"Venetia Palace Hotel Rome : situation pratique"
"Will stay again!"
Only 4 short city blocks directly from Rome Termini. The train station area is usually a crowded place but 4 blocks later, we are at a quiet neighborhood. This place gives you a very modern look and feel the moment you stepped into the front door. Nicely/modern designed and decorated. 2 sets of very fast elevator. Room is small but adequate. Shower […] is awesome. Pretty good selections for breakfast. Will stay again at this place. Lisez la suite
"Great location - near Termini Station & Metro"
Overall, a very good hotel. Only two blocks from train and metro and also reasonable walking distance to sights. Tip from previous traveller about turning 'right' out of train station very helpful. Friendly and helpful reception staff, clean and comfortable room, if a little small. Great new bathroom (although ours had been plastered but not painted!). […] Breakfast included and very good selection of food and delicious coffee. Obviously you are on a busy street so quite a bit of noise but with window shut, not a problem. We were also on second floor which probably helped.I would recommend this hotel to friends. Lisez la suite
"Size Matters"
Room was spacious, conveniently located, staff were friendly; highly recommend!
"Venetia Palace- nice location"
Our 4 nights at the hotel were pleasant. The room was a bit small like most rooms in Europe. The bathroom had moderestic looking fixtures that weren't very functional. The shower head looked great but only shot water straight down in very fine streams and was not adjustable. The carpets are in need of replacement. The hotel personnel were friendly […] and the free breakfast was good as was the free wifi in the rooms. For a few days they did not have a functioning ice machine in the bar so having ice in the room was a bit of a problem. We would consider staying there again. Lisez la suite
"JOKE!"
This hotel is a joke. Try 2 star not 4. Very run down, only a good location if you want the train station. Taff so rude and unhelpful. Breakfast included hah yes if you would like 1 slice peach from a can and hot orange juice. Over priced, run down, don't bother
"Decent Base"
We needed a base for a 4 Day Trip to Rome - it works very well for that but not recommended if you specifically want to enjoy the hotel Everything was clean and functional, breakfast better than expected but we only needed a place to sleep and shower as there is so much to see in this wonderful city. There is a spot to sun bathe on the roof which […] includes a hot tub but this area is very small and you may need to be lucky as i was to be there only person there! Very convenient for Roma Termini - you can walk to Colloseumn, Pantheon and Town in about 25min -Vatican took about 1 hour 15min walk although we did go a long way around. Most of hotel staff are friendly and were very helpful in printing off our on-line bookings Lisez la suite
"Venetia Palace Hotel near trains and bus lines"
The Venetia was conveniently located near the termini. This connects you to the local transportation system as well as the trains that can take you to other cities in Italy. The area near the termini is known for it's pickpockets and thieves, but we had no problems feeling comfortable.
"Venetia Palace Hotel in Rome (near Termini)"
Great hotel: good rooms, staff, and wifi. Conveniently located. Would definitely stay there again.
"Great hotel close to Termini Station"
Easy access to Termini Station (within a couple blocks) which can get you anywhere in Rome. Complementary breakfast, friendly staff, clean and modern building, and free Wifi access combined to make this an outstanding choice. Would definitely recommend!
"Venetia Palace Hotel - a distance to major sites"
The Venetia Palace Hotel was clean, the staff was helpful and breakfast was wonderful. However, unless you are comfortable traveling on the train and don't mind being in tunnels compared to walking and enjoying the sites, it is a distance from historical sites and the Vatican. In the future, we would select a location closer to everything. Additionally, […] there was no valet to help with luggage up the front steps (necessary to enter) and the shower was only accessible by ascending 3 stairs and climbing into a sunken tub, then climbing out of the tub on slippery slate tile and down the now soaked carpeted 3 stairs. "Decent Hotel at Good Price"
One of the main reasons we picked this hotel is it's location near the Termini Station. It's a 5 min. walk from the train to the hotel and when you are out and about in Rome, it's very easy to take a bus back to the station and save yourself a long walk (1euro). It's nothing fancy, and the hot tub is nothing special, but it was modern and clean and […] a good price. The breakfast was good. Lisez la suite
"Comfortable, but features were overstated"
We had a small standard room with the shower on one side of the bed and the WC on the other. Drainage issues in the shower meant a damp room carpet for half our stay. Breakfast was great, but the roof-top jaccuzzi was never warm. The bar / lounge hasn't been open in months, either. Of concern was the additional "city tax" of EURO 3 per perspon / night […] we were charged, on top of our "all inlusive" pre-paid booking fee. Lisez la suite
"Venetia Palace - Rome"
Great hotel - easy to walk anywhere in Rome and very convenient for train to airport from Termini station. Don't make the mistake we did on arriving at Termini - we followed the exit signs from the platform and ended up on the wrong side of the station - quite a hike that way. Head right when you get off the train, not down the stairs at the end of […] the platform. You need to go in to the main station and out of the main station entrance. Loved Rome - have a great time. "Nice double beds in all rooms"
I have stayed at the hotel during a number of business trips to Rome. The Hotel is 3 blocks from the Termini Train Station (Stazione Termini). This is not the best neighborhood in Rome, but it is very convenient to the train station and I feel safe with all the tourists around. I have seen 3 or 4 room styles. They are all very similar and upgraded pretty […] recently. All the rooms have 2 twins that can be made up as a double bed. The beds are firm and very comfortable. The wall mounted flat screen TV is nice even if the rooms are small. The rooms have a mini bar, safe and good free wireless internet. You need to get a new free wireless code from the TV every 3 hours. The room furniture is minimal with only a built-in counter near the bed. The showers are a bit larger than most in Rome. The shower head hangs from the ceiling and takes a bit getting use to. The AC and heating was good. The rooms a generally larger than many I have stayed at in Rome. This hotel has a small exercise room and sauna in the basement and a hot tub on the roof. The free breakfast is in the restaurant in a lower level and has a good selection of hot eggs, pastries, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff is very friendly and the front desk staff speaks very good English. I will continue to stay here as long as the prices are reasonable. Lisez la suite
"Convenient location"
Do not be deceived by the website - pictures make it look swankier than it is in reality. Having said that, hotel was fine for a short stay and although hotel is a bit further out from the centre of Rome, the location is very convenient (minutes away from central station Termini to jump on the metro or on a bus) and is in walking distance to the Colosseum […] and ancient ruins. We did have to change rooms as first room at the back of the hotel was extremely noisy and very small. New room was much better, comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast in the mornings was better than expected with a lot of choice and staff were very friendly and made us good cups of cappucinos and hot chocolate! Check-out is midday which is very convenient. Good place to stay at a relatively cheap price (with discount) but would not recommend if you want a romantic and luxurious stay. Would not regard it as a 4* hotel... Lisez la suite
"Venetia Palace-close to all including the metro"
This is my 3rd time in Athens and this is by far the best hotel. It is 5 minutes walking to the acropolis and 2 minutes to the metro station. It was also close to many good restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend

"Good place, good price"
Room was nice, breakfast was very good, price was very good, front desk people were very good, Internet was excellent and included free...overall, a very good place. Only bad thing was the shower. It was impossible to keep from flooding the bathroom floor.

"Rome Near the Train Station"
This hotel has an excellent location if you are arriving or departing by train and need a place to stay overight. Rooms are tiny w/ barelyenough space to hold three pieces of luggage and two people. Rooms are clean and most have a small balcony if you are a smoker or just need to get out of the room. Small juccuzzi on the roof was a nice touch but mostly […] this is a good location for early or late train travel. 4 blocks from the train station. "Venetia Palace Hotel"
The hotel was very nice. The only thing I did not like is the hot tub was very cold and the roof top is only open until 9:30. We usually got back to the hotel around 9 and could only go up for a half hour till they kicked us out.

"unfinished bathroom"
The bathroom looked like it was renovated but not completed. There were no tiles in the shower. Plus, while taking a shower the drain would back up and create 3-4 inches of standing bath water. The public places in the hotel looked really nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
"Great location; Corners cut during updating"
The location for this hotel couldn't have been better! After being recently remodeled, however, it looks like some corners were cut and this "four" star hotel was way closer to a three. For instance, some of the fixtures -- sink handles, shower head (from ceiling) -- were both loose from the dry wall, with some growths starting to form around the exposed […] openings. Additionally, when the shower was redone, the beautiful glass work that was added looks like it was installed with liquid nails, and was never sealed with caulking -- the liquid nails is now dark black behind the frost glass encasement of the tub area. The room itself was average for a three star hotel. Bottom line: if you're looking for a place to crash in which you'll lay your head for all of six-eight hours close to the train station, this is your hotel; if not, keep looking. Lisez la suite

"Meh - I've been to better"
With all of the hotels in Rome, I don't think I would recommend this hotel unless you needed to be near the train station. It's very convenient to the station. Overall, we thought it was just okay. The space pretends to be modern and sleek but it’s just seems cheap and plastic, like it was filled with ultra-modern toy house furniture. The summer heat […] had just kicked in during our stay and the AC was terrible. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good and the morning staff, particularly a big guy who resembled Javier Bardem, was very helpful. There is a small bar that was never open, which is a bummer when you've been out touring all day and want to have a drink back at the hotel or before dinner. The jacuzzi on the roof is teeny tiny - for two people only – so there's no other area to hang out if the tub is full. When we asked for extra pillows, we had to go pick them up at the front desk because there was only one person on duty. And he had to lock up the front desk to go get the pillows! Overall the price was good and we only stayed one night. There just seems to be something missing for this "four star" - I don't think we'd go back. Lisez la suite
"Nice hotel"
we arrived very late but were warmly welcomed. We were helped fully in every sense. The room was not exactly as good as we expected, but the service is very nice. nothing to complain.
"Venetia Palace"
We stay in a twin room for 2 nights and we were really pleased with our stay. The rooms as mentioned in other reviews are on the small side, but to be honest who cares we only went there to sleep. Lovely bath room with big shower was great. Breakfast was great with a wide range to choose from from hot food to cereals.. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. We […] were 2 ladies travelling together and we felt perfectly safe. The area around Termini is fine ( at least the side where the hotel is). It starts to look less welcoming around the other side, so we avoided it. Basically you have to use your common sense and take the same precautions you would in any big city. The only down side is that there is no security in the left luggage room at the hotel, when we went to collect our bags we were not challenged and we didn't have to prove the bags were ours - so anyone could have taken them. Other than that I would definitely stay again and would recommend it. Lisez la suite
"Venetia Palace Hotel"
my wife and i had a very comfortable, nice-sized corner room; a water leak somewhere in the hotel knocked out our electricity right after check-in, but was fixed quite quickly; very good breakfast offerings; staff were helpful and friendly enough; this was our first hotel in three weeks of travel that had free -- and reliable! -- in-room wifi; nice […] and very quiet surrounding neighborhood despite proximity to central station; very convenient location 3 blocks from Termini, another metro stop, and the 75 bus (which is perfect for the most popular ancient Rome tourist spots: the Fori, Coliseum, etc., and even Trastavere) Lisez la suite
"Venitia Palace"
Good location only minutes from the station. A good base for seeing all of the main sights. Hotel very modern and very clean. Rooms slightly on small side but had everything we needed. The hot tub on the roof was the main bonus of this hotel especially after a long day of sightseeing. We would go back to this hotel again.
"Highly recommended!"
Everything about this hotel was exactly what we needed: Great value, very conveniently located, comfortable, well-appointed rooms, and most importantly, helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again if we ever find our way back to Rome.
"Excellent Hotel in an excellent location"
This hotel is a great deal. Not too expensive and in a great location. We took the train from the airport and the hotel was within walking distance of the train station. Advice to others, stay inside the hotel and walk the the far end, inside the terminal. The sidewalk outside with bags is tricky. Close the the metro too. The staff was friendly and […] helpful, let us check in early and recommended a good restaurant for dinner. Accomodations were nice, clean and comfortable. No complaints. The neigborhood felt safe and we walked around at night with no worries. Many quaint sidewalk cafes and cart to purchase food and snacks. Great base to walk or metro to the sites. Recommend this hotel highly. Lisez la suite

This hotels offers excellent value for money. The room was excellent, staff brilliant, and facilities A1. A great location for all transport links but in a quiet street out of the way. The breakfast was far far more than expected, and the staff so helpful. Would definately stay again and recommend the hotel without reservation.

"Wow"
This hotel really exceded my expectations and was a very good deal for the $$. It is conveniently located very close to the train station and dozens of restaraunts are within walking distance. The hotel rooms are a very modern design and comfortable with all of the amenities one would need. The huge bath tub with jets was an unexpected bonus (especially […] for a Europen hotel). The bed was comfortable, and WiFi was free. Breakfast was standard European with a few additions for Americans. It was nothing to rave about but good enough to get me going. Lisez la suite
"IMPRESSED"
Location very close to the main railway station ( very short walk ) which was an important factor for us. The room was bright , clean and very modern. The breakfast was just okay but overall a good experience
"Great hotel+fantastic value"
This hotel was so central- we left the main (Termini) station by the side door, and the hotel was a 5min walk straight down the street facing us. It has been recently refurbished and is so cool!! The staff were really helpful, giving us directions to the main sights etc. and we also were given a room upgrade. The area was really nice (warnings in guide […] books seem to refer to the other side of the station) and there were lots of lovely, good value restaurants close by. Also very easy to get to the airport, as a shuttle service runs from Termini every 30 mins. We felt we got fantastic value for what we paid for this accomodation and would highly recommend it. "Wonderful"

"Outstanding"
It was in a safe wonderful location. Train station walking distance with a wonderful shopping area. Front desk was wonderful.
"Great hotel for our needs."
The Venetia Palace Hotel was reasonably priced and perfectly located in Rome to be able to walk or take public transportation to all city sites. The train station is conviently near, but there is no noise from it and the neighborhood was safe. The hotel has an attractive modern decor, was very well kept and the person at the desk was friendly and helpful. […] While our double room was small and the shower stall also small, the beds were comfortable and we had a wonderful medium-sized balcony to sit on and look out over the rooftops of Rome. The breakfast room was pleasant, the hours of availability reasonable and food choices were numerous and good. We would stay here again. Lisez la suite
