The Westin Jersey City Newport - Jersey City

Un bel hôtel mais rien pour accueillir les touristes: pas une bouteille d'eau offerte, ni accuellir les étrangers : sur 70 chaînes de TV pas une en français, ni en allemand, ni en italien..., ni fêter le nouvel an, pas une fleur, pas un mot, pas un chocolat ! L'efficacité , pas le minimum de charme !

Hotel sympa, chambre agréable et propre. Personnel accueillant. Hotel calme.

Propre, confortable et bien situé. Quartier sécuritaire, à 2 minutes de marche du transit vers NY et du train de banlieu. Resto de l'hôtel trop cher, surtour pour les déjeuners. Cosi à proximité vaut le détour pour manger à bon prix.

Hotel merveilleusement situé a l'extérieur de Manhattan. Cout tres correct et acceuil tres bien. Juste a coté du Path train qui nous amene dans Manhattan en 15 minutes et vers toutes les connections du metro de NY. Hotel tres propre et tres recent (3 ans seulement ) je vais y retourner c'est certain.

Tout est parfait. Confort , propreté, service, accueil dans un très bel environnement et proche des stations de métro et de train pour accéder à New York.

we stayed at the hotel to have a day in NYC, the PATH train station is one block from the hotel and drops you off on 33th street. Times Square is 42nd. Very clean & good location looking out over the Hudson into NYC

This hotel is in a perfect location to bounce over to NYC on the path and the rooms are really nice. We found the staff at the front desk to be rude and unhelpful however.

Hotel was conveniently located to local restaurants, shopping and mass transit to Manhattan. price was reasonable, room was comfortable and well appointed. Parking was more expensive than an adjacent hotel we had stayed in on a previous trip and we had to pay for wi-fi. We would probably stay there again, though, all things considered

Great location and quality at a fraction of the price of staying in Manhattan. I stayed with 4 girls for a Bachelorette weekend and we couldn't have been happier. The closeness to the PATH, friendliness of staff, comfort of the room and great pool all made our trip fantastic. Will definitely stay here again.

My family and i had a wonderful stay. We came up to do some weekend sightseeing in new york. we found the hotel easily accessible to both train and subway. my children LOVED both the pool and jaquzzi. Room service was excellent with all of our requests and all requests were responded to quickly. I would definitely come back again!!!!

I grew up in Jersey City and travel there frequently to visit family and spend time in New York City. However, this was my first stay at the Westin and I hope it won't be my last. Our 22nd floor room was attractive and we appreciated being close to the PATH train and the Hudson County Light Rail. The staff were friendly and helpful. Two significant […] downsides: There is no free wifi in the guest rooms and we found the Sunday brunch buffet to be skimpy and not worth the price. I would like to give a special shout-out to Anna in the hotel security office. At about 11:00 pm, hours after I checked out, I realized that I had left my toiletry kit in the room. It would have been no big deal had I not had a pair of favorite earrings in the bag. Anna retrieved my items that night and had them packaged up and sent via UPS the very next morning. Great hotel, very close to the path station were you can go to manhattan in 10 min. Back to the hotel is a big mall, where you can find any kind of stores. Is a good choise by the price and location. The only thing bad that i can say is the room was not very clean , and also the pool was dirty. Every thing else was great,

3 things I like the most for this hotel are: 1. Great location: Path station & Starbuck are only one block away, trust that would be the most concern for all the travellers. it takes only 15 minutes to get to penn station in NY, and the trains run very often. 2. Nice bed: the bed tells the quality of a hotel. I'm a frequent traveller but I also had […] back pain, so I have high standard for the bed. The pillow top bed in this hotel is one of the very few hotel bed which I could sleep without rolling around all night or waking up many times at the midnight. 3. Nice pool: the indoor pool is clean and located in a room with glass roof and windows, so you can watch the blue sky and beautiful clouds while you swim. Lisez la suite

Front desk was horrible. We checked in at past 3 pm, and were told that our reserved room was not yet available as they were fully booked the previous day. We were advised to come back in an hour. So we came back at past 4, and waited until 4:30 pm. Still, room was not ready. Pressed to give an estimate of when the room would be ready, the lady answered […] haughtily that she did not know whether the room would be ready in 5 minutes or 5 hours! (At that point, my wife was so scared I would give her a piece of my mind. So, I let it pass) We decided we would not waste our vacation time waiting in the lobby for a room that might not be ready until 5 hours hence - and returned at 9 pm. Front deskman required my wife to present her passport AGAIN! The saving grace were the luggage assistant and doorman, who were very attentive to our needs. For the price of their rooms, I expected better service and courtesy, especially from the front desk. Never again. Lisez la suite

I chose this hotel for it's location and was happy I did. Close to the PATH train, which leads to New York City quickly, plus the surrounding area has plenty within walking distance to keep anyone who enjoys getting away from the big city to a neighborhood feeling, occupied. All employee's I encountered were friendly, helpful, accomodating, and attentive. […] I never felt I was asking too much, or receiving too little. A great place. I would stay here again. ***RECOMMENDED***This Hotel made it convinient to get to Manhattan with no problems. The Path trains were across the street and it was a 7-15 miute ride to get into Manhattan, not to mention more than 1/2 the price of the hotels in Manhattan. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. This is my first time staying at a Westin, […] and now that i know the service I get, I will definitely stay again. I got a good deal for this hotel. Train is close so it is easy to get into NYC. Great for a family.

I usually stay in Manhattan but found the Westin prices to be substantially less, and the rooms larger and more comfortable. Loved the bed/blankets/linens - it was like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was very large, as was the room itself. Nice big flat-screen TV with many channels to choose from. PATH station is a block away, restaurants and shopping […] are not far. Parking was a touch expensive, but better than daily garage rates in Manhattan. I would definitely stay here again. Lisez la suite

We stayed here to visit NYC for our first time so we didn't know what to expect. The area this hotel is in is super nice, clean, and quiet. We spent many late nights in the city and we didn't feel at all uncomfortable walking from the PATH station to the hotel at 2am.

Staff was friendly, plenty of places to eat, path train into New York was right behind the hotel. We had an amazing stay at The Westin.

I enjoyed my stay at The Westin Jersey Newport! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the service was great! I would recommend people to stay at the hotel. The mall is walking distance and also a beautiful site of the city!

We were travelling to Newark airport and wanted to spend a day in NYC so chose a hotel in Jersey for convenience and price. The Westin is easy to find, has parking on site, and is almost across the street from the train into NYC. There is a mall behind the hotel and lots of other shopping in the area.

The hotel is located a block away from the PATH trains and the NJ Light Rail - very convenient to access NYC and Liberty State Park (Statue of Liberty) and Hoboken. Also, the indoor pool was a nice touch.

If this hotel could have at least one restaurent which can offer buffet breakfast, good lunch and wonderful dinner that will be perfect alt all.

So, we wanted to go to the city for the weekend and the Westin NJ had an excellent rate, which was much cheaper than Manhattan hotels. We were also able to park our car for $22 per 24 hour period (so 44 for the whole weekend cuz it was about 48 hours). It was a really short drive from the city (we drove in from Boston and crossed via the Holland Tunnel […] and it was very close to the exit) and there is no toll going into NJ (although its about $12 going back which stinks). Anyways, the hotel was very clean, very nice, spacious rooms, excellent service, good location within 2 mins of the PATH train. So we left our car there and took the PATH into manhattan (about 25 mins from hotel to 33rd street/penn station) and stayed there both days. Overall, EXCELLENT hotel. Lisez la suite

This hotel is located adjacent to the Newport Mall and steps away from the PATH and lightrail. Very clean and modern, excellent service from staff, close to restaurants and shops, The Westin is the perfect stay for a weekend in NYC or nearby Hoboken, NJ. Highly recommended!

We stayed two nights, and were very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made several great suggestions. The lobby, room, and restaurant were beautiful. The location was great - right near a PATH station and super shopping. NOT TO MENTION how close and easy it is to get to NYC.
