Plage à proximité, très beau sable mais la baignade est désagréable avec les algues. La piscine a été fermée durant tout mon séjour sans raison valable avec aucune explication. Manque d'activités autour de l'hôtel. Milieu peu ou pas animé, beaucoup plus intéressant à Falmouth ou Provincetown. This hotel is right on the beach, has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. We had plans to visit other places during our 2 day stay, but we would have been just as happy staying put. Nice room layout with large closet that we used as a 'dressing' room; nice kitchenette, but the only supplies were plastic bowls, plates, and eating utensils. The rooms and location were brilliant, the staff very friendly and helpful. Ocean Mist is right on the beach and has it's own (child safe) pool area as an alternative to the sea. We had a loft room which had a mezzanine floor sitting area and the room had a balcony on both levels. It was great to breakfast on the balcony and listen to the sound of the […] sea. My family had a lovely long weekend at the Ocean Mist. We were there on opening weekend, so there were some choppy spots--our first set of key cards didn't work, only staff could unlock the indoor pool, we had to get the bellman to move a piece of furniture to open the fold out couch. But our suite was big and comfortable, the pools were nice and well-maintained, […] and there was the beach and some great restaurants in walking distance. Hotel was right on the beach for early morning jogs or evening strolls. They are in the middle of exterior improvements, but were not annoying. It will be just beautiful when they are done. The recent updates are very nice. We stayed in a suite with a loft, although it is very spacious the lack of dresser and draws forced us to work out of suitcases. The hotel was in the middle of renovations. Our room appeared to be newly renovated. Carpet appeared to be new and bathroom was nicely done. They ask that in the interest of the environment, if we were to hang our towels on the rack, they would not be replaced. Got a good rate at Hotels.com for this great hotel on the water in So. Yarmouth, MA. Room was large with two queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and sink. Bathroom was handicap accessible and large and new. We had two chairs outside our room to sit out on and the beach was at the end of the hotel. We arrived late, 10pm kind of late..the room was nice, only the toilet had some of what looked like dirty water in it but other than that the room was nice. The next morning, we dressed for the pool about 930 and headed down, only to be told that it wasn't open until noon. Noon? Why on earth would a hotel open their pool at noon? Also, there are rooms booked as ocean view, and some that aren't.. they all face the same direction, the parking lot.. the ones that are not ocean view are first floor, the ones that are are just up higher so you can actually see the ocean from an angle. We enjoyed our stay. The beach was right there, the room was very nice. It was set in a nice neighborhood and convenient to the main road as well. We only were able to stay at the hotel for one night, but it was a good experience. The front desk clerk was very courteous. We were pleasantly suprised with a free room upgrade. The suite was it great condition except that the kitchen sink could use a change and the outside of the fridge had some stains. The close proximity to the beach was great, […] especially since we had an infant and could run back to the room when needed. The was the construction of the pool and alot of landscaping going on, but when that is completed I'm sure it will be a very nice location and we will look to visit again. "Renovated but has some issues"
We stayed for several days and enjoyed the time. It's right on the water and we could see the ocean from both balconies. The pool inside was not working and the one outside is just being built (we knew that from reading the posts previous to our stay so it was not a shock). The staff is nice and friendly but the property has some issues until the full […] renovation is done. Some people complained of a musty smell in the room which I didn't quite get but the hallways there was some sense of that (but it's an ocean front motel folks there is bound to be a bit of that). They compensate for the musty hallways (maybe they read previous posts) with automatic airfresheners. The one in our hallway ran low or the battery was dying because it kept making a beeping sound. Additionally there was an every so often sewage smell. At first I thought it was low tide but I think it has more to do with the digging they are doing for the pool. Having stayed at Ocean Mist before, we were very happy with the room renovations that took place this past year. Previously musty with bad carpeting and not-so-comfortable beds, this year we found new everything! The beds, and pillows, were soooo comfortable. Now, I know we were among the first to experience the newness ~ I just hope that other guests […] are appreciative and respectful enough to keep the rooms in good shape for the upcoming years. Ocean Mist is in the process of installing an outdoor pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, it looks like the pump house will block the ocean view for many of the ground level rooms. Their indoor pool and hot tub are also being renovated which was an inconvenience as many people like to get a little break from the salt and sun of the beach. We had a junior suite with a celing fan, skylight iwth automatic shade, 2 decks and 2 TVs, - both very exciting to my teen daughters. The big problem was that while the rooms […] are non-smoking people on the level below us smoked on the patio outside of their rooms constantly making it impossible to enjoy sitting on our decks or even to have our sliders open to fresh air. If the property is serious about a non-smoking policy there should be a designated area away from other guests where people are allowed to smoke. The location of the hotel is great. As is the hotel itself. The hotel has a lot of plus points...but lots of minuses too. My husband and I were hot and tired after a long drive to the Cape. We were ready to jump in the pool and cool down and relax. But when we got there, we were told that BOTH!! pools were under maintenance. This is an understatement. […] Both pools were actually being redone it seemed. (We later found out through another person that the pools have been "under maintenance" for 2 years !) This was our biggest disappointment. After what we paid for this room, there was no indoor pool, no outdoor pool, no firepit, nothing outside (it was all being redone.) They told us we can use the pool at the sister hotel which is very close by. But if anyone has seen the traffic on the Cape, you know that a 5 minute drive is really a half hour away. How inconvenient. I would have hoped they let you know before you book the hotel about the condition of the place. They really should discount the rooms more in this case. for the amount I paid, I could have spent the same amount elsewhere and gotten more amenities. The only other thing that was disappointing was the bed. It was too soft. I sunk in when I lay down on it. My back really hurt the next morning.
