"Family Girls Night"
My adult daughters and I met at this hotel to have a yearly girls night. The staff was very nice but the reservation was still wrong after 3 attempts to correct. The halls had a very strong smell of smoke but the room smelled fresh. We were told to help ourselves to breakfast the next day. We awoke late (10 AM) and found breakfast was nowhere to be […] found. The hotel is next to the interstate but we heard no trucks during the night. None of us are from the Blue Springs area but found we were very near movie theaters, many places to eat and shop. no exhaust fan in the bathroom had to change rooms as smoke from roon upstairs was coming into our room from bathroon heat vent breakfast bar was not well maintained

"Very nice hotel and good price"
The breakfast was really good and the hotel was super clean and very nice. The only bad thing were the pillows, they were super small and just 3 per bed, would prefer 4 per bed. But otherwise good price. I saw a little dog in the elevator and as a dog owner that was nice to see a hotel being pet friendly.

"Clean reasonably priced"
We stayed while attending a Chiefs game. It's clean and reasonably priced and only about 6 miles from the stadium. 2nd year we have stayed here and we will return

Our few complaints were that the bathroom lighting was inadequate and the laundry room soap dispenser was out of service. Also it would have been nice to have a chair in the room. Otherwise it was a nice place. Very helpful and friendy staff.
"La Quinta Blue Springs - like a brand new facility"
Very clean and well run. Good breakfast provided. I was very impressed with what we saw and experienced across the board.

"Over all ok but few minor things"
We stayed 1 night. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and our room was good. We did end up with a room on the end of the building and the highway noise was rather loud in our room. At times it made it difficult to sleep with big trucks going by. In our room we could also hear dogs barking that were staying in other rooms at the hotel. The breakfast […] was not so good. Nothing was made fresh, all the food was processed food that has been warmed up. Some of the food items were not ever restocked so those eating later could have them. "Perfect Location"
We wanted to see KC Royals-NY Yankees games and looked for a spot outside of KC but close. Blue Springs was about 10 miles from the stadium and looked nice inside and out.

We recently stayed at La Quinta on our way to and from Denver and Indiana. We have always have good experiences at La Quinta so were very surprised to have such an unpleasant one. I'm not even sure where to start. The hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Every time we asked for something, they forgot and we had to remind them. When we finally got […] an extra blanket we asked for, it was an empty duvet cover...not what we were looking for. The room was decorated nicely but upon close observation was actually very run-down, unkempt, and in poor condition. There were many bugs, including a few roaches. When we arrived in our room the heat was blasting. It took quite a while to cool things down. The walls were paper thin, we could hear everything - including yelling and barking. The website said they had both and indoor and outdoor pool but they only had a small outdoor pool which was frigid. It was a nicer temperature when we returned the following week. The alarm clocks and phones did not work correctly. Do not order pizza from the place advertised in the room - Mintzy's. It was the worst pizza I have ever had and quite pricey. We will never stay here again and probably not in that part of town either. We will do more research before booking a La Quinta again. Lisez la suite

the stay at la quinta was wonderful. the sevice was great! rooms were clean,priced right. the staff very helpful and extremly nice.
Only complaint is no active vent fan in bathroom otherwise great room

We have a 118 pound rottweiler that we were traveling across country with during a relocation. Room was great and was on main floor to make it easier on us.

Really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta. Very friendly staff and fantastic breakfast each morning! The kids enjoyed the waffles every morning of our stay. We had 3 adults and 2 young children in 1 room and it was just fine. The little fridge was perfect for the kids snacks. Only issue was nothing on their end but the beds were quite hard. "LaQuinta in Blue Springs, Mo is clean and comfort"
We spent one night and were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. It was obvious that this is a remodeled hotel. Staff is very friendly. The elevator, hallways, and stairwells smell old and smoky. It is fairly close to the Independence Center, but nothing of interrest near. Not much of a view, except for I70.

Everything else about the hotel was great - staff, cleanliness, convenience - even the breakfast was great - HOWEVER, one very important thing for me when choosing a hotel was WiFi, and this hotel had it... but... they didn't. "Great place to stay"
We enjoyed our stay here. Right off the freeway, the room was nicer than I was expecting, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was decent. Best of all - breakfast was EXCELLENT. (For a free continental breakfast, I mean. Very nice.) My only complaint was the faint smell of smoke in the hallways and just a little bit in the room. "very helpful staff"
thestaff was very helpful and friendly. We had hoped to get a smoking room but none were to had so the person at the forunt desk put us in a room close to the exit so going outside would be easier for us a big thank you to them for doing this. As anyone knows there are not many to make it easier for smokers these days.

Just a tad disappointed in the room smell. They said it was non-smoking, but it smelled like it used to be a smoking room. Wasn't real bad, but you could tell. Otherwise, everything else was great. Loved the breakfast!

The hotel was very nice and quiet. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.It was located in an area I felt safe in.The only problem I had as I am getting older was the bathroom. The tub/shower did not have a shelf for shampoo/bar soap etc. I had to keep bending over to get them. I was really surprised to see that the furniture looked brand new and modern. We had a flat screen TV and the room was clean. We had our 2 dogs with us and it was a great stay.

"Superb room"
Room was very clean and comfy. We attended a wedding in Blue Springs.. Another couple we knew stayed in a different hotel ended up paying more than we did and their hotel was not as nice as la quinta . Will stay again.

All the staff members were helpful and friendly. They even called my room a few minutes after check-in just to make sure I was comfortable. Very convenient to the Interstate. Breakfast was uber-yummy!!

It always strikes me when I read reviews of hotels that people will choose the cheapest one in the area, and then complain about the location or quality. This was the cheapest hotel (besides the non-name brands that run along the Interstate), and for the price, it was great. It was clean, quiet, and the breakfast was actually more than we expected. […] Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, bagels, donuts, cereal, milk, coffee, juice... In the dining room one morning I heard a woman say (with a tone of disgust), "They serve the same thing every day?" Too funny. I wanted to say "Buck up lady, and go where you are happy." They allowed my dog, no questions asked or added fee (which is why I stayed there), and I made sure she behaved. I noticed other dogs, but didn't see or have any issues. The bathroom was small... that's the only negative that comes to mind. And there wasn't any marble flooring or valet parking. :) Lisez la suite
