"Great experience!"
I booked this hotel due to hip replacement surgery the next morning at the Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre. The hotel was perfect...the room was tiny to navigate on my crutches, but it didn't matter. The walk in shower was a bonus....less than a minute's walk to the hospital.
"Wellesley Manor Toronto"
The hotel was cute and had a very convenient location. However, our room was very small--we really had nowhere convenient to keep our suitcases, so we were constantly having to step over them. As well, it would really be nice if the hotel could arrange some type of guest parking for those who travel to Toronto with a car. This is pretty standard practice […] for Torontonian hotels, and there is a parking lot practically right beside the hotel. Even a reduced rate arranged for hotel guests would have been preferable to the full $19/day. Lisez la suite
"Wellesley Boutique Hotel -- small/ noisy"
The hotel is clean, newly renovated, and across the street from a subway station. Those are the positives. The downside is the two bedroom suite we booked had NO common area -- a tiny airplane sized washroom separated the two bedrooms. The other big problem was the noisy neighbourhood -- making it VERY difficult to sleep. The walls -- interior and exterior […] -- seem to be paper thin. Even for the modest price -- NOT RECOMMENDED. "Great Little Hotel"
Good location, comfort and price
"undecided"
The pros: immaculate. clean. gorgeous little place. great localtion-not far from the mall (6 blocks?), and 50? meters from subway. great price. Mattress--omg comfy. shower was awesome. bathroom spotless. hardwood floors. The cons: no real hotel service. tough to check in--have to call and ring doorbell to get in front door---clerk went to lunch so […] I had to walk around the block for 30+ mins. Parking cost $38 for 24 hr. period. Only furniture in the room was a single antique chair for decoration. no real restaurants close by. bar next door w food and tons of bars/fast/asian food. not sure if I'd stay here again. i missed the space and convenience of a real hotel. "Clean, convenient location, no front desk"
Hotel was very clean. My room was small, but perfectly fine for a one person stay. There is no front desk so I did have the difficulty of having to call a number posted on the front door to get a combo to a key lock outside the hotel to get my key in order to enter the building/room. If you are coming from outside Canada make sure you have a phone that […] works in Canada to place the call. I had to ask someone on the street if I could use their cell phone. Hotel is also conveniently located right in downtown Toronto. 30 min walk to CN Tower, 20 min to Chinatown, 30 min to St. Lawrence Market, 10 min to Bloor Subway station. I would stay there again. "Worst hotel I've ever been in"
No front desk, no management available after 8 p.m., no lounge, no way to be rescued from obnoxious neighbours playing hard rock full blast on their radio till 1 a.m. and then resuming at 5:30 a.m., talking loudly in the hall and in their room; and final bonus: bedbugs. Anything else you want to know? Great location.

"Small room in basement, too expensive"
I booked the room and had no high hopes. Despite this I was very disappointed when I opened the door, the room ( better to cal this a cupboard ) is in the basement with only a small window in the far corner. I travel 40% of my time and stayed in many hotel over the years. This is by far the smallest room ever and heavily overpriced. I would not recommend […] this place and if you decide to book anyway just make sure you do not end up in the basement. Lisez la suite

"This was a terrible place, very tiny rooms.)"
I am handicapped and there where about 8 steps to get into the building and no elevator. We were on the second floor and we were told they could move us to the first floor for the second night. We said no thank you we would only stay one night. This place doesn't even have av ice machine.

"Good location but small and nobody to help"
It is in a great location being right across the road from Wellesley subway station. Access to the hotel could only be gained by buzzing the intercom (which nobody responded to). I had to phone the hotel from outside using my cell phone which after a long flight was annoying. I was shown to my Bronze single room on the basement level which was quite […] small (picture looked slightly bigger than the room) but expected for a boutique hotel and it was reasonably priced considering the location. The room was quite cool considering I visited during a heat wave. Be aware that a basement room will mean you get noise and small vibrations from Wellesley subway station but I got used to it quickly and it didn't bother me. I didn’t use the air conditioning much, but it worked fine like everything else. The shower was big and powerful enough, and the room was fine as a base camp. There wasn’t much of a presence from the hotel staff (the office was outside at the back of the house and it wasn’t clear if anyone was in). The inaccessibility of the staff when I needed something was disappointing (checking out took longer than it should as I had to phone the office to make sure someone was present to collect my key card). If you have few demands and want a no-frills place to sleep and shower with good transport links and you have little luggage, this choice is alright. Lisez la suite
"Wellesley Manor - Location is best feature"
Arrived late from Ottawa on my way back home to Sydney with an early departure the next day and the staff stayed back to make sure I was greeted and settled in, which was really appreciated. The room itself was a little disappointing in terms of cleanliness. Not dirty, just a bit of cutting corners going on. The room was also buried in the basement, […] despite booking a few months in advance, which was odd, but I wasn't too concerned. It had all the amenities, great high speed internet. The location was really the best feature, right in the heart of things. If you're not too fussy and are just staying for a few nights and want to be close to Church-Wellesley it still worthwhile going with place. Lisez la suite
"pleasantly suprised"
we do an overnite every year for pride, and have stayed at various establishments in and around the village. admitidly we have stayed at "chain hotels" so we took a leap of faith on this one. we didnt know what to expect as the reviews were mixed. yes you have to be buzzed in the first time,as it is a family run business. once you recieve your key, this […] is a non issue. there are too many pluses to name, but among the few,the receptionist took us to the room and demonstrated how the a/c and sattelite channels work,he was having problems with the remote, and quickly had it replaced within 10min,despite our insistence that we wouldnt be using the tv. the room was immaculate, and suprisingly noise free, even though there is a bar right next door. and finally, to say that they were generous with our "late checkout" would be an understatement. With a beautiful smoking patio in the back, the most comforting of all would be the sense of family run, right in the middle of the "village" and of course stating the obvious is the location, there is no way you can do better. this is definitly our "pride hotel" from this year onward. the only drawback would be of course the cost, which is jacked at almost double the regular price for pride week, it is at about the same as the area chains. I would gladly give my money to this local establishment.... hope this was helpful in making your decision. ps.they held our bags, till well after 10pm even though we had checked out,and gladly opened the doors to our endless bathroom breaks... good job guys, we will definitly become regulars... "Service inconvenient"
Location is good, but there is nobody at the front desk most of the time, so you have to give them a call every time you needed something. That was not convenient. No breakfast, rooms are small.
"Decent boutique hotel"
Our room was on the ground floor (there is a basement and a second floor) and was surprisingly quiet, considering it is next to a bar with an outdoor patio. It seems like the rooms are hit or miss and we got lucky. Good air conditioning. Lacks wi-fi. Hotel manager was awkward in conversation but allowed us to check in a couple hours early. Hotel is […] close to the Univ of Toronto and the gay village. Very convenient parking (public lot nearby) and Wellesley subway stop. Great price for the area. Lisez la suite

"Recommended"
Found it cosy, convenient and staff very friendly. Highly recommended at a low price
Hotel is centrally located, but has the feel of a place that is a bit run down. No one was available to let guests in around 6pm (had to call a phone number to get anyone to show up), and the registration process was a bit of an exercise, including a waiver form that guests had to sign saying they would not hold the hotel responsible for any thefts […] or injury (???). The room was small and did not have a desk. Lisez la suite
"Wellesley "Wait" Manor"
When I got to the hotel they were not at the hotel desk. I had to give them a call and wait in my car 15 minutes. They do not have people at the front desk during your stay and if you have an issue, you have to call them on a cell phone. The cleanliness of the room is fine, though the rooms are small. For the price, not a bad deal.
"Wellesley Manor Boutique Hotel at Toronto"
Quite nice hotel with about all the services I needed. The hotel looks quite small from outside, but the single room was adequately equipped with air conditioning, tv, fridge, internet, shower and such. The location is nice, next to the busy main street (Yonge). There was also a subway station right outside the front door. There is a bar right next […] to this hotel which was nice, but the noice coming from that bar could be annoying if you want to keep your window open. The biggest flaw on my room was the loud noice coming from neighbour when they filled up their bath tub. Other than that no noice from neighbours could be heard. All in all, the price to quality ratio was quite nice. I could be spending more nights in this hotel when/if visiting at Toronto. Lisez la suite
"very Cheap, but..."
Hotel fee is very cheap. And it is situated near the welsely station. But service quality is poor. In particular, it is so difficult to watch TV.
