute wait for Breakfast was totally unacceptable especially when there were empty tables available that just needed to be just cleared away. Food was not hot enough and then had to wait for Juice and Milk to be replenished. More staff are […] required during the peak time. "Short break in London"
I chose this hotel as it was less expensive than staying in central London but was near enough to the tube station at Stanmore to be able to use this hotel as our base for a recent 2 night/3 day break in the capital. It is a business hotel of reasonable quality. Our "family room" was sufficiently large enough for myself and two children under 11 although […] the pull out beds for the kids made it rather difficult to manoever round the room easily. The hotels leisure facilities were clean and of a standard you would expect from the Village chain although we were not happy to find that the children were not allowed into the pool after 5pm. They had to swim during the day which took away the time we would have spent in the city. We ate in the pub restaurant one evening and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our meals were prompt, hot and tasty. I would fully recommend the pub/bar for evening meals. We did not eat in the Italian or the coffee bar during our stay so cannot comment on these facilities. Breakfast however must get a big mention. Both mornings we went down for breakfast at 9.15am and had to queue for over 40 minutes. When we complained about this we were told that it wasn't their fault that everyone arrived for breakfast at the same time and they were also short staffed due to illness. In my opinion, a break between Christmas and New Year is unlikely to be a business stay and the hotel knows who is staying at the hotel in terms of the higher than usual level of children. This should indicate that breakfasts would be taken later in the breakfast hours than earlier as would usually be the case for business guests. Myself and other queuing guests found it incredibly annoying to have to stand and wait for breakfast whilst looking at 5-7 deserted tables that had simply not been cleared by the staff ready for use by the next guests. This hotel was nice cheap and great to commute into london. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast which was served was also nice. Overall great to get into London and you don't have to pay the london prices.

Me and my partner checked in to the village london elstree for 2 nights. We are from Cornwall and was anxious abotu staying in London. When we checked in we were amazed at the hotel, it was huge and had everything you would need for a amazing break away. My wife and I made our reservation through www.hotels.com - Saving 10% on the booking! I had read previous reviews on tripadvisor and opted for the double room with breakfast. On arrival (8pm) the staff were very helpful and booking in was quick. The room that we were allocated was for disabled use. As my wife and I were only staying one night I did […] not see any reason to complain. The room seemed to lacking hotel guide/manual. We also did not have a remote control for the TV. This took over 30 minutes to replace. I am not sure that if this the same with all Village hotels, but the lack shampoo or normal soap is a shame. There were dispensers but both these were empty! We were looking at going out to eat, but thought we would try out the restaurant as it was getting late. We had a drink in The Victory pub, which was lively, a good atmosphere and also showing live sport (football). We then headed off for dinner and the management advised us that the Verve restaurant was closed, but they were using Inspiration suite (one of three conferencing rooms) as their restaurant. My wife and I still thought we would give it try. The restaurant had around five sittings (from couples through to a table of 6) when we walked in. You could tell that all of these people were hotel guests and not users of the health club. The Inspiration room had no windows, it was dimly lit, a purple candle on each table (not bright enough to provide the ambience of candle lit dinner) and for some reason the air conditioning was set to cold. We had jackets so we were Ok. The music playing, must have been piped from the gym (dance music), this was on so low you could hardly notice it when in conversation, but was still there nevertheless. I hope the village management read this and make sure that the music piped into their eating areas suits the ambience of that room. The closest tube station is 4 miles - Edgwood. In order to get there and back, a taxi will cost you from GBP 7 - 12 (depending on if you get a mini-cab or a black cab). Really pleased with the hotel. We were staying with 2 small children and it made a pleasant change to have a lovely large room with enough room for a huge double bed and 2 single beds. Not at all cramped. The children loved the swimming pool. Highly recommended.
"Too Far From Central London"
When I made the reservation for this hotel, I had read a few reviews that said it was conveniently located to rail and underground stations. While this is true, the stations are 1 hour+ away from Central London. Cab far is about 5 pounds to the rail, which was out of service most of the trip. On the way back it was more like 10 pounds. To the underground […] was about 6 pounds there. 12 pounds back. Plus cost of rail/underground. There were never any cabs at the underground station when we got back. That was the only bonus to the rail, there usually were cabs awaiting arriving passengers. The hotel service was terrible, our room was only cleaned once. (Cleaning crew came by at 8am. If you weren't up, they didn't come back). Upon explaining our displeasure with both the service and location, the hotel and hotels.com held steadfast on not allowing us to check out early. Both citing that it was the others decision to break policy. Granted I am partly to blame for not doing more thorough research, but that being said I would not recommend this hotel or hotels.com to anyone based on my experience. Lisez la suite

i booked through hotel.com .the hotel was lovely ,staff were really pleasant and helpful.very busy hotel .definately recommend it ,and would stay again.only two things that let it down,.I took along my elderly mum and as she spent the evening in the hotel room,was very dissapointed that the television only had sports channels and news on,which is a […] first .thought it may of only been her tv but when i tried the one in our room it was the same.the bebdroom was big enough for a wheel chair to move around in ,but if you have elderly or disable with you ask for the room to be for them ,as the beds although very comfortable are very high .all in all very smart and clean and for hotels in and around that area couldnt fault.well done village hotel Lisez la suite

"A fantastic stay"
My partner and myself stayed in the Village Elstree for 3nights over the weekend and we had a brilliant experience! We are a young couple but the hotel is well suited to anybody. I was a patient at the nearby Royal National Orhopaedic hospital and required a hotel near the stanmore site. The hotel is only 5 minutes away and is in a lovely quite location […] but very close to the M1. The hotel decor is beautiful and very classy. I found the color scheme of purple,grey & green was very relaxing and created a lovely atmosphere in both the room and reception. The bedroom and bathroom were both lovely and big with plenty of room to move around. The shower is a wet-room style shower which is helpful and ideal for anyone who struggles to climb in and out of a bath/shower . The bed was very comfortble and the linen & pillows soft. Full length mirrors on the wardrobes are handy along with the dressing table/desk section with a mirrored wall and lovely armchair. Starbucks in the lobby is really good and we ordered room service one night which is the same menu as "Verve" ,the grill downstairs. (same prices too + a small tray charge). My partners meal was lovely and mine was okay but I ordered the catch of the day without asking what it was and unfortunately it was something I didn't like!! However this was my own fault and the presentation and accompaniments were lovely. Due to the reason for our stay I was unable to use the health & fitness facilities and salon so I can't comment as to the quality but I can say that if they are as good as the rest of the hotel then I'm sure they are fabulous. The hotels location is ideal for both Central London and Watford. London took us around 25minutes by car in relatively heavy traffic and we did Watford in 15 minutes. There is a tube station 5minutes away and a bus stop just over the road. (Also very handy is a petrol station literally 1min away) Lastly all there is to say is that I would 100% stay here again and plan to during my next vi Lisez la suite

"Nice Enough but .."
We stayed at the Village Hotel, Elstree on 1 January. It was easy enough to find and the location was good for us. The hotel is fairly new so looked modern and well maintained. We got to our room and found no pillow cases on the pillows and only 1 towel in the bathroom, it also looked as though the bed hadn't been changed as the sheet was hanging out […] and the duvet cover was completely creased. I phoned reception and was told the room had been serviced, that she knew some items were missing but thought they had been replaced now. After an hour of waiting for the missing linen I went to reception and said we were still waiting, I was asked to wait another 5 minutes. 35 minutes later we were given 2 new pillows - still no towels! On the plus side we had a meal in the onsite pub which was really nice. At check out the following morning we were told that there had been problems with the linen delivery due to the bank holiday! Although our stay wasn't perfect we would go again if we needed a hotel in that area. Lisez la suite

The Village is a great deal. The hotel is beautiful and has several convenient services. The underground and a rail services are about a 5 minute cab ride from the hotel and they take you right into London. Recommended by a friend. Good location for visiting London, ample free car parking, 10 minutes from Standmore / Edgware tube stations, where you can buy a pass for unlimited travel all around London. Modern and clean. Only negatives were no soap of any kind in the bathroom, which the receptionist solved by giving us 4 small bottles of liquid soap. The […] breakfast area is nice, reasonable food but is not large enough for hotel capacity meaning a 5 minute wait before being seated. "Perfect hotel for travel to Central London!"
This hotel was perfect for those who want something at a more budget rate and then travel in to London for the day. The hotel was great, rooms were really nice with big flat screen TV's. And it was only about a 5-minute drive / £5 taxi to the tube station that takes you straight into London. I would definitely stay here again!

"Nettes Hotel mit kleinen Schwächen"
Wir waren vom 01.10. - 03.10. in dem Hotel. Die Zimmer und das Gesamte Hotel machen einen guten Eindruck. Beim näheren hinsehen findet man natürlich ein paar kleinere Mängel. So war der an dem Waschbecken und in der Dusche befestigte Seifen / Duschgelspender nicht befüllt. Das Frühstück fand ich super, da ich nicht der Fan von Speck usw. am morgen […] bin.... es gab einen großen Müsli Tisch mit Obst Joghurt usw. "Hvis komfort er viktig"
Dette er et veldig fint hotell til denne prisen i London. Problemet er at man må bruke en del tid på å reise frem og tilbake med tog og buss. Det står ingen taxi og venter på Elstree & Borehamwood st. når du kommer, og buss nummer 107 er oppe i halvtimes intervaller litt utpå kvelden.

A szálloda modern tiszta, a teljes angol reggeli hibátlan(tojás,kolbász,hal,sonka,paradicsom,krumpli,bab+péksütemények, gyümölcsök, müzlik, lekvárok). Autóval nagyon jó helyen van, viszont nincs közvetlen kapcsolódó tömegközlekedési londoni járat. A helyi állomás 5GBP taxival vagy 15 perc busszal, onnan kb. fél óra a belváros.

今人気のスタイリッシュなホテルという感じです。建物は新しいのですが、私達が泊まった部屋は掃除がよくされてなくて、明らかに他人の髪が散乱していました。 そういった部屋に当たらなければロンドンと比べて宿代は安いですし、良いのではないでしょうか。周りには何もないので車利用でなければ不便でしょう。
