We arrived early in the day and the front desk employee said to keep calling to check and see if a room was available. I called 4 times between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm and there were no rooms. At 4:oo (check in time) we went to the hotel and were told there were still no rooms ready. I asked why if check out time is 11:oo am and she said some people don't […] check out on time. I asked her to double check on a room and she had one she could put us in so we went to our room and the keys would not work. I went back to the front desk and got new keys and those did not work either. My third trip I talked to a man who said he would give me new keys again and go the the room with me. The new door opened fine and he tried the 1st room keys and said they didn't work and it must have been the door. My question is if the desk clerk said there weren't any rooms how did she magically come up with not only one but two empty rooms? My other complaint is I had a 15 year old and a 14 year old with me and was told they could not use the hot tub because you have to be 16 (nothing in brochure to indicate age limit on hot tub) and told pool employee I would be in the hot tub with them and she said they could not use it. I thought our room was very clean and nice and the location was great but the hotel staff was not accomodating except for the gentlemen that helped me with the keys. "Time to invest in a remodel/renovation"
This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Our first room had a broken door lock. Luckily, the room across the hall was still available and we were able to move, but in that room the towel rack fell off the wall after hanging just two wet towels on it. I called the hotel two days in advance to ensure that the water slides would not be closed down […] due to the freezing weather outside. The girl who answered the phone assured me that the slides have been insulated and they don't close them down anymore for cold weather. Sure enough, the slides were frigid at night and were shut down by the next morning. The owners deperately need to invest money to improve the rooms and waterpark. As it stands, this will be our last trip to Wasserbahn since places like Grand Harbor are much better kept up and just as affordable. On a good note, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful (not so much the waterpark staff), and the food at the Seven Villages Restaurant was terrific. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com

"This hotel is all about the pool"
This hotel is an older property that is kept up pretty well. It is mainly about the pool. It is our half way stop on the way to Chicago. It would be better if they included a basic breakfast. If not for the pool, the hotel would not be noteworthy in any way.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Great waterpark hotel near the Amana Colonies."
This hotel has a great indoor waterpark. It may be a little small for teens, but it was perfect for my preschooler and elementary schooler.Avis véridique Expedia

"High priced for the condition of the hotel."

"Just okay..."
This hotel wasn't awful, but not great. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The "Wasserbahn Waterpark" was a HUGE disappointment!! Had we known how lame the waterpark was, we would have stayed a few exits to the east and enjoyed a huge selection of shopping and dining. "Contaminated water relocated at midnight"
The hotel was clean and well maintained but poorly managed. Aparently the well ran low and the Hotel was evacuated around 9:30 PM but they missed us, we were awaken by a security guard opening our door @ 12:15 AM. 3 days later and I still have not recieved a call back from the manager after several attempts to reach her. After speaking to employees […] at the surrounding businesses I found out the well has run low before with the same results. My family will not be staying at this Hotel again. "Great location to my Father's home"
The Wasserbahn was the highlight of our stay. Maids and front desk reps were helpful and friendly. Our bathroom had a bad smell (room 104). After the maid service it smelled fresher. "Very Disappointed overall"
They charged us 10 extra because there were 5 of us to use the water park. The slides were not working and the water in pool was cloudy. The air in our room would not cool down the room. The young man in the morning at the desk had a shirt on that was so wrinkled it looked like it had sat in a laundry basket for days. "Good I guess if your not there for the waterpark."
We had a graduation at Iowa University to attend and thought this would be a great little getaway for the night. Get away from home, swim, and hang out in the hot tub. Well the pool is very small for any kind of swimming, and the hot tub was not working. So we tried to make the best of it but, even the sauna didn't work. One would think that you would […] make sure everything would work for the weekend guests, which there was an abundance of. I guess if you have very little children it would be ok. The room was comfortable and clean. Bring your own pillows and something to block out the noise from your neighbors, because you will hear everything they decide to discuss at 2:30 am. "Poor service"
The hotel staff is less than efficient. We were in town for a memorial service and ordered room service as we had arrived late at night due to flight delays. Our order never came. We cancelled the order after an hour and half of wait time and ended up attending our family's memorial service havind had no supper the night before nor breakfast the following […] morning. In my many years of travel, including international travel I have never experienced a lack of response to a room service order. The hotel is adequate, but I cannot recommend it. Comfort of our room did not score high due to the lack of heat. The temperature outside dropped in the evening but the heater would only plow cold air. Waterpark was good. The room overall cleanliness was good, but the AC unit in our room was leaking and the carpet in front of the unit was soaking wet for about 2-3 feet.
