Hotel vieillot mais relativement propre. Personnel agréable à la disposition des clients. Emplacement idéal à promité des différentes lignes de métro , de la Vème avenue, de Times SQuare. Pensez à réclamer des serviettes de bain qui sont distribuées au nombre de brosse à dents présenté dans la salle de bain.

Hôtel agréable, petit déjeuner servit de 6h30 à 9h30 correcte (ne pas arriver trop tard), station de métro ( 39 Av ) à 3min à pieds qui vous mène en 9min à la 5ème Avenue. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée.

Très satisfaisant pour l'hôtel et ses prestations. Seul bémol : la durée des trajets en bus vers Manhattan ...

"Hôtel agréable"
On a passe un excellent séjour ... Hôtel et personnel agréables ... Le seul hic, les chambres un peu petites .
J'ai l'habitude de séjourner à NYC et pour cette gamme de prix, ce n'est pas le meilleur hôtel que j'ai fait. Je l'ai trouvé très propre et pas trop mal situé mais sans charme et ayant un peu besoin d'être rafraîchi. Bref une bonne seconde option.

Plutôt décu par cet hotel... Il arrive au personnel d'oublier de faire la chambre (et le réceptionniste vous soutient que c'est parce-que vous avez demandé à ne pas être dérangé en posant l'indication qui va bien sur la porte alors que cela est faux). Il ne faut pas vous retrouver en bas étage coté rue sinon vous vous retrouvez nez à nez avec le linge […] sale et les poubelles de l'hotel. Nous avons donc demandé à changer mais quelque soit l'étage, les chambres restent sombres. Parfois de l'ambiance (dispute de personnes qui n'avaient pas l'air très "sympathiques" dans l'hotel au moment ou nous y étions). Situation centrale mais pas forcément idéale (mais à NY il faut marcher donc à priori, cela ne pose pas de problème). Je ne recommande pas cet hotel. Lisez la suite

Pas de chichis : un hôtel simplet et bien entretenu, situé idéalement à 10 min à pieds de l'Empire State Building, dans une rue calme et peu passante (pas si fréquent à Manhattan !)

Hôtel très bien situé. Les seuls points négatifs sont les suivants : ascenseurs pas toujours rapides pour faire les allers retours des 27 étages, ce qui peut provoquer des files d'attente le matin. Chambre extrêmement petite. Attention à ne pas prendre de chambres fumeurs (ça empeste déjà dès l'ouverture des portes de l'ascenseur). "Double Tree Hilton Chelsea"
Avait réservé une chambre fumeur mais eux avait une chambre non fumeur. Pas eu de problème à avoir une chambre fumeur. Les chambres sont très petites mais le lit très confortable.

La localisation est superbe et le servoce tres bon. Le seul hic c'est que les chambre ne sont pas insonorise. Ce fut tres desagreable specialement quand il y avait des personnes dans le hall qui fesait la fete. S'il regle ce probleme, cet hotel serait superbe en tout et partout! Wew could hear every single noise from the hall. It was very anoying especially when there was 4 women in the hall laughing and talking in the hall. It was as if they were right next to us. "Good price and great location"
Recently stayed at the Double Tree-Chelsea for a girls weekend in NYC. Location was fantastic, close to 34th Avenue shopping and many subway stations providing quick access to the rest of Manhattan. Far enough off of the main streets that there was no traffic noise at night.

"A strong contender, but not spectacular."
The DoubleTree Chelsea has a good location just a few blocks from Penn Station and Times Square. For some, the neighborhood may seem a bit unkempt around the edges, but it feels very New York, so I Iiked it. The rooms were comfortable, with the standard NYC size. Being from Colorado, after I got over the sticker shock of New York City hotel prices, I realized I found a fairly good deal at this hotel. The hotel is like 3 minutes walk to megabus arrival stop, 10 minutes walk to dozens of Korean restaurants (at Korean town, I think), 10 minutes walk to Empire state building, one subway stop away from Times Square. Had a great time. Could walk to several attractions;Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Theater District, NY City Library, Empire State Building.Business Centre in Hotel most helpful, could look up restaurants and additional attractions. The hotel was in a great location; the room was fine. However, there were a number of "pending" charges that appeared on my credit card the day I checked out. They actually charge your credit card for incidentals - this shows up as a pending charge of $50 and doesn't disappear for 3-5 days. There also seemed to be double bar bills, although these, too, […] disappeared. I don't know whether it was because I called twice to question the charges or because that's the way they do things... There are no complaints I can make about this hotel, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It was clean and quiet enough. There are much cooler hotels with more character around.

I booked the Doubletree Hilton in Chelsea for a mother and daughter trip based not only on the great deal I got but also on the superb reviews. Almost every review raved about the fantastic customer service of the front desk staff. Unfortunately, this was not my experience (though it primarily came from one particular front desk individual). For 2 days […] of our visit we could not get our tv to work. This wasn't much of an issue as we were out of our room for most of the time but it is nice to see the morning news while getting ready or to watch a bit of tv before going to sleep. At the end of our second day (11pm) I asked the man at the front desk how the tv works. He gave me some remote instructions and we happily went up to our room. I tried what he told me many times and nothing happened. I then called the desk, the same man answered, and I informed him the remote did not work. He told me someone would be up to look at it. 35 minutes later, and desperately wanting to go to bed, no one had appeared so I rang the desk again. This time a different front desk person answered and he had to check with the other man I had originally spoken to. He found out that the maintenance man had been sent out on a errand and should be back in about 10 minutes. Well, another 30 minutes went by and as I was just about to phone them and tell them to forget it, when a very apologetic front desk man (now on shift and not the original character) knocked on our door and had to move furniture around to discover the hidden cords had unplugged thus resulting in our inability to turn on the tv. Our second experience with the same front desk man happened on our fourth day. We had returned, very tired, from many hours out touring only to discover our door keys did not work anymore. We went to the front desk and told him our room keys were not working. Rather than simply resetting the keys and maybe sending a maintenance man up with us, he proceeded to imply it was our fault the keys didn't work Lisez la suite

Great location. Problems with: no blanket/comforter on one bed; damp spot on carpet (due to bathroom leak?); tub drain did not work; room was not cleaned, except for emptying trash. Housekeeping responded quickly to our issues.

Everything about our stay was positive, especially the staff!! Everyone, not just the front desk people, were friendly and helpful. We will definitely try to stay here in the future.
Great location and fantastic staff but small rooms. Still, a decent value for NYC on a budget. Breakfast is WAY overpriced-- bring granola bars or visit a cafe instead.

Free internet in the business centre, clean, great rooms. Needs more elevators. 22 floors and only two lifts was a bit of a pain. Central location. We walked everywhere in Manhattan. Close to subway. Two cool deli's on opposite corners. Penn Station (Madison Square Garden) is only one block away

What great value! Considering it's a NY City hotel, the room was a reasonable size and very nicely furnished. The best thing, though, was the staff. Friendly, helpful and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We asked for more coffee and milk for the room, they gave us lots of extras, as well as more of their great Choc Chip cookies.
