Tous les hôtels à Brooklyn"nice but promissed free parking was full."
Free covered parking is a pretty big draw for Brooklyn NY. I checked-in in the afternoon and the parking was "full" it was pretty disappointing. I was told to check back with the desk Especially when you have to park blocks away. I went to the city to visit my adult nephew who has a studio, we chatted till 1:30 am, when I drove back I had to park blocks […] away and walk through some sketchy corners with street walkers and John's. "Okay stay. Close to subway."
The hotel was okay overall. It was not extremely nice, but you shouldn't expect it to be for the price and location. It was clean and the staff were friendly. It was less than 1 block from the subway to Manhatten, but it was about a 30 minute ride. It was not as close as I would have liked, but everything closer was booked. They let us check in a few […] hours early which was very nice. My only complaint is that because we checked in early, the computer told them that we were supposed to check out a day early. So at noon the day before we were leaving a not-so-nice man was knocking at our door threatening us to come pay for another night. The front desk fixed the error, and we had to get our key re-issued. I'm just glad we were there when that happened. If we have not been in our room, I'm afraid to think of where our stuff would have been when we got back. Lisez la suite
"Kings Hotel Brooklyn New York"
The great thing about this hotel is that it was one block from the subway station. It was surrounded by day businesses and was a little difficult to spot coming down the street. It seemed to be very much a local hotel catering to families of those who live in the area. We were looking for a reasonable rate hotel for a quick 2 night stay to attend our […] daughters birthday party in Brooklyn. It was clean enough although we had a paper bath mat which seemed kind of odd to us. The remote control for the room was broken and the lamp shade near the bed had no finial which sent it flying if it was bumped. There were no hangers in the closet. The bed were just ok. There was a sheet and a bedspread, no blankets and nothing extra in the closet. The flooring both in the hotel corridor and the room was all tile. It was quite noisy when other guests entered the hotel at all hours of the night. We woke up several times as groups got off of the elevator and were talking loudly and profanely. We even had the police arrive at 5:00 am to invesitigate a domestic violence problem which was going on in the hallway at the door of the room next to ours. Everything echoed due to having no carpet to muffle sound. We talked to the desk in the morning and they assured us we would have no problems on our floor the second night and to be sure and tell them if we did. They were helpful to us whenever we talked to them during our stay. There is one elevator up and it is right next to the main desk, who's attendant could absolutely have reminded loud guests that there would be others sleeping as they came in the front door. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel to my friends or relatives. I would encourage them to pay a little more and choose another hotel. Lisez la suite
"Kings Hotel Brooklyn"
We found the hotel to be in line with the reviews we had read -- both positive and negative. The hotel is very clean, an economical way to stay in and around NYC. The neighborhood seems safe, largely moderate-income residential with some light industry (auto repair shops, etc). Not for tourists who wanna roll out of bed and into Times Sq, but we're […] not "tourists" in that sense. There are two nearby subway stations -- the 9th Ave station (D line) is about 1.5 blocks away but has fewer trains than the 36th St/4th Ave subway (R and N lines, and is a pleasant, 10 minute walk from the hotel, but up and over a good sized hill in either direction). A very pleasant 15-20 min walk to Park Slope. Walls are indeed VERY thin! But overall it was a terrific find of a hotel -- esp given that once we're in NY, we're out and about all day and really just needed a safe, clean place to sleep! I would definitely stay there again, and I would recommend it to friends. Would not recommend it to my elderly parents who might have issues with the walk to/from the further subway station. "Small and loud but affordable"
The rooms are tiny, but they are made from quite nice materials considering the price per night. As reported, it was very easy to hear people in the hallway but I just needed an affordable, clean, place to sleep near a subway station and this was just that so I'm not complaining. Very few parking stalls in a tight garage, but I got one and then took […] the trains around the city so again, no complaints from me. Lisez la suite
"Clean, no frills"
Pros: My room was very clean and in good condition. There is a metro stop a block away. The hotel has secure parking. Cons: The neighborhood is light industrial. It felt safe, but had nothing much of interest. It took a subway ride of modest length to get anywhere interesting (or even to find a decent cup of coffee). The room was a little small and […] very basic. Lisez la suite

"Location, location"
The Kind Hotel is a nice property. The place was very clean and I was even able to take advantage of the limited indoor parking which was pretty cool for the New York City area. It is in a somewhat perculiar location, but the surronding area in China Town is interesting and felt safe to me. Metro train also close by. Would definitely stay there again […] for the price. "Great place and staff"
Very new, comfortable, clean, nice staff, free parking. Limited parking/tight parking garage, location a bit isolated.
"Fabulous hotel: but best for those who have no shame."
This hotel was amazing for the price. The room was always clean with fresh sheets and towels. For being one of the most inexpensive hotels in NYC, we were afraid it would be awful, but the marble floors and beautiful wallpaper made us feel like we were actually in a luxury hotel. The only thing that I would warn hotelgoers about is that the walls are […] VERY thin. We didn't notice this ourselves the first two nights there, until on the third night we could hear the people across the hall having sex. If you don't mind other people hearing you, this is a perfect hotel, but if you're the sort to get embarrassed about things like that, it's not for you. Lisez la suite

"Great for the money"
King's Hotel might not be on the most convenient subway line. It might be in a bit of an odd neighborhood, but for the price... can't go wrong... The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking garage does only fit a handful of cars, but all in all, it was a bargain.
"HORRIBLE HOTEL"
The picture does no justice to what you get here! The location was very difficult to find, the receptionist did not even know how to get us to this location. There is nothing around the area to do or look at for that matter! No view of anything at all! The bed: This bed was hard as a rock! If you dont believe me, visit this "nightmare on 9th street!" The […] towels look as if they are old as New York City! Parking: absolutely no room for parking! The garage only holds 5 - 6 cars, so if you are not in before the other guests, you have to park on the lonely street, that is if parking is allowed....horrible! The only enticing thing about this hotel was the pictures! They are beautiful and you get what you see, but it is only that, pretty! This room is not worth the money, I shared this thought with the receptionist. I even shared this with Hotels.com. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy! Lisez la suite

"It's alright for you if you lived in the city before"
Not a bad place. If you have lived downtown before then you have no worries. The neighborhood is alright down 8th and 9th street as it is mostly an asian area. At night is not bad as the hotel is just a block away from the 9th ave station into NYC. I just find it to be in an odd place to have a hotel but for the price and that fact that its next to […] the subway was great. I picked the place as it was quite at night. It seems scary but if you've lived downtown before then you don't have much to worrie about. There is a 24 hour shop down the street for drinks and food. Oh and if you plan on driving up there they have a small garage that fits only about 5 to 6 cars so don't do that. Lisez la suite
"Great room for the money"
Granted that we had a discounted rate, this was by far the cheapest option we got compared to anywhere in Manhattan. The hotel is brand new, very clean, rooms are very comfortable, nice bathrooms. One block away from subway station, 30 minutes away from all Manhattan attractions. The immediate neighborhood is not nice and don't expect anything of it […] as far as leisure, dining or shopping; this is a place for you to sleep well and comfortably and commute to/from Manhattan. "New and clean Hotel"
We were really satisfied with our stay at the kings hotel. The room was kind of small but since we didn't spend the days in the hotel, that wasn't problem. The only thing that was kind of annoying was the noise. We could here our neighbor watching TV at night and all the other guests coming home and being loud at night. But since the hotel was very […] clean and new and the subaystation was only two blocks away, we were very satisfied and would really recommend the kings hotel. Lisez la suite
"Pretty good for price"
Very loud, walls are PAPER thin
"great quality"
the hotel is very clean, my room was spotless, and quiet. I am very satistfied and will stay there again whenever I need to.
"needs improvement"
I'm from Brooklyn, so the neighborhood did not bother me. The parking there is terrible. They have a very small parking area, therefore you have to find street parking. That is ok during the day, but at night it was another story. The room was very clean. They did give us extra pillows. I would recommend this hotel to others, and will stay there again […] at another time. it was close to where we have our gatherings. Lisez la suite
"Not worth it could not sleep"
It was a clean hotel-- but it is not as advertised, there is very limited parking and no lounge. It is a very noisy hotel with the lack of carpet in the rooms and the halls you can hear conversations and all the room doors close all night as if they were in your room, could not get any sleep. limited number of places to eat in the immediate area.
"Great hotel overall"
We found the Kings hotel to be great for it's location in Brooklyn, close to the subway, only 15 minutes from Manhatten. The service was good, especially since we extended our reservation and the manager was accomodating to our needs. The hotel itself was a gem - with indoor parking, fresh flowers in the lobby and seemingly brand new décor that varied […] in design on each floor. The room itself was simple and very comfortable - clean white linens and mahogany wood furniture. A unique treat was the availability of hot tea as well as plenty of adjustable lighting and air conditioning in our room. This will be our choice next time we return to NYC. Lisez la suite
"asian theme"
Once you get over the neighborhood, this was a decent hotel to stay in. Asian themed decor all over, including the lack of carpet in the rooms (everything is tiled). Not a whole lot of parking in the locked garage, either.
"A Jewel Conveniently Located Near Subway Line"
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this hotel at half the price of Manhattan places. Less than a year old, this hotel is very clean and basic. Although room was small, neighborhood (working class) is funky & parking is limited (though FREE!), the Kings makes it a very good spot for jumping off to see NYC's sights. Nearby […] Subway (less than block) took us right to the Front Gate of Yankee Stadium in about an hour! Already have recommended to our friends! Lisez la suite
"Great Room for the money"
The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is only a short walk to the subway so the location is not too bad. It does take over 1/2 hour to get to times square from here. The hotel is great for the price as it is clean and the a newer hotel.
"in the middle of nowhere..."
The Kings hotel is a brand new hotel (no more than three months old in july of 2009), but it is on a block with nothing else on it - just some stoneyards, garages, etc. Trying to find breakfast was an adventure! From some pictures in a window across the street, showing a suburban-ish house and driveway, there may be a plan to develop the area, but right […] now it is not near much. Also, the rooms are pretty small for a new hotel - if you are the type (like me) who likes to unpack into drawers, there aren't enough drawers to do that. Lisez la suite
"Nice and comfortable place at a great price"
It was a great place. Very comfortable and clean. Will be going back next week for 3 nights.
"beautiful building"
the building and room were beautiful. the neighborhood was horrible and the hotel has enough parking for maybe 5 cars. had to spend an additional 45 dollars to park and wouldn't dare go outside the building after dark. not a good location in Brooklyn.
"Hard Bed"
Overall, the stay was enjoyable. The staff was very accomodating and the room was nice; however, the bed was very hard. As a pregnant woman, it was not comfortable for me.
"Needs Improvement"
This Hotel is nice and the people are friendly, but the surrounding is not attractive.
"Needs Improvement"
The bathroom needed better maintenance.
"Loud Hallways"
Good clean Hotel. They just need to put carpet in the hallways so that you don't hear everything echoing in the hallway all night.
"Great for the money, beds way too hard"
We stayed at the King's hotel because it's near my sister's apartment in Brooklyn. The hotel as very clean, marble all over, floors, walls, etc. I love that they have a parking garage for that price. The only problem was the beds were so hard my wife and I couldn't sleep. We'd absolutely go back if there were softer beds. If not, I don't think we c […] an. Lisez la suite
"very noisy and very bad beds"
The hotel was OK, very clean but very noisy, in the middle of the night my husband and I were sleeping and suddenly we heard all this noice in the hall like people just comming in, eventhough we had the AC on it sound like they were inside our room it was very unconfortable...Plus the beds are so hard, it feels like you are sleeping in the bare floor. […] In the other hand the hotel was very clean, and it is a hotel that if you are going to be just for one or two days in Brooklyn is OK... Lisez la suite
"Great Service, and a little bit noisy"
The service was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I asked her how to get to the subway station, and she not only gave directions, but she also provided me with a map. The hotel is very close to the subway station; about a 5 minute walk. But think twice before planning to take the train late at night. The surrounding neighborhood […] does not seem safe (nothing happened to me nor did I see anything happen to someone else, but the condition of the neighborhood suggested that caution be used.) The hotel room was well kept; clean with plenty of towels, with the only complaint being that the noise level from the hallway. It seemed as though any noise from the hallway traveled directly into my room. I heard every door close and people talking as though they were right outside my room. I am not sensitive to noise, but the acoustics in this hotel were not great. Overall I was satisfied with the hotel. Inexpensive, close to the subway, and friendly employees. Lisez la suite
"Appropriate for the money"
It's a nice place for an overnight stay in Brooklyn. We just wanted to get to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Not much else in the neighborhood. The secured parking is pretty tight but so is the street parking. Room was small but comfortable. Got 3 channels of Chinese TV. No carpeting on the floor but the tile was shiny clean. Strange window the bathroom. […] You can pull the current down to separate glass window that looks into the bedroom. Don't know about that design.
"A good choice"
Very nice and clean hotel. Walking distance to subway and bus station. I would definetly stay here again, if I visit NY next time.
"Cheap and clean hotel with good subway connection"
This hotel is great, clean large rooms for afordable prices. just great. Take care that the D Train does it's normal service because if the subway station is not served it's difficult to go to manhatten wirh public transport. If the subway has no problem it takes about 20 min to manhatten (grand central station). Breakfast ist not included and there […] are not many restaurants around, but still a place to stay for a few days. Lisez la suite
