Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel - Raleigh

From the moment I arrived I felt pampered and welcome by the hotel staff. Loved the location of the hotel with so many shops, restaurants and also a gym all in walking distance. I would defintely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was beautiful. Very nice people at all times. Willingness to help with anything you needed at any time. Only problem with the hotel, were the pillows. They were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Other than that, nothing but praise. Will go back next season.

I did not encounter a SINGLE employee that did not seem delighted to see me. Not the maid, maintenance staff, no one. The food at Flights was so amazingly good that we were surprised it was a hotel restaurant. We are food snobs and it was great! The main benefit of this hotel is the location. The staff was friendly throughout the weekend and the room was clean (good bed) and nice. I will definitely stay at the Renaissance during all future visits to Raleigh. My only regret is that this visit couldn't have been longer so that I could have explored more of Raleigh and checked out the lovely shops surrounding the hotel as well!

Poor staffing ratio based on demand. Breakfast buffet not worth the cost. Dirty plates. Closest ATM far walk from the hotel. Valet wasn't timely and lacked consistency. Self parking is better value and convenience. Room keys failed to work on the second day of a four night stay. Staff blamed it on cell phone deactivation (though the cards were being […] carried by two separate people). Room was cleaned even though privacy do not disturb was placed on the door. In room dining also got our order wrong on two simple cheese burgers; one with tomatoes and one without. Positives...warm apple cider and fruit infused water was a great touch. After a dreadful stay (1 night) at the Hyatt across the street, we asked Expedia to switch us to this Renaissance, which took only a few minutes on the phone and the two people we spoke with were extremely helpful. I would definately stay at this hotel again. It was walking distance to shopping, movie theatre, awesome fitness center, spas and great restaurants. It was a short cab ride to the downtown area. The hotel was very clean, offered free self parking. Easy check in experience.

We came down for a weekend to visit friends and family in the Triangle area. The hotel was pretty well-situated and is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and a movie theater. The staff was efficient and friendly, and check in was a breeze. The room was of a decent size and had nice finishes, including the closets and mini fridge. The bathroom felt quite […] high-end, with an extra jet for the shower and fancy hardware for the tub and sink. The bed was fairly comfortable and the pillows soft, though your opinion may differ. The room faced I-440 yet not once did we hear traffic. We ordered breakfast in advance (via those things you leave on your door the night before) and the ample, well-cooked, and tasty breakfast showed up exactly on time. Our only complaints would be that access to the hotel via the underground parking structure is somewhat haphazard (though the parking was free), the shower caddy was coming out of the tile in the bath/shower, and the footstool for the room's comfortable chair was dirty. If I ever have any reason to stay overnight in Raleigh again, I will absolutely stay at the Renaissance. The hotel is very new and very well appointed. It has an actual fitness club which is accessed via a walkway and is located in a very nice new retail/restaurant Main Street-ish type area.

Elegant....great service. Hotel is located in the middle of the wonderful dining and shopping area of North Hills in Raleigh. Walking distance to everything. Just park (underground) and elevator up to lobby! Will go again.

From its onset the hotel commands a wonderful presence overlooking the well appointed mall nearby. I was just in NC for the one night, I could not have picked a better hotel. Room was superb, and dispite my concern, I could not hear traffic from the nearby highway. It was obvious that this a brand new construction. We stopped in Raleigh for the night on our way to Hilton Head so we were basically looking for a comfortable room that wasn't too out of the way from our route but at the same time allowed us to enjoy some of the city for dinner and drinks. We were further from downtown then we thought but this was nice because we didn't have to worry about city traffic, […] etc. and there was PLENTY to do around the hotel, it’s basically connected to a higher end shopping strip. All hotel staff were accommodating and personable from the moment we pulled up to the hotel. The valet was quick and easy, fairly cheap ($14) and the check in was one of the quickest and nicest I ever had, very pleasant gentleman who made sure to mention he would make reservations for us which I took them up on b/c it was very convenient (dinner was a stone’s throw away at MURA, fantastic sushi, expensive but worth it!). As we walked to dinner the gentleman at the front door even made sure to arrange a taxi for later, we didn't even have to ask, they came to us and asked if we needed a taxi at all and when we were done with dinner it was waiting at the hotel for us to take us downtown for drinks (about 10 mins, easy, cheap ride). The room was clean, well decorated and comfortable however it felt a bit small, my hubby and I kept bumping into each other trying to get ready. Also the iron we used pretty much ruined two of our shirts, unsure what happened there but it left marks on our shirts, we should have complained about that b/c I am sure they would have taken care of it, but I forgot. The room temperature was nice which is always important for me, because it seems most hotel rooms tend to be hot and stuffy which is not pleasant for my allergies. The lighting in the bathroom could be better, it was hard to put on makeup in that lighting and while the TV in the mirror was an interesting concept, it seemed a bit pointless. Second time at this property with the same consistent high standards throughout the hotel. Friendly staff, clean from entrance to room, terrific location for restaurants and stores and easy to access. Pool is wonderful, our 6 year old played for hours. Will return again.

Have stayed at this hotel before. Great hotel, great location. Room was not cleaned by 4 in the afternoon! Then not very well. Valet very slow then cracked the luggage carrier on top of my car!!!! We will give this hotel another try. Hopefully just a bad weekend for the staff!!!!!!!

facilities are great - gym and big pool next door - and the staff could not be more helpful. there are reasonable cafes nearby for breakfast if you want to skip the hotel stuff. rooms are airy, spacious and well equipped. i would not stay anywhere else in raleigh, and i have stayed in a few but this was my first time here. great and strongly recommended […] ! (and i'm picky) . If you want to run, make sure you tell them the distance and the staff will help. i ran a short trail and a bit of a disappointment. make sure you bring things like swimming goggles because there is nowhere nearby that I could find that sells them Lisez la suite
