Hotel Stay Mont Royal - Montréal

La reception et l' hotel ont ete tres biens. Une sorte d'auberge de jeunesse en chambres individuelles de bonne qualite. Le petit dej est inclus et tres sympa, des gateaux, thes et cafes, ainsi que des fruits.

Bon établissement, très bien situé, propre et bien décoré. Les deux seuls bémols : l'absence de clim' en été et le bruit de la circulation, l'hôtel donnant sur un carrefour où passent beaucoup de véhicules. A recommander pour un séjour de moins d'une semaine.

Hotêl très bien situé dans le quartier du Mont-Royal juste à coté de la rue Saint Denis (commerce, restaurant, etc). Hotêl très propre, la qualité du service est bien présente et niveau rapport qualité/prix rien a dire. Nous avons été très bien acceuilli par le responsable "Giovanni" et notre séjour était super. Je vous recommande vivement cette Hotêl.

petit hotel sympa, extremement bien situé sur le plateau, à 2 pas des boutiques et cafés. Le staff est accueillant et décontracté, c'est propre et calme. Qualité/prix imbattable pour Montréal. Il y a une salle de bain pour 3 chambres, qui était toujours libre. Parfait pour les petits budgets, et bien plus intime que n'importe quelle auberge de jeunesse. Allez-y!

L'hôtel vient d'être renouvelé et la décoration et moderne et réussie. Le monsieur à l'accueille est très souriant et très serviable. Les plus: le prix, la décoration, la propreté, l'internet sans fil, le personnel, le peignoir et les pantoufles (neufs) mis à la disposition du client dans la chambre, le café ouvert 24/24 en bas de l'hôtel (on y mange très bien), le frigo dans la chambre, le quartier et la situation de l'hôtel (juste à côté du métro et de la rue St. Denis; plein de restaurants et de magasins) Les moins: Il n'y a malheureusement pas de salles de bains dans les chambres. En revanche, les toilettes et les douches dans les couloirs sont propres et nous n'avons jamais eu à faire la queue pour y aller. Aussi, les chambres ne sont pas très bien isolées. Conclusion: très bon rapport qualité/prix

We had a wonderful time in Montreal at the International Jazz Festival 2010. Could not have asked for better care and hospitality from the hotel staff. I would most definitely stay there again if I were looking for quality at an affordable. Can't beat the price!! The location of the hotel was perfect; conveniently location right next to a metro stop. Practically in the back door. And very close to many restaurants and shops. A special thanks to the hotel manager (Giovanni) and assistant. See ya next year!!

I was in Montreal for 2 days to see the laugh festival. Our hotel was in a great location in downtown Montreal and we walked to the festival events. There were great food choices nearby and the staff were very helpful. This is a great hotel for student travelers and couples. If you are looking for Hilton quality this isn't it. This is a great hotel for the international traveler and for those that want a step up from a hostel.

Pros: --GREAT location next to Mont Royal station and in walking of distance of lots of sights and restaurants --Good price (better than a hostel for two) --Neat and clean room --Breakfast Cons: --Air conditioner would blow the fuse every and room would get very hot (90F outside) --The person at reception refused to switch the fuse off and on to restart the lights/air conditioning/TV in our room, until another guest complained. --No one apparently in charge of hotel at night All in all, a good experience, except for the heat and the sort of apathetic staff person. If there were no better options, I'd stay here again.

This hotel struck me as neat and tidy and charming as I walked up the front stairway. It is in a great location, too. Coffee maker and extensive continental breakfast in lobby. Drawbacks: rooms are tiny, furniture bare basics, no air conditioning. Overall, a good bet for a short 3-4 day stay, but beyond that, especially in hot weather, it would get uncomfortable.

Great place for the price, and location was wonderful, right next door to a metro stop. The hotel and neighborhood was more for the 20/30 something traveler, but still a nice stay. The bathrooms are hostel-like and shared, but they are clean and private.

Small hotel, thru a door and up a staircase on the 2nd floor above street. #1 and especially nice is the location-> VERY near to Mont Royal metro stop. Lot of restaurants are very close. Little bit of street noise, but was ok (I asked another room, but there pretty booked and not many options on that. Shared showers (small) and bathrooms are near reception desk. Continental breakfast is ok too (fruit, croissant, butter and jam, not elaborate). I gathered from a Canadian friend familiar with Montreal that as single room rates go...no brainer, this is a good deal for Montreal! Staff very friendly and multi-lingual. I recommend and will stay here again next year:)

In the heart of Plateau Mont Royal, next to Metro stop, plenty of shopping, dining and bars within a few blocks. Sink in room, but shared toilet & shower in hallway. These were cleaned several times daily, so not an issue. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

An excellent location for those who love to ramble Montreal's beautiful Plateau neighborhood. The European-style accommodations (shared bath and toilet facilities) may present some difficulty during the high season, but the convenience, cleanliness, and comfort of the hotel make this a wonderful off season alternative to the more expensive options in Old Montreal.

what a unique little place....have stayed in 5 stars that didn't provide for a better experience than this little place...location in middle of Mont Royal plateau area was wonderful....like Latin Quarter in New Orleans and Greenwich Village in NYC...funky,cosmopolitan,busy cafes and eateries...lots of interesting shops....hotel was clean, secure and comfortable...staff helpful and informative if you don't mind not having toilet/shower in room, it's a bargain...spent 3 nights and would have extended if we could...just don't get turned off by initial looks from out on street....

Room looked shabby, but bed was reasonably comfortable, and smelled okay. More outside noise than I liked. Barebones, okay for crashing for one night. Convenient to a Metro station.

We choose Hotel Stay based on the reviews and having stayed in European hotels with shared baths. We were pleased with the fascinating neighborhood at our doorstep, the immediate access to the underground Metro system, and the constant presence of the hotel staff 24 hours a day to greet us and meet any need. We were frankly amazed at how quiet the interior of the hotel was [good soundproofing in a well-maintained building], the cleanliness of baths and public areas [cleaned more than once daily], and the astounding low price. This is probably the most pleasant/best value hotel in which we have stayed - delighted we chose it for our 45th wedding anniversary. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator for handicapped accessibility.

I love the hotel.. It was so comfortable and cute.... Very modern and close to everything... The people are so friendly at the hotel and accommodating.. Planning to stay again there when i come back to Montreal.... I felt home.. instead of a hotel feeling... I highly recommended..~~

We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean room in a great location right at the Metro station and above a 24 hour deli/cafe. The owners were very accomodating and friendly. I was a little worried about the shared bathrooms but my fiance and myself had no problem as they were very accessible and clean. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Het Stay Mont-Royal heeft een belangrijke pre: de locatie. Gelegen in de kleurrijke en artistieke buurt van Montreal is dit echt een toplocatie als je lopend de typische sfeer van Montreal wil proeven. Daar houden de voordelen dan echter wel op.... Het begint met de entree: dit is een shabby deurtje waar wij de eerste twee maal langsreden. De kamers zijn klein en zijn niet zo mooi als wordt voorgesteld op de foto's, loszittende lampenkoppen, armoedige slecht werkende airco's, etc. De algemene staat van het hotel is slecht, her en der wat afgebladderde verf. De website geeft een veel te rooskleurig beeld: zo houdt 'ontbijt' slechts in dat er een doos met droge croissants ergens in een kamer staat (zonder tafels en stoelen), welke op de kamer kunnen worden opgegeten. Essentieel is het dat de woorden 'gedeelde douche en toiletten' worden opgenomen uit de beschrijving, dit zijn smerige, kleine gedeelde douches en toiletten met een raampje dat er voor zorgt dat vanaf de gang alles zichtbaar is tijdens de privé-momentjes. Al met al is het bijzonder af te raden, het is beneden de verwachtingen op elk gebied.

Kleines, sehr gemütliches Hotel inmitten vom Plateau. Metrostation gleich beim Hauseingang. Wird vom Besitzer selber bedient. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fliessend Wasser im Zimmer. Dusche und WC im Gang, aber immer sehr sauber (sogar Bademantel und latschen liegen bereit). Zimmer wird bei mehreren Übernachtungen nicht gemacht, ist aber bei diesem Preis vollkommen okey.
