the hotel was cheap--the room was very small. Breakfast was a little skimpy. The cleaning personnel were on the lazy side. Hotel is in a good location.

The rooms are small, but they're clean and the hotel is in a convenient location. Fridge in the room is a nice feature, as is the free Wi-Fi. It's not fancy, but it's not priced that way. Good value for the $.

We were in town for one night and only have good things to say about this hotel. Good location. I would stay here again for sure. As for the continental breakfast, it had everything you could want and then some, in particular the local Community coffee!

The rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, but was the same every morning...so I would have liked a little variety...but again, it was good (and free).

I always stay here when I'm in Breaux Bridge visiting family and the accommodations are consistently great. Wake up to hot waffles and a friendly staff. My brother couldn't book a room and was trapped at the sleazy 8, he was at the front desk begging for a room the next morning and was lucky enough to get a room because of a cancellation.

We reqested a room for two normal adults. We were placed in a single room for a handicapped person. The staff did not seem concerned with the inconvienice we were placed in. The comment made to me by the staff was, "At least you have a large bathroom."

Hotel was just fine for price, just as good or better than other nearby hotels that were priced at a higher rate. Young children traveling with us really enjoyed the swimming pool.

This hotel is a great find! So close to Lafayette, yet just a few miles out of town lets you feel the quiet of the Breaux Bridge area. We stayed for a couple of days, noticing the same dedicated workers as each day passed. They were very friendly, and the service was amazing. Anything you might need, they are glad to help you. We were very impressed with this hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was great. Comfortable beds & pillows, modern decor, fridge & microwave... I don't know if all the rooms had this, but ours had a window seat with a cushion. It was perfect to read or talk on the phone.

The management was very friendly and courteous. I was awakened at 2:00 AM by the smell of smoke. The Air-Conditioner apparently had an electrical contactor problem. After checking the room for a smoke alarm, i decided to try to sleep. In an hour or so, there was an intermittent noise in the unit like a rat was trying to escape. Rooms tiny but clean and comfy bed. Hotel a way out of town no restaraunts in walking distance. Not much in town to do although has all the conveniences required for a stay over. Hotel staff friendly but nothing to write home about.

It shouldn't have come as a surprise that a hotel with "micro" in its name had small rooms, but these were even smaller than expected. Friendly service but breakfast left a little to be desired. Rooms are clean but just too small for two people.

This hotel was very new. The landscaping hadn't really grown in all the way yet. The staff (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance) were nice and accommodating. The only complaint that I had (if you want to call it a complaint) would be that the room was TINY. I mean super itty bitty. And it had florescent lights over the bed which seemed a little weird. […] The colors were an attempt to be contemporary and weren't bad, but if I was decorating a shoebox of a room like that, I would definitely go brighter. Over all, for the price, it was fine. We wanted to go to the Zydeco breakfast in town, but it was only on Saturday and no one that we asked knew, so we missed it. This hotel is on the freeway and there are no real restaurants within eyeshot of the hotel, so ask how to get to Breaux Bridge which is a few minutes down the road. Stayed at this Microtel property while in Breaux Bridge for a wedding. This is a new hotel, so the rooms I saw all had a fresh look and feel to them. The people at the front desk were very accomodating--they put our rooms next to each other even though we made separate reservations and arrived at different times. We were greeted by a smiling face everytime […] we arrived at the hotel from a wedding function. Even though the carpet looked new, the floor in our room had a couple of mysterious sticky dark stains in the carpet. My only other complaint was that there are no lamps in the rooms. Instead, there is a lightswitch by the bed that turns on a very bright overhead light. Overall, however, this property was very clean and well-managed. Lisez la suite
