L'Apex Waterloo Place Hotel abrite le Yu Spa, un espace bien-être doté d'une piscine couverte par un toit de verre, un espace fitness à la pointe de la technologie et un sauna. Des soins de beauté y sont également proposés (en supplément). L'Elliott's Restaurant and Bar sert une cuisine écossaise moderne mettant l'accent sur les ingrédients frais et de saison. Chambres.

Les chambres sont climatiséeset les fenêtres peuvent s'ouvrir. Les clients sont « accueillis » par un canard en plastique Apex coloré comme un champignon qu'ils peuvent ramener comme souvenir. le qualité des chambres et du service, personnel très agréable,souriant et serviable. Le restaurant et le pub propose un large choix à des prix raisonnables. Le complèxe de piscine/spa excellent et propreté et hygiène remarquable. Très bien desservi par des bus avec des retours du centre d'Edimbourgh vers minuit. Note générale excellente.

"Pleasurable experience"
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a higher floor so that we could have a better view. Bed was so comfortable I could have stayed there and slept for 24 hrs, but we had to leave! Bathroom had a bath which was very welcome when most accommodation has very pokey bathrooms. This hotel was a pleasant surprise, the room was great, quiet, and modern. Loved it and I will be staying at Apex hotels more often. A couple of observations, anyone with bulky luggage arriving by train may not want to follow the walking directions to the hotel provided on their website, it involves going up and down a couple of flights of stairs. Also, […] the isolated door where the instructions lead to can also be deceptively suspicious, don't be intimidated by it, just ring the bell to get the door opened for you and take the elevator to the lobby level. "STAY HERE!"
Our bags were lost when we landed in Edinburgh and as soon as we got to the hotel and told them, one of the receptionists called the airline immediately and got on the case. When we got to our room, I didn't like it because I prefer rooms facing the street rather than the interior. I called and the room was switched immediately, we didn't have to go […] back to reception, we were just told to meet someone on the floor with the new room. The place was clean, and well maintained. LINDA, the concierge was AMAZING! She had a wealth of information and she was genuinely interested in us having a good experience. She gave us plenty of pointers and information places to visit. Lovely hotel in the new part of town. Just a 15 minute walk through town to some of the main tourist attractions (Castle, Palace) and in a great neighborhood, close to lots of shops and restaurants. The prices listed for breakfast seemed expensive, but there are plenty of nice eateries nearby, more reasonably priced. "Close to the main attractions in the city centre"
We've stayed here before and found the hotel to be excellent. As before we found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the double room was clean and spacious. The hotel is just a five minute walk from the train station, and our main reason for staying, the Edinburgh Playhouse. We had a lovely time at the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Edinburgh, only a short walk to the shops, galleries, castle and Arthurs Seat! The room was very nice, luxurious bathroom, big TV, complimentary refreshments. We used the gym, spa, pool and sauna - all of which were perfect. The only complaint (from […] my partner) is that there were no heavy weight machines in the gym, only light free weights, but that didn't bother me! "Great room, shame about the smell!"
We had a superior room but when we arrived it was stiflingly hot. When we turned down the heating ( it had been set at 27 degrees) we noticed a horrendous damp smell throughout the room and bathroom. As we were only saying one night and were going out for the night we didn't bother to ask for a move. The room (apart from the smell) was huge,with an […] equally huge bathroom - the walk in shower alone would take a football team! The expresso coffee was very good. The bar area was very nice but can't comment on breakfast as we declined the offer - £10 each is a bit steep even in Edinburgh. We stayed at the Apex Waterloo hotel for Hogmanay and everything was spectacular. The hotel was very sleek and modern and the service was unbelievable. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful! We actually arrived early and early check in was not an issue. It was very easy to walk to from the Waverley train station and all other popular attractions […] (prince street, royal mile, calton hill, castle, arthur's seat, etc.). The hotel is very close to everything but noise is not an issue because it is right out of the hustle and bustle of the center of the city. Even during Hogmanay (the New Year's celebration/one of the busiest times of the year) we didn't experience any problems with noise. To top it all off the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We chose this hotel because it's close to Waverley and Princes Street and has a pool, much appreciated after a long day's travel with my eight-year-old. I could tell right away that the hotel catered more to adults than kids, but both the morning and evening staff went out of their way to be kind to my son, so no problem there. Our room was very comfortable […] and modern, with lots of wardrobe space, firm bed with nice pillows, an enormous tv and walk-in shower (the sleek shower head was a bit small for my liking, a minor complaint). Skipped the restaurant and headed straight for the pool, which is by the spa and gym, accessed through the shower rooms. The pool is all atmosphere, dimly lit with piped-in (low-volume) music, but it worked for us. Then to bed, very quiet, and the 6:30 wake-up call was right on time. A short but enjoyable stay!
