Nous sommes arrivés tard et nous avons été très bien accueillis. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et très bien équipée. Vous pouvez demander de la vaisselle à la réception. Le petit-déjeuner est complet et varié. On a même eu le droit à la navette gratuite pour nous rendre à l'agence de location à côté de l'aéroport..... Great !! C'est vrai que le coin n'est pas top, mais il y deux trois endroits pour se restaurer à proximité et nous n'avons pas rencontré de problème particulier. Je recommande cet hôtel

Très bonne impression sur l'hôtel en général. Cependant, pensez à demander une chambre ne donnant pas côté rue: Washington bld reste bruyant 1 partie de la nuit. Sinon rien à dire.

Cet hôtel est très pratique pour visiter Venice et Santa Monica. Le personnel est serviable, nous avons même eu la chance d'être placé dans une mini suite. La chambre était donc grande et confortable, elle était très propre. Seul bémol, l'insonorisation par rapport au boulevard à côté est un peu juste, on entend les voitures toute la nuit.
Situation
Proche de la plage, dans le quartier de Beach Cities à Rancho Palos Verdes, l'établissement Terranea Resort - Destination Hotels & Resorts se trouve tout près de Marineland. Redondo Beach Pier compte également parmi les sites touristiques de la région.

La vie est un été sans fin dans les villes avec plages (Beach Cities) de Los Angeles. La ville de Redondo Beach sera toujours associée au surf. "amazing proprty"
This place was amazing. We will go back. You do pay for it though! The food was phenonminal, the view to die for, service was amazing...but you pay for it all. I was not so pleased with the extra charge for the parking and resort fee- totaled $55.00 per night. Also, 2 glasses of ok champagne to watch the sunset with - $30.00- before tip! We stayed at the Terranea this past weekend. The rooms were very nicely done. The bathroom and tub/shower/toilet layout were very classy. The decor was tasteful. It was very clean, and the maid service superb. The restaurants (there are plenty of them from casual to upscale) were all very nice. Food was very good. Food service was excellent. Valet staff […] knew our names the 2nd time we dropped our car off, and provided quick, polite service, even during the extremely busy times of the day. The layout of the hotel very spacious. very elegant entry way, and back patio/surrounding cocktail lounge and furnishings 1st class. The only thing difficult to say about our stay is the hotel is not easy to get to if you plan on going anywhere. We went to an Angels game, USC football game and golfed Trump National. Although all activities were exciting and well worth it, getting to any oither place was a bit of a challenge. Thank God for in car navigation systems! "Terranea Resort"
The room is rather dirty for a 5 star hotel. Over rated and over priced for what it is. We went there because of the waterslide, but they have strict rules -1 person at a time and must be able to swim - they won't let you catch your child at the bottom of the slide. Don't think I'm going back.
Absolutely opulant - only complaint is the difficulty in getting to the hotel and the kids screaming at 7am. It is a resort that has great facilities for children and families but I was there for business.

"The Terranea- Simply "The Best""
I took a 12-day anniversary vacation with my wife from August 3-14, 2011 and we drove the Pacific Coast Highway from Seattle to San Diego. Since our actual anniversary was August 11th, I wanted an upscale hotel for the notes of the 10th and 11th. I chose the Terranea because it looked like a great location and top shelf hotel. I could not have made […] a better choice than The Terranea. The staff is amazing, the property is in fabulous condition and the location is simply spectacular. I splurged for an oceanview suite, and I was hoping that "oceanview" wouldn't mean that we could see the ocean if we stood on a chair and leaned over our terrace! Well that was not the case. We had an incredible view of the ocean - from two terraces! The restaurants were top shelf but not that pricey, they have a family pool and an adults only pool. The adults only pool has an awesome view of the ocean. This may sound goofy, but it speaks to how amazing our room was - there were two bathrooms, a "guest" bathroom off the living area and then a master bathroom off the bedtroom. The master bathroom has a double door entry - it was huge! This hotel was first class all the way and by far, the best hotel we stayed at in our 12-day trip down the coast. Lisez la suite

The beauty of this hotel and it's surroundings were way beyond our expectations. You could travel all of California and with the exception of the natural beauty of Yosemite and the Eastern Sierra, never see anything as beautiful. Excellent resort with beautiful surroundings. The negative was the extra daily charges for parking. $25-$30.00 PER DAY!!!!!! And the extra room charge $25.00 PER DAY!!!!!!!!!!! Also, the spa treatment service for $198.00 was unsatisfactory. Way to overpriced. Everything else, was a wonderful experience.

Our family had a great visit at the resort. The property is so beautiful. Our rooms were upgraded to ocean view. We booked adjoining rooms - which are just incredible with a separate exterior door for added privacy. Our kids loved their room as well. We saw dolphins and whales right from our rooms. This hotel was everything it claimed to be and more. The grounds were beautifully kept. The views of the ocean were magnificent. The rooms were luxurious, clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. Unfortunately, did not get to golf as the course was closed for maintenance, as was the private beach area. However, there was still plenty to […] do and see. "Perfect Getaway"
Had a great weekend here! Perfect for families with kids as well as couples. Excellent service and friendly staff. Loved the walking trails along the rocky coast. Kids loved the pool area - sand and water slide as well. I would definitely come back!

Loved every thing about this resort. Beautiful setting along the ocean bluffs in Palos Verdes, CA. Very comfortable rooms. Restaurants with views of the ocean. Numerous, well maintained hiking trails. Three lovely pools. Golf on-site and nearby. Great place for a romantic get-away, wedding or meeting. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

Honestly, I did not know that California had beaches like this! It was like we were in Hawaii, but only 30 minutes outside of LA! The hotel was gorgeous - the rooms, the grounds, the amenities. We did not want to leave. Watching the sunset from our balcony each night was spectacular. Cannot wait to go back!

Our experience was amazing. The view is breathtaking. Wonderful for families or non-families. The resort has perfect adult only spots if you need to get away or fantastic areas to be with the kids. Our room was perfect -- oceanside room with the view of the ocean and cliffs.

If you want to escape reality and go to the most peaceful place in the U.S., book Terranea. Fly into LAX and cab to Terranea (40 mins). This was our first time to Cali. We stayed in Santa Monica, Long Beach, San Diego and Terranea. Terranea is the only place we will be visiting next time. No rental car because there's no need to leave. Beautiful views, […] kid and adult pools, great food and perfect service. We were so spoiled at Terranea that we didn't want to stay at our other hotels, but we couldn't cancel. "who's the target audience"
On a summer weekend you expect a resort of this kind to cater to families so we were happy to see the adult pool..but they meant PARTY POOL a la Las Vegas with blasting electronica music. The choice was other people's kids screaming and splashing or a rave. Neither appealed so since I had a spa treatment scheduled we hoped to stay at the spa pool (zen […] peace) but they wanted to charge my husband $40 to hang with me there. He was irritated at this since we spent about $500 at the spa over the weekend. Terranea seems to be trying to please everyone and reaching to find their audience. We would like to return as it's very convenient for an easy summer weekend away but they don't seem to be offering an oasis for people like us who work hard and want a close to home but away from home experience. If you tout an adult pool then create one where all adults (over 35) can be comfortable. On the plus side: the property is beautiful with spectacular views, there were many dolphin sitings, a whale spout, lovely walking paths, an excellent spa with good practitioners and several good choices for eating, especially Mar'sel. The rooms were nice but nothing special. I think we would go back but not at the height of summer. There were VERY young children in the jaccuzi and the scene was pretty chaotic. Lisez la suite
"Terranea Resort - 5 Star close to home"
We live only 15 miinutes from Terranea but decided on this luxury resort for a special birthday weekend getaway with the kids. The hotel.com rate was excellent, we wouldn't even consider staying there at their normal published rates. It surpassed all our expectations, would definitely return if the price is right!

The resort is simply spectacular and I cannot wait to come back again. I have traveled extensively for business and can appreciate a hotel and staff that is as perfect as Terranea. You are overcome by the beauty of the hotel upon arrival but the more you explore and experience the grounds / pools / restaurants you will continue to have your expectations […] blown away. The room was understated and lovely...the fact that we could hear the waves crashing so clearly made it magical. The service was a 10 at every step from when we arrived to check out. We had the seafood buffet dinner on Friday and honestly did not expect too much considering it was a buffet but it truly was one of the most perfect meals I've had; from the oysters, clams, the soups and of course the desserts that my wife is still talking about. New and luxorious. The service was exemplary! The panoramic view of Catalina and a migrating whale was a big plus. We splurged with a Villa. This is a new favorite place.

I've stayed at many of the finer establishments around the globe, and Terranea ranks up there as one of the better ones. First class service. Very attentive staff. Everyone was very friendly. Rooms were very nicely appointed and comfortable. Food was excellent (except the raw Tuna at The Grill). Multiple dining choices were all excellent.

"Sorry, Last Time"
My first surprise was when we arrived at our room "Ocean View" means 1/4 ocean 3/4 land view. It is misnamed. It should be called "Partial Ocean View". The room itself was very nice with a large bathroom and comfortable room. After arrival we went straight to lunch only to find the only place open besides the small Sports Bar was Nelson's...a very crowded […] place on Sunday afternoon. We were told the wait would be 50 minutes. So we luckily found a table in the bar. Our server was nice but it took 45 minutes from the time we sat until our appetizer arrived and 1 hour before our lunch arrived. For dinner I had reserved in advance when I made my hotel reservation Catalina Kitchen...since it was Valentines Day they said the first opening was 9 pm and Marse'l was fully booked with a waiting list. Not to my surprise at this point we found Catalina Kitchen was only half full when we arrived. The hostess wanted to sit us at a table for four next to other tables that were in use. We had to ask to use one of the other tables more designed for couples. And yet again after ordering it took 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive and 50 minutes for our dinners to arrive. My Rib Eye was thin and still undercooked. The Busboy seemed to be the only person actually interested in being there. I'm easy to please and have traveled to many resorts...just two weeks ago we had an excellent lunch at Montage in Laguna Beach.
