Blown away; service, room and breakfast were absolute luxury compared to any other BnB in England, within this price range. The staff made a real effort to make sure we had everything we needed, they even printed off some documents for us, without us having to ask - true hosts. "A fantastic B & B in a great location"
We were staying here for three nights for our honeymoon. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome with a cup of tea and biscuits in the lounge area, just what we needed after a long drive. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owners were keen to chat and take an interest in us and where we were going, giving us tips and advice […] about the local area. Breakfasts were very filling and nothing was too much trouble. We also asked for some champagne we had to be chilled and when we got back that evening it was given to us on ice in a silver bucket with champagne glasses and some lovely canapes that the owner had prepared. We thought this was very kind and thoughtful and really made our evening. Friendly and helpful owners, delicious breakfasts, a comfortable room, a great location close to Stow, Boughton and Bibury and a generally welcoming atmosphere. Duck going up the stairs, though! "Lovely stay in Stow-on-the-Wold"
I stayed here with two girlfriends and our room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast was great and set us up for long day of walking (and shopping!). As the property is on a main road it would be better to have a car, but we were happy to walk the 10 mins into town apart from the evening when it was too dark but we easily called a taxi […] to take us back after a fantastic meal in Stow. "South Hill Farmhouse: Quiet and Relaxing"
Easy to find, I couldn't have found a more conveniently located hotel for a function at the Unicorn Trust in Stow. My room was quiet with a very comfortable bed - so getting a good night's sleep was no problem at all. Breakfast was freshly made to order. I'd recommend the 'Lazy Eggs' for anyone tempted to have a cooked breakfast who doesn't fancy a […] heavy start to the day. This cross between an omlette and a quiche, containing ham, mushrooms and tomatoes, baked in the aga was delicious. With ample parking and friendly, helpful owners, I'd readily recommend a stay here. Stayed Saturday night at South Hill Cottage in early November. Friendly welcome, helpful in getting us oriented around Stow and a large library of maps available for those wanting to explore the area! And breakfast was excellent. Only small downside is the location. It's slightly out of Stow town centre, on the main road into the town - so not a great […] walk back after dark, along the unlit main road. "Hospitality Needs Improvement"
Although this B&B structure is very charming, its hostess was far from welcoming. We were actually chastised when arriving early, at 3pm vs. 5 pm. Plus, no attempts were made to offer parting coffee/tea when we had to leave a mere 15 minutes before the breakfast commencement hour of 8 am. I add that we gave ample notice of our early departure plans. […] The B&B is located on a very busy street, with no sidewalks or close-by crosswalks. "Comfortable and friendly"
This hotel is a comfortable and friendly B&B. The room was clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was really good. The family was very helpful and recommended a great walk for us.
