J'ai séjourné pendant 12 nuits dans cet hotel, il est bien situé dans une des artères les plus actives de la ville. le hall et les couloirs sont propres. Pour ce qui est de la chambre, elle est grande, spacieuse avec une clim un peu vétuste, sale mais qui fonctionnait heureusement avec 40°C dehors, le sol était ni plus ni moins dégueulasse avec de grosses […] taches, les draps de lit tachés aussi... La salle de bain était sale, donc obligé de la nettoyer en arrivant mais quand j'ai vu les femmes de ménage à l'oeuvre je n'ai pas été étonné du manque de proprété des chambres. J'ai informé la réception sur les serviettes et les draps qui étaient sales mais çà n'a pas eu l'air de les déranger et résultat des courses la chambre n'a pas été faite (chgt des serviettes uniquement) pdt 2 jours. The hotel is clean , check in/out was very fast you have to pay internet 3 USD/hour

I booked 5 nights with my brother and we both were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. The hotel is clean, the service is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is Hamra Street which is in the heart of Beirut. It is a bit noisy in the early morning if you are near the street but other than that all is perfect.

I really liked the location of the hotel and the comfort of the room. The only thing I did not like was the one free hour of wi-fi. I would rather it have unlimited wi-fi to its guests. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Based in the heart of the student quarter, the hotel is conveniently surrounded by good bars and eateries. A 15-minute walk takes you to the coast. This place is recommended to anyone who wishes to stay at a comfortable, clean, hospitable place... it was so convenient because it was in the middle of Shari3 al Hamra (Hamra Street) which is like the best street in Lebanon that has most international brands + great food and great atmosphere. Thumbs up!!!!

The maintenance is quite bad, the showers are not that great and the room service did not the required services. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends or colleagues.

If you are looking for a hotel that is walking distance to good restaurants, Beirut 'must see' sights and the sea, then this is the place for you. A few steps outside the hotel entrance leads to a good choice of local eateries, all good value. Take a 10 minute walk and there is an even greater selection of places to dine. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room lacked coffee making facilities, but as I was out and about most of the time, this wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The mini-bar was well stocked with a good selection of items. The bed was VERY comfortable, and after a long day on my feet, it was the perfect end to a day. Overall, my stay with La Plaza was very comfortable and suited my needs. Great location, friendly staff and efficient check-in and check-out procedures. The hotel is perfect and the whole services, staff and Lebanese people as a whole are wonderful. I recommend this trip to Beirut and accommodation at Plasa hotel for any one; you will be enjoyed.

The hall ways were not air-conditioned despite the humidity inside the building. The ceiling of the room #410 had dirt smudges near the air-conditioning ventilation. The ceiling paint was cracked ! The room does not have an electronic voice mail system !

The location shown on the Hotels.com map is wrong. The hotel is right in the heart of Hamra district on the main street on the corner of Hamra St and Mahtma Ghandi St.. If you are a light sleeper don't stay here or any where else in Hamra! Not the hotels fault, just the nature of Hamra. Cars honking non stop 24 hours a day, people yelling etc. It's […] a very busy street. Luckily we had a room at the back, which is marginally quieter but the noise from the street is incredible and it never stops. The hotel itself is geared toward business travel more than tourists. It's efficent and clean but a bit sparse and tired looking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room maintenance was good but they never re-stocked the water in the mini bar which was annoying. Bed was very comfy and the shower worked really well. I didn't try the hotel breakfst (which is extra) as downstairs there is a restaurant which is accesible from the hotel although not affiliated and it's very good but a bit more expensive than most other places around. The hotel loction is good as a central point as you can walk West to the Corniche or Pigeon Rocks in about 15 mins and you can walk to the Downtown area in about 40 mins just by following Hamra all the way East Lisez la suite

I've had good time at the Plaza Hotel, the location was awesome, the room was clean, very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I didn't like was the Internet as it was either very slow or down. Other than that everything was awesome.

The hotel's location means you can walk everywhere in Hamra or servis to Gemayze and other nearby areas. The hotel staff is professional and friendly. My room was delightful with a large bed and large window, clean bathroom, etc. Just two complaints: the A/C smelled funny, so I opted to open my window instead. The window looked straight across to some […] university students' balconies, so there was a limited degree of privacy afforded. It should be noted, however, that they came in to inspect the A/C unit two days before I left, though it had not been repaired by the time I departed. The Hotel was very nice, Feasible, and the workers were very nice. The Hotel location in Al-Hamra was near to many restaurants and café’s.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days last week. Hamra is a lively neighborhood filled with friendly and pretty people, it's a great pedestrian neighborhood and you can walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, hookah bars, etc. easily from here. Shower pressure is fine, they must have corrected whatever problem the previous […] reviewer had. Internet speed in the hotel is agonizingly slow (as per the previous review, though as of this writing, internet is slow everywhere in the country), so don't buy it here. Instead, there's free wifi at Ka3kaka around the corner, where you can have a meal, shisha, or a drink too. The room was clean, the beds on par with a good European or American hotel (and we checked a couple other local options, none were as nice in this price range), and the breakfast in the hotel is delicious and easy. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions, suggestions, and booking tours. Also, I'm not usually the type of person who takes tours, I prefer to stake out on my own. But the local tour company Nakhal makes things easy, informative and inexpensive. Don't miss the Jeita Grotto, it's one of the most amazing things I've seen in my life! Lisez la suite

This hotel was a clean budget option in a great neighborhood. That said, the internet service was appalling and the showers were the worst I have ever epxerienced at a hotel. If you like hot showers with actual water pressure, this hotel might not be the one for you. If you like / need to use internet, this hotel may also not be the one for you.

Nice location for business people. Hotel was convenient for shops and restaurants.

Very nice and clean place, friendly helpful people, close tot the Corniche (and to some cool bars and restaurants) and walking distance to city centre. I would definitely recommend it!

Hamra ist ein lebhaftes Viertel in Beirut mit vielen Geschäfte, Pubs, Bars, gute Anbindung an alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, gut um Beirut kennenzulernen.

Beirut NICE city. Lebanon lots to see! PLAZA good place to stay! They are renewing the rooms! All scores OK ACCEPT shower heads!! BUT overallllll NICE central and good value for the money!
