il est très bien situé, à deux pas de la vieille ville, à proximité du métro, pas très loin des coeurs de la cité ( bund, people square etc..), le personnel est commercant et disponible, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas en chine dans l'hôtellerie et ce qui mérite donc d'être souligné, des petits détails comme la chambre pas faite à 15h ou plus de papier […] de toilette peuvent être reprochés, mais il suffit d'en informer la réception pour que dans le cinq minutes tout soit réglé, le petit déjeuner buffet est de qualité et très appétissant, bref passer et une bonne nuit et bien la débuter voici ce que permet cet hôtel, n'est-ce pas ce qu'on lui demande... le WIFI gratuit n'est que dans le hall, dans les chambres il faut un cable, alors pas de ipad en dehors de la réception, mais ceci permet de descendre et de profiter de son grand hall très kitch. Cet hotel est assez bien situé proche des sites fréquentés. Nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour a une nuance prés: d'importants travaux avaient lieu dans l'hotel avec scie circulaire et compresseur des 7H30 le matin, dimanche inclus. A part cet inconvénient, rien a dire: excellent hotel

The hotel had a convenient location to the subway. But for itms price, it has to be better run and have higher level of comfort compared to the second hotel we stayed, at the SSAW Shanghai; in the same area. Staff were not incredibly friendly at the front desk. Overall it was not a relaxed stay.

Spent 10 nights there in May while visiting our daughter who lives in Shanghai. Great location, walking distance to Yuyuan garden area with lots of shopping and street food.Buffet breakfast was adequate.Staff was helpfull with directions and able to write addresses for us to give to cab drivers . Would definetely stay there again.

First, I will start off with the positive. The location is 2 blocks from a very nice tourist attraction. That is all. This is not a 4 Star Hotel not even by Chinese's rating. We booked a Superior Room for 4 nights and it was far from being superior. When we first walked in the room, it was very stuffy and had an "old" smell to it. Since the air unit wasn't helping, we opened the window but thiis wasn't much better. We were blessed with the perfect view into the windows of 7 of our neighbors. Then we enjoyed sleepless nights while listening to our neighbors conversation and music because they enjoyed keeping their window open majority of the time. This hotel is a good value. They do speak English here. It's situated on a busy street so it can get noisy. It's very close to Yu Yuan garden but a bit of a walk to the Bund. Cash deposit of 500 RMB was required when checking in and when requesting for plates and cutlery, they asked for 100 RMB deposit. We booked at this hotel needing to rest overnight for our trip back to the states. Luckily we had a half a day to spend in shanghai before departing. Our hotel stay was very brief. The roommate and bathroom were very lovely, with all the amenities that you would expect. ...including an umbrella, which we were thankful because it was raining. It's called […] paradise because of interior-balcony-esk view, which looked like a garden. It's located right next to a shopping complex with five top restaurants at good prices. Hotel seems to have two addresses. We were pleased that the front desk acknowledged our reservation with out hesitation. Fellow travellers had difficulties in obtaining second room key. Hotel breakfast is okay, but priced too high.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff (including managers) barely understands english and is most unhelpful. Huge chinese restaurant inside the hotel wich makes it a little smelly as the kitchen is in the second floor next to many rooms.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in March, 2011. Facilities of the hotel are basically OK,with some exceptions! In my room, I had problems with almost all the faucets in the bathroom! Also, I couldn't find a clock in my room. The hotel's overall service? Difinitely not good! Lots of improvements should be done. The one tissue paper box of my room […] had only 3 sheets in it! Every day, I was not sure whether they had changed the towels with clean ones . . . In the restaurant (I used it for breakfast), there were lots of empty seats but with no service(knives and forks etc), and the tables had not been cleaned. I just finished a 2 week tour of China so I wanted to just relax in Shanghai and visit some friends. Checking in and then going to my room I felt I was in a lavishly luxurious hotel although I was well aware it was just a 4* hotel. The internet was free as compared to a pricier hotel I was staying at in Beijing. I make good use of the front desk help […] because I'll usually have a destination written in Pinyin but need it written out in Chinese characters and there was someone always able to do this for me. It was cold and snowing in Shanghai and there was heat in the room that was somewhat adjustable. I rather be too warm than too cold. Step outside and the Yun Garden tourist area were within close walking distance. I prefered the local residential scene as it was much more interesting.
