The lady of the house tried hard. The man in residence was not so interested in guests. There was no heat untill 5 or 7 o'clock. The weather had changed for the worse. The rate was economical and there was a first class hotel next door which helped for meals inn an isolated spot.

Lovely overnight stay in welcoming and warm environment. This well maintained establishment is only let down by the exterior which hides the high standards within. Short cheap taxi fares easily connect with Seaton Carew and Hartlepool stations, and drivers know where it is. Lovely sea view!

This hotel was a stop over for our main holiday in Scotland. The view from bedroom 4 was great the room was clean and the bad was comfortable and the breakfast was good. This stop was a good start to our hliday.

My partner and I stayed overnight. We was given a warm, friendly welcome on arrival. Shown where breakfast would be served and then shown to our room (number 1). Room was large, very tidy and well presented. Bathroom was also clean and tidy. The only grumbles I had was that the folder which held details about the guesthouse and local attractions, etc […] was broken, the shower head was leaky and there was a lack of electrical sockets (I had to unplug the TV to put the kettle on). The bits of the guesthouse that we saw was clean and well maintained. We had a great nights sleep - the beds are very comfortable with lovely fresh sheets and bedding. Plenty of hot water available for bath/shower. The room where breakfast was served was on the small side - but there was a selection of different cereals available. The full English breakfast was well cooked and very tasty. Again the service was polite and friendly. The guesthouse is in a great location - literally across the road from a flat, sandy empty beach!. There are plenty of restaurants along the seafront and also some large amusement arcades. The area is very clean, no graffiti, etc. Also plenty of information boards around - giving you some of the history of the area. All in all the Ocean View Guesthouse is excellent value for money, very clean and tidy. Would definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite

The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. Room 4 was lovely, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Our breakfast was delicious every morning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a nice little B&B with a wonderful coast view (room 4 is incredible!), large rooms and pleasant hosts. It's NOT a 5 star spa...it IS exactly what it claims to be, and it is an easy walk down towards the harbor shops. It's a bit further up into town, but certainly a place we will keep on our "return" list.

I asked when booking if there was a poss of late checkout, and was told that if on the next morning, the room was still not booked for that night, there was some flexibility. But on arrival, when we enquired about this, we were suddenly treated as if we were being very demanding, and inconveniencing them greatly by this request, and we were told that […] it was not possible, anyway, even though the room was not booked for the following night, as someone might call up and suddenly want the room. I would guess that it takes about 30 minutes at most to turn around a room (clean it, prepare it) that has been slept in for one night, and that anyone needing a room STRAIGHT AWAY would probably wait 30 minutes if necessary. But the hosts seemed to want to do as little as possible. The good points: - Clean, spacious room, with reasonably comfortable bed. - I booked the wrong room online by mistake (I meant to book the sea view room) and the hosts let us change after we arrived and realised our mistake. It seemed nobody else was booked into the guest house. - Cooked breakfast. - Cheap place to stay, relative to a hotel - Wifi The bad points: - Inflexibility re: check out, when they easily could have been flexible. - Radiator in the sea view room (top floor of the house) seemed to need bleeding or something, as it never got hot. So the room was chilly. - Inflexibility for breakfast time. We had to be there by 8.30am ... I'm self-employed and this was my first night off / away that I've taken in 12 months. It would have been nice to wake up at leisure and head down to breakfast by 10, but when we asked if this was possible, we were told 'no'. - Generally unaccommodating hosts - Hartlepool is very industrial, not picturesque, cheerful, or fun ... we stayed there as I had workshops to attend in Stockton, and I thought it would be nice to stay nearby, and at the seaside - Not a single option for non-caffeinated or herbal tea, not even peppermint, in the rooms or at breakfast. Sehr freundliche Inhaber, aber 3 Sterne sind natürlich lächerlich. Die Zimmer sind ok, aber doch recht dilletantisch selber renoviert sowie das gesamte B+B. Aber auf Grund des Preis-leistungs Verhältnisses ist befriedigend für die Gesamtwertung allemal gerechtfertigt.

del av bygning fra 1863 som ligger nydelig til i Hartlepool .har utsikt rett ut på havet med sandstrand . promenade ett godt stykke inn mot byen.stedet er litt slitt, men har noen kjempehyggelige verter . man får en meget god frokost. så hvist en ikke er opptatt av at alt skal være nytt så er det en helt fin plass og overnatte. ett stykke og kjøre fra […] Middlesbrough , særlig etter kl. 19 , når transportbrua slutter og gå. men ett koselig sted Lisez la suite
