the room was too small for a king. it smelled like old chlorine.it was a smoking room with no ashtrays and when asked for ashtrays was told they ran out but there was never one there to start with 3 small pillows when asked for more was told again they ran out. parking was unreal.

The stay at econo lodge was pleasing. We were near to all the sights that were exciting and fun to attend. The rate for staying at the hotel were very reasonable. The econo lodge was realy close to the beach and the veiw was awesome.

I was staying somewhere else at the time but booked it for my family so they could come to our beach wedding. After the wedding they went back to the room and they were not pleased with the way the room looked. They didn't even unpack. They turned around and went next door to the days inn. They said it was much nicer and a lot cheaper.

The best things about this hotel are a nice ocean front location and a nice complimentary breakfast. The rest falls into the average catagory at best. I've seen bathrooms that were bigger than this room! Brunt lamp shades, terrible odor, LOUD, NOT ocean front!! I'm 6'1" 225lbs; the bathroom is so small that I had to back in it..I could not walk in and turn around because it was so small! The refrigerator was utterly fifthly and disgusting. enjoyed the hotel.. staff was friendly and helpful.. breakfast was good for me, not a big breakfast eater. took a bit to learn to operate door. room clean hotel was nice just needs some remodel it been at the beach for awhile. Won't stay here again. Small is a mass understatement. Noisy. Dirty. "Spa" is in the underground parking lot.. Only plus is that they allow pets.

Customer service was ok. After raining all night the lower parking garage was filled with water up to my ankels. The hotel had a bad smell in hallways and pool water was not clear. The rooms are in bad need of upgraiding. However, they are very pet friendly.

For a hotel that is right on the beach, I expected it to be a bit better. I've stayed in some much nicer Econo Lodge hotels before. This place is very rundown and I hadn't realized that it had outside entrances to the rooms. I was disappointed that we didn't have our own balcony. Everything in the room felt damp. Stains on the sheets and towels. Thankfully, I brought my own bedding. Hairs stuck in the towels. The pool was green. The guy running the place was rude to some of the customers. The building was in very poor condition.

There were some maintances that need to be done for a room that my wife & I were not able to stay in. The room that we were given to us; behind the toilet there were a leak from the bottom/base, had to get a battery for the remote, the towels had stain on them, and the room need to get a face-lift. The sofa bed was very soiled. I hoped the bed sheets were clean. The rain came in under our entrance door, balcony door and leaked through the ceiling wetting some of our clothes! Maintenance used a wet vac on the carpet but it was still soggy and we had to wear shoes to walk on it and keep towels on the tiled surface to keep from slipping. The pool […] had murkey water. Needs alot of work was not clean at all . Elevator did not work and we had to walk stairs to 5th. floor.everday. We would not have stay there if we could have found some where else to stay.

the location was great. Hotel was right on the beach. The condition of the hotel was not to be desired. There was no phone in the room. The room smelled very musty. This hotel is very old and the outside needs some TLC. However, the rooms were very clean but they do need updating. The rooms are a bit small especially for a family of 4 and a dog, but the service was great and the rooms were cool, quite and clean. We were supposed to get a ocean front view but ended up just getting a side view but the dog walk was […] just outside our door and that was great! If you plan to stay for more than a week with a dog I would suggest a better location but just for a week it is right on the beach and on the strip with all the sites! We were very comfortable but we did not spend much time in the room. The staff was very kind to not enter the room while we were gone so not to upset our sweet pooch. Our dog enjoyed the stay as much as we did and I think he even gained weight while staying the staff always left him a dog biscuit on our clean towels they left out side our room each day with a tag that said "For Oreo" Love the Econo Lodge Staff. We found the room to be comfortable, decent, and clean. The refrigerator did not work; but, we had a cooler. The location was very convenient to everything we needed access to; and, we were just steps from the beach. Overall, it met our expectations, and we are thankful to be able to get a room at last minute notice---at a very good price, too!!!

When we arrived they told us we had to wait an additional hour to check in as the housekeepers were sitting around talking with one another. Person at the front desk rudder than anything. I wasn't expecting a 4 star hotel but this was really a disappointment. Ocean view for us meant overlooking the black tar roof of the building next door out to a "glimpse" of the ocean. The elevator area smelled so awful (urine), the elevator was full of water and sand. The place has not been kept up from the sand and salt air. it was awful and we will never stay here agian. The rooms were run down, the items for the bathroom were not stocked so we had to go to the front desk and ask for what we needed. The people around us was so loud we had to turn the ac on high and leave the tv on all night so we could try and sleep. There was people out at the pool drinking beer. It was a great place to stay for college kids. It was definitely worth it to have an oceanfront view and the room was very big. The location was great it was close to the strip and was minutes away from grocery stores. It wasn't the nicest hotel but it was definitely great for what we paid.

So it was ok for a short stay we were there for 3u nights and by the last night I was Soooo ready to leave the junk hole. The hot tub is not hot its just a more of a heated pool.... the shower was horrible the hotel can not handle the water output showers were cold. The neighborhood is horrible u could smell the drugs. we don't stay in the room a lot on vacation, we simply need a safe and clean space to rest our heads. saying this the room was fine, it was clean the staff was nice. beds comfortable. could sorta see the ocean if you went in the hall and leaned on the balcony. neighbors were sometimes loud since the room was cheap the customers were a lot of collage […] kids parking area not so great, parking was tight. this is not the best hotel I've stayed at in Myrtle Beach, but not the worst. there are so many other hotels in MB, I would most likely try another next time unless this one just happens to be reasonably cheaper than any others. This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach so we weren't really sure the 'right' place to stay. The rate was amazingingly inexpensive so my expectations weren't real high. We […] looked at it and it was clean & tidy and fit our needs just fine. This is by no means a 5 star hotel, it is a beach motel that has seen years of guests. It is seeing it's age but in decent shape. We were in the room to sleep & shower. We spent our days at the pool & beach. The full size refrigerator came in handy to hold the leftovers from dinners out, which in turn saved us $$ on lunches! :) The motel is on the beach & about 20 blocks or so from the Grand Strand area, almost a 2 mile walk.
