Il Perseo - Florence

Très bon hotel, très bien situé en plein centre historique, à 100 mètres du Duomo de Florence, dans un quartier très vivant, commerçant et pratiquement interdit à la circulation. Nous avons réservé deux chambres qui étaient très propres et bien insonorisées. Le personnel est très sympathique et prévenant. Le petit déjeuner est sommaire mais correct […] avec quelques confitures, pains, biscottes, oeufs durs, un peu de charcuterie et de fromage, du café, du thé et 2 sortes de jus de fruits industriels, du lait et des céréales. Il n'y a pas de parking, l'hotel s'est occupé de nous en trouver un et d'y convoyer notre voiture, mais cela coute 28 euros/jour, ce qui est cher dans l'absolu, mais à cet endroit, en plein centre de Florence, il est pratiquement interdit de circuler et de se garer, donc on n'a pas vraiment le choix. Petit détail étonnant : l'hotel est au 3e étage d'un immeuble, dont l'aspect, l'entrée, l'ascenseur et l'escalier paraissent très basiques au 1er abord, mais une fois dans l'hotel, tout est très bien et parfaitement propre et entretenu, meme si dans ce centre historique tout semble petit et étroit. Great location! The hotel is just in a 100 meters from Duomo. Room is clean and of appropriate size, staff is nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Perseo. The hotel made a good first impression before we even got there by offering to make Uffizi and Accademia reservations for us. Then, on arrival, the concierge made an excellent suggestion to visit Piazza de Michelangelo to see Florence light up with the setting sun. Each of the staff members was equally accommodating, […] providing a delicious breakfast and very complete breakfast, helping research train schedules, an offering us a complimentary cafe on the afternoon of our departure, after our morning checkout. Our room was a decent size, but pretty cold until we requested more heat. The bed was mostly comfortable, although it sloped a little which caused me to readjust throughout the night. I also appreciated the fact that the staff had spaced the guests throughout the hotel, so we did not hear a sound from any other room. The location of the hotel was ideal - only minutes from Piazza del Duomo and within easy walking distance to the Accademia and Central Markets and not far from the rest of Florence. Il Perseo is a delightful hotel located perfectly for central Florence. The Duomo is a virtually on the doorstep and the local area has an abundant choice of lovely restaurants. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, rooms perfectly adequate and the overall ambience very welcoming.

Third/Fourth Floor Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Very central and relatively short distance from station. Room functional but adequate if not planning to spend a long time there - surely the whole point of visiting Florence is to be out and about. Breakfast accommodation a little cramped and may have to wait for a table when hotel busy. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel- clean, comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient central location.

My wife and I stayed here recently and the location is hard to beat, Its right where you want to be. The staff were very nice and the room was ok. My only complaint was the very bad smell in the bathroom, all the time. It was gross, no joke. We had to keep the bathroom door closed all the time and a window in the room open as well. We dealt with it […] because of the location and I didn't want the hassle of finding another hotel. Maybe its just that room and hopefully the staff gets it fixed. Very nice hotel, located 3 minutes walking from the Duomo, the shopping center and all the restaurants. The room was very specious (3 people), very clean and nicely decorated with huge windows. Good, fresh breakfast with great coffee. The hotel staff is extremely nice and helpfull. They helped us with finding a restaurant for a problematic eater, with […] directions and solving problems. I stayed here with my husband and mother. Both rooms were adequate, just adequate. The mattresses are an abomination as are the bed pillows. I have never encountered worse. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Wi-Fi is available for a charge but save your money as it is completely unreliable. Location is good. The front rooms can be a little noisy, okay […] really, really noisy. We were able to park in the hotel lot (six spaces, first come, first served) for free even though the website states charge. Breakfast is best skipped as it was pure awful. To serve a bad cup of coffee in Italy is just plain wrong. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant. Lisez la suite

A little Disappointed Laura the Hotel receptionist did not mention the Uffizi was for free on that day we intended ging before she took our money and booked us in for a tour.

This hotel is a block and half from the Duomo. The couple who owns it is delightful and friendly, as is all the staff. I stayed here last year and returned this year.

If you want to be steps away from The Duomo, this is the place! The rooms are clean, very quiet (we were not facing the street) and the staff was very helpful. We had problems getting Internet service and Diego came to the room (as a mini IT dept.) and set us up with proper cables for connection. We had a great stay at Il Perseo. 1 minute walk from the Duomo and only a few more to everything else. Room was comfortable, staff very helpful (museum reservations and restaurant recommendations etc.), Breakfast was good and the free wi-fi very useful.

Ett enkelt men mycket trevligt hotell med ett suveränt läge i Florens. Personalen mycket trevliga och servicevänliga.

Hotel liegt sehr zentral 100 Meter vom Dom, ist auch mit Navi schwer zu finden, da von Einbahnstrassen umgeben. Parken geht nirgends, Wir haben den Parkdienst, den das Hotel über eine Fremdfirma anbietet, wahrgenommen. Teuer, aber problemlos. Hotel liegt in Gebäude ab dem dritten Stock aufwärts mit Läden im EG, im ersten und zweiten Stock eine andere […] Unterkunft. Service sehr nett und hilfsbereit, Zimmer sehr schön und sauber. Hotel Perseo is a good example of hotel where customer is appreciated and taken well care, even without 5star status. Hotel is well located, rooms enough furnished and service very warm and good. This hotel is perfect for active city travellers -coming and going days on relaxed athmospiere.
