I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a great location at just a short stroll to South Bank and the Casino. Also close to the tram line for easy access around the city. The staff were very friendly and so helpful with any queries we had. Our flight on the last day was late in the evening and the receptionist offered a complimentary late check out […] without us even asking so we could enjoy the hotel for the last day. The boys on concierge were great to recommend things for us to do during our stay. I am already recommending this hotel to my friends and colleagues in work and will be back for another visit! We had a great stay at this hotel. It was conveniently located to all major attractions downtown and if you like walking like we do, there were jogging paths as well as walking paths that go on for miles. The hotel's executive lounge is great, brilliant food, staff view etc. Rooms on high floors have spectacular views, I stayed just for the views. Service is good . Formal restaurant is not great. Location is a bit far out from town but good for walks along the river. Recommended

Very comfy room, nice breakfast. Valet parking bit pricey. Enjoyed our stay and would book again.

This hotel is one of my favorite in Melbourne if you don't mind a little bit walking you could forget about your car and walk everywhere and beds are just like at home.

great modern hotel, rooms are comfortable and clean with all facilitiies you need for a good stay. A short walk to some of the best restaurants, & sights of Melbourne and some great shopping staff are very pleasent, helpful and professional

The following services not provided - all world class hotels these services are standard - no morning paper no bed turn down with room tidy up - no chocolates room service left over not cleared unless requested in guide to hotel only mention of breakfast was "brekfast to go" - poor description of eating facilities

We have stayed at The Hilton South Wharf several times since it opened, and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the hotel and the level of service. The beds are the most comfortable I have slept on and the quiet and darkness of the room is unrivaled by any other Melbourne Hotel I have stayed in. Hilton Melbourne South Wharf was great place to enjoy melbourne which is very clean and comfort. the staffs are amazingly kind. however the food was not that great compared to other hiltons that i stayed over the world(perth, paris, usa..), and its location was a bit far from downtown. if you want the hotel which has close access to the downtown, others […] would be better(especially, grand hyatt which i stayed when i was melbourne as well as hilton). from the moment we arrived the stay was perfect awesome views over river and city skyline helpful staff easy checkout and a really great buffet breakfast probably the best hotel i have stayed in anywhere

Our room was very comfortable, it had a large window that looked over the Yarra River, the view was quite breathtaking, and at night the city came alive, itlooked magical as we sat staring out the window siping our champagne...

This was a recently built Hilton in South Wharf and I really enjoyed my stay there for about a week. Very modern, clean, and very friendly staffs...Some people may prefer hotels in city center, but I preferred here. Very close to nice restaurants on South bank and even to city centers, I could walk (or hop on the tram). Executive lounge was very spacious […] and everything necessary was well equipped. Beautiful Hotel, great service, excellent location. 10 min walk to crown and DFO shopping next door.

we liked everything except the bedding. the beds looked beautiful but were not very comfortable. the sagging down the centre was a problem as was the the duna. we found we were waking up too hot. an option for sheet and blanket would be great.

The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel and room were clean and new. The only issue was that we were checked into a room with disabled bathroom facilities, no huge issue, however it would've been nice to have been told at check in.

Lovely hotel, but we were given a room kitted out for people with disabilities. No bath, rails ++ and very low mirrors. Bed was great, but quite disappointed with the room.

Sensational- service, Sensational Views, Sensational Room, Sensational Food, Sensational Price, Sensational position. I have found my new Melbourne hotel! The staff could not have been nicer, more professional or have I said sensational yet?!!! Thanks so much to all the staff- we are definately coming back to stay again! Lovely hotel; have stayed there before and will stay there again. We also asked for an upgrade and got one so had a view of the city. At night it was spectacular! Great location away from the city centre but close enough to walk everywhere. Fantastic buffet breakfast too.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were given a choice of views, the room was amazing,large comfortable bed with lots of pillows, the bathroom was big and had a great shower with excellent water pressure- room was quiet - Breakfast was the best, will stay again when next in Melbourne

The Hilton South Wharf is beautifully decorated, but some of the layout seems to be looking more for decor than function. For example, in our bedroom the bathroom was entered through a sliding glass door directly from the bedroom (not the bedroom hallway) and anyone who opens that door in the middle of the night is going to shine a bright light directly […] on the face of anyone sleeping in the bed. Also, it was nice to have the security provided by having the elevator only access YOUR floor (using your key card) but during a four day stay we had to have our keys replaced four separate times because they were not functioning. Hotel is new and cosy. Service excellent. Location ok - 25 minute walk from downtown. Rich breakfast (included). Very little stores or action around.

This hotel is new and is in magnificent condition. The breakfast buffet and service was amazing! The rooms are very clean and fresh and the bathroom was lovely. I found the location next to the exhibition ctr to be a bit off of the city center, but an easy walk to the city tram and railcar. I got a 2 nights for the price of one rate. At that rate the hotel is an absolute bargain. Room was luxurious with sumptuous bedding, decent sized work area, tasteful and very spacious bathroom area, and an absolutely fantastic view over the Yarra river and downtown Melbourne. I was the first to stay in my room - all brand new and finished to the highest quality. The thing that was really special was the picture window with views up the Yarra River. I was attending a Geomorphology convention at the exhibition centre which is adjoined so was excellent in the convenience stakes. Great hotel, extreemly nice interior. Super quality, great restaurants room, good gym and in close walking distance (2 min) to the exhibition centre, and close to the nice Restaurants along the river.
