L'hotel est très bien situé pour son prix (10 minutes à pied du métro), ce qui est un avantage énorme lorsqu'on veut visiter New York sans se ruiner. Par contre, les chambres sont mal insonorisées vis à vis de l'extérieur et l'hôtel est donc à déconseiller à ceux qui ont le sommeil trop léger.

the hotel and the room were very clean, there is a parking lot if you come by car and if you are on foot you just have to take #61 bus from NY and here you are. the view right from the hotel is not really exciting: we are in a industrial area but if you walk just few yards , there are cafés and restaurants .The hotel is not very far from Brooklyn Heights […] either ( 30 minute- walk from the hotel) Lisez la suite

The hotel was within walking distance to subway. The hotel room was small,but we didn't spend anytime in there. It was clean and even had a fridge and lil microwave. I would definitely stay there again.

They have not instituted a non-smoking floor, so there's a chance your "non-smoking" room will smell like someone was smoking in there, even if they weren't. Luckily the window and a/c do clean out traces of such odors. The remodeled rooms look and feel tidier, but are small (at least the queen bed rooms). The bedding was clean, and the mattress evenly […] firm. The air conditioners in the two rooms I was in were quiet and efficient. There are now plentiful electrical outlets, and the WiFi signal was stronger, the service more reliable, and now WPA (WPA2?)-encrypted. The cleaning staff is quieter in the mornings. There is still considerable sound leakage from adjacent rooms - this should have been addressed during the renovation with extra insulation or soundboard. The toilets are excellent with good flushing power, and the shower water pressure is adequate. The bathroom vent fan doesn't clear out the fog very well. The towels, washcloths, and soaps assortment was complete. The fiberglass shower was a bit slippery at first, and no rubber non-slip mat was available. The big screen Sharp TV was slow to change channels, and the sound was locked on "mono". Local channels had some static in the picture, but the channel selection was extensive. The very basic TV remote did not allow changing aspect ratio or mono/stereo. Seasoned travelers might consider packing a compact universal remote or remote-control app. The neighborhood is industrial, without great transit connections. The lobby and clerk did not have maps available for visitors to make their way around the city, nor contact numbers for car services or bike rentals, though the usual advertising/tourism flyer rack was fairly complete. The elevator was quiet and fast. Food deliveries were allowed up to the rooms, in contrast to the neighboring Comfort Inn, which did not allow such deliveries. Lisez la suite

I made reservations online and thought for sure the room would be a mess when I arrived. Www. Wrong.com! The room was great! Cozy,comfortable, and clean! Good job guys! We will be back!

Love this place. I stay here every time I go to New York. The staff is VERY friendly. Great neighborhood. So close to Manhattan. FREE PARKING! The rooms are very nice and modern and clean. The fridge and microwave is also an added plus.

My wife and I were very dissappointed when we found a bedbug in our room. Although, maintenance personnel came very quickly and removed the insect, it was impossible to remain at the hotel after this incident. So we had to move out the very next day we checked-in.

This is not a Spa Hotel. This is not a Resort. This is not mid-town Manhattan. If you are going to Brooklyn and need a clean, inexpensive, comfortable, convenient, (free parking?) secure, place to relax and sleep, the Brooklyn Motor Inn will more than meet your needs. My son and I were there to check out a college in Brooklyn Heights and it was convenient. […] Yes the room was small but I don't need room to pace. Great fridge and microwave, it more than met my needs at a great price. Staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood, Red Hook, doesn't look like much but there are good local bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and despite the bleak warehouse look of a few streets, it is very safe. I learned upon arrival this hotel also allows 'short stays,' but you wouldn't know by looking. For the most part, the other guests were quiet and kept to themselves. Security cameras are everywhere, and I didn't see very many people walking around outside. There is a fire station and police substation nearby, so I saw a lot of public service vehicles […] and felt safe. The front desk staff was accommodating and courteous. The location is close all the major Brooklyn attractions and highways, and is easily accessible by car, train or ferry (it's directly across from Red Hook Ferry Terminal). There is a fridge and microwave in the room, and the bathroom was a good size with full tub. I was happy that they had smoking rooms available, and the free parking is a rarity anywhere in New York. The hotel is located near the ikea so the neighborhood is near warehouse buildings. However the hotel is nice and the room is clean. You feel comfortable after taking it in for a brief moment. The accommodations are nice and for the rates oppose to the other places you can't complain. You get what you pay for and if your looking for an overall clean […] place for the night here's the place. I wouldn't recommend staying here only if your a tourist or intend to site see in the immediate area. Due to it being located near ikea. Motor inn was on good spot for ppl using cars, we were there after the low prices & short subway route to Manhattan. It was really hard to find walking route to Brooklyn Motor Inn, we had to search for a bridge to cross one of the smaller highways, anyway when we got there receptionist was nice and helpful, even gave us the map for nearest subway station […] which was really handful for our plans. Bed was comfortable and TV was on date, the room itself was good. The problem we didn't like on our staying was the near highway sounds came into our room pretty clearly, when the morning rush began, lots of honking could be hear. Also the walls between didn't reduce noise so much, we could hear even normal talking sounds. On the other hand, once again it was good value for money, it was pretty much what we expected. Close to the metro which takes you directly to Manhattan. Cheap and nice area.

I just stayed a night her, and that was enough. The smell of smoke and the overall feeling made it not a fun experience.

Although the room itself was quite clean, and some of the hotel staff were quite friendly and helpful the hotel was in the middle of nowhere and in quite a dodgy neighbourhood with unsavoury types in and around the hotel. To get to anywhere decent you had to take a 10 minute bus journey to downtown brooklyn which I guess isn't too bad but I just felt […] out of it the whole time and away from everything. As a woman, alone it wasn't ideal at all. Don't let them fool you into thinking it's the heart of brooklyn as the website says! No way! I got lost once looking for the place and was pretty scared...took me so long to find the place that buy the time I did, I was late for a date and the guy had left! Wouldn't come here again if you paid me! And it's not worth the money you have to pay which I think is quite expensive for what it is! Lisez la suite

This hotel was VERY cheap compared to others. The rooms were all well-kept and clean, and had fridge, microwave, and 42" tv. Wasn't in a bad area, but you have to walk about 20 mins to nearest subway, which wasn't that bad. Definitely would recommend this to others :-)

I got a very nice room. It was small, but cozy. If you don't like small rooms, you probably shouldn't be visiting New York ever. Come to think of it, it was pretty large compared to some hotel rooms I've been in... but you know what I mean. The hotel is around 7 blocks from a subway, which is convenient enough if you're familiar with New York. The […] staff will give you a photocopied map to the subway if you need help finding it. It's practically a straight line. The neighborhood is so nice it's practically the suburbs (or as close as it gets to that this close to Manhattan). Pros: An elevator, complimentary internet, vending machines, helpful/friendly 24-hour staff, free mouthwash, a parking lot, huge flatscreen television with cable in your room. Cons? I had trouble finding the place at first (I didn't take a taxi there). The coffee vending machine wasn't working and the snack machine needed restocking. There was a huge flatscreen television in my room that I never used. If you don't have any friends or relatives to stay with in New York? Sure, I'd recommend this place. This hotel is very noisy during the week. Big trucks are going around the hotel from 6 am so bring your ear plugs. Very calm during the week-end as no traffic. A bit far to the metro station (15 to 20mn walk) but close enough to Manhattan (30mn ride on the tube to Time Square). Shops and restaurants on the same street as the metro station so 15mn walk […] minimum! Best Bagel and coffee shop of all New-York just round the corner! Will go back if I stay a week-end. This wasn't a bad experience. We read other reviews before our trip and were a little concerned, but it really was fine. The room was clean. Easy access to 278. Not real close to subway-- but not a bad walk..( however we walked around 1 am and it was a little shady). But we had no encounters, so again, it was fine. Our room and the bathroom was renovated and clean. The rooms are smaller as otherwise in USA, like European standard. And parking in the garage is free. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The location is good for sightseeing in New York. It is a 15 minutes walk to the metro station. We walk every morning and evening and we felt us always sure. I was in town for one night to see a show. Although not centrally located, the Brooklyn Motor Inn is convenient enough to Park Slope and to the subway line (about a mile away), and significantly less expensive than closer hotels. I got a smoking room, despite my online request, and was too rushed to request a change, but I'm sure they would have taken care of it if I'd asked, so I can't really hold that against them. I would just say make sure to specify a non-smoking room when you arrive to check in (not just on your reservation). The room was very small but very clean and fully-stocked. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking is very limited. There are no restaurants or anything nearby. I was picking up people from the cruise terminal and not familiar with the city or city driving, so this was a very convenient location and the price was right. We arrived early (about 11 a.m.) and asked if we could park anyway. They let us and even let us check in because our room was ready and cleaned. The staff was really friendly, they helped us with maps of the metro and the city. The room was small, but clean, we checked for bed bugs and everything was clean. Very friendly staff, allowed us to check in early, and to check out late. TV was great, lots of channels. Free phone calls anywhere in the US. Very clean room. Trendy location if you walk down Van Burnt St a few blocks.

I stayed here with my husband and 2-year-old son before taking a Cunard cruise because of the proximity to the cruise terminal, but I was extremely disappointed with what I found when I got to the room. It was listed on Hotels.com as a non-smoking hotel with non-smoking rooms (and non-smoking signs were posted all over everywhere in all the halls), […] however in both the non-smoking rooms offered to me there was an ashtray and it smelled of smoke. There was cigarette and pot smoke wafting through the halls everywhere. I know that this place was not in the best neighborhood, and that it's not advertised as being a 4 star accommodation, however Hotels.com should not be advertising this place as being non-smoking, because I would have made different arrangements ahead of time. However, if you don't have kids, and honestly could care less about smoke being everywhere, this is actually a pretty nice place to stay in, and it is ridiculously close to the Cunard cruise terminal in Brooklyn. The staff may not be the most friendly, and the neighborhood is "Redhook", which our taxi driver informed us was part of the many red-light districts in Brooklyn, if you just have to stay there one night while you wait to get on the boat, this is your place. Decent, clean, and compact room. Friendly front desk. Good room service. Mini fridge and microwave is a bonus. Not the comfiest hotel bed around but it served its purpose.

Ordinary hotel, bed are a bit hard, but no bed bugs. 10 to 15 walk to subway station and nice street with restaurants and shops. Staff helpfull, gave us maps and indications. Free parking. Noisy spot can be difficult for light sleepers.

I travel frequently and have stayed in all sorts of hotels from the very budget to the lavish. This hotel was represented as a clean, modern facility. Earlier reviews enticed me to book a room here for my boss and myself when traveling in Brooklyn. I was on a budget and was trying to avoid exorbitant costs. When we arrived, the neighborhood is blighted […] and the cleanliness and overall condition of this hotel was embarrassing. The elevators had dried spit running down the inside... the removable rugs hadn't been cleaned in years. The carpeting in the room was pulled up on the edges, extremely stained with burns and excessive wear. We wore our socks and prayed we didn't catch anything. Staff and Management where very friendly and helpful. We could park the our motorcycle right outside the reception and felt very secure. The room was clean and comfy. Um ótimo hotel, quarto pequeno mas muito confortavel com roupas de cama e toalhas de alta qualidade, diversos artigos de higiene pessoal, limpeza 100% e a localização muito boa, apenas 12 minutos da estação de metrô. Os funcionarios são muito atenciosos e prestativos, repassaram bastante informações sobre a cidade e arredores. O Brooklyn é um bairro […] muito aconchegante e no natal fica muito mais lindo. 今回このホテルについて よかったところ ・チェックインが１５時からとなていたが、朝のうちにＮＹについてしまい、荷物だけ預かってもらおうとしたら、ちょっと無理にアーリーチェックインさしてくれた。 ・部屋もそこそこ綺麗で、値段の割には快適 ・周囲の環境もそこそこよ方 悪かったところ ・地図では分かりにくいが、車がないとマンハッタンまでの距離がそこそこある（近くの橋が有料・車専用のため）地下鉄だと最低でも30minぐらいかかった。 ・部屋の壁が薄く、隣の部屋（下手するとさらにその隣まで）の様子が○分かりだった。 総じて、設備・環境はそこまでいわけではないが、従業員の方の対応が非常によく満足した宿泊ができました。

El hotel esta bien ubicado, es un vecindario seguro, caminamos de regreso al hotel a la 1 a.m. Sin ningún problema. Las habitaciones son muy limpias aunque el hotel en general es muy viejo y necesita una renovación. Deben tener en cuenta que esta a 20 minutos de la estación del subway caminando que se hacen eternos cuando regresas en la madrugada después […] de caminar todo el día en museos y por Manhattan. En conclusión: el hotel esta acorde al precio pagado, esta bien para lo que buscábamos que era únicamente un sitio para dormir, si tienen mas presupuesto busquen un hotel en Manhattan mas cerca de todo, si están cortos de presupuesto el Brooklyn Motor Inn es una buena opción. Friendly and value for money

wir waren für 8 Tage im besagten Hotel. Prinzipiell ist es weiterzuempfehlen, die Lage empfand ich jetzt aber nicht als soooo extrem gut wie sie hier geschildert wird. Sie ist ordentlich, aber keineswegs überragend, jedoch muss man natürlich immer das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis berücksichten, hier kommt das Hotel dann recht ordentlich weg. Problematisch […] ist allerding die Lage an einer offenbar nicht extrem viel, aber doch ordentlich befahrenen Straße, Verkehrslärm gehört demnach zu jeder Nacht und zu jedem Morgen. Wer also Schlafprobleme hat ist vielleicht in einem anderen Hotel besser aufgehoben, mich persönlich hat es jetzt nicht gestört. Ich würde das Hotel durchaus weiterempfehlen. Lisez la suite
