Excellent for location, price, new room

Excellent value, great location. Can't think of 1 negative!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights , our first visit to Vancouver....impressed with room , but let down by bathroom minor issues .There was no hair conditioner supplied , just same old same old combination shampoo /conditioner that we all know doesnt do a good conditioning job on hair. they doant provide ample drying racks for large towels , altho […] they want us to reuse them... The lobby didnt provide any info about Vancouver that we could see , but the staff were great , they need brochures The restaurant...well we were sat out the back in the dark windowless room for dinner , in spite of there being empty tables in front..we are a mature couple so obviously we didnt look right from the window..we wanted a predinner drink one night , and were not alllowed on the emmpty sofas in the front by the window...we chose to leave..the restaurant staff need a good talking to .when we asked about the empty tables , we were told they were reserved , obviously not true...they remained empty while we ate out dinner..this was dissappointing because it appeared to be the hotels only restaurant , and the food was good on the one night we ate there..in the back room!!t he othere nights we ate elsewhere.. overall our stay was very good value for money..and I would recommend the hotel, good location a word of warning about the taxi drivers outside the hotel..they do not know where they are going in spite of Sat nav! on 2 occasions we took taxis we were taken the wrong way..so get the location checked by the hotel staff before you let the taxi leave the hotel! The Coast Coal Harbour was a very clean and environmentally friendly hotel. They offered large reusable shampoo/soap bottles, recycling bins, and even provided a compost bin. The food served at the Coast was delicious, and I would highly recommend eating there. Clean and bright with comfy beds and nice deep bath tubs. Felt safe to take a walk around the neighbourhood for a late night stroll. I thought the rate was very good considering the location and newness of the hotel. Only thingI can complain about is the complementary razor they gave me. Come on...single blade in 2012? With upcoming Management meetings I needed a nice and convenient place to put everyone coming in from our other offices. With the lovely help from Hotel.com I was able to find Coast Coal Harbour at a very attractive price. My co-workers that stayed there were extremely impressed. Great hotel, clean room, great service. Highly recommend.

I was delighted with the services provided by this hotel. The hotel staff was amazing providing genuine, friendly assistance. Fitness studio and change rooms were clean and well equipped. From check-in to check-out, this hotel was really great in my books. All the staff were very informative and willing to assist. Food and drink at the restaurant was very well presented and at a fair price. Rooms were clean and comfortable, fantastic bedding and pillows. Large-format bath products is a great idea (with the small ones still available […] to take home). Free wired/wireless internet and only a short hop down to the sea wall and convention center. We had a great stay here. Prefect location for us. Right near coal harbour, easy access to boat cruises, sea wall, stanley park and the rest of downtown. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable - would stay again.

Loved your hotel and the view. Loved Vancouver.

Sometimes hotels uses "being green" as an excuse for lack of comfort etc. but not this hotel. It is very clean, and very comfortable, and very GREEN. The shampoo and shower jell were in the large bottles, and there were three garbage baskets - one for garbage, one for recycle, and one for compost. Now one for compost really impressed me! How many times […] have I regretfully thrown a banana peel into a trash! Here I did not have to! The hotel is clean, stylish, comfortable, with great staff throughout. I have stayed at a few other high end hotels in Vancouver downtown, CCH is definitely among the best. I found out it was just built in 2010, which explains the modern style and super cleaniness. The room is very comfortable and spacious, staff are super friendly and helpful, location is great. Will return again in the future.

This hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly. If you are wanting to be close to the waterfront, Stanley Park and the aquarium this is the place to stay.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were very impressed with botht the check in and bell boys. We went up to our room and felt like Rock Stars! What a bright, clean room. I have never been in a hotel room that was so bright-due to the floor to ceiling windows. Outdoor pool on the 5th floor was palatial. Exercise room and shower room were so clean and new. […] Location downtown was super close to shopping, a block from the harbour front, 2 min to the Olympic Torch. This hotel was AMAZING. It is about 4 blocks from Canada place and we woudl have walked with our luggage to the cruise terminal if we wern't with our parents. The staff was GREAT. The only minor thigs were no free breakfast and mostly doble beds. Those aren;t problems at all really. I woudl reccomend this to anyone.

This hotel is very modern, excellent location, very comfortable beds & super bed linen. The one small complaint is that the rooms don't have a fridge. Staff very helpful. Overall excellent.

I have stayed here the last three times I visited Vancouver. In all cases the hotel has proved excellent in terms of location, general comfort, restaurant and gym. My only issue is with the AC. Some of the rooms have slightly noisy units, so when its hot and you need the AC on during the night, it can wake you when it turns on. I stayed here on business for a meeting at Westin Bayshore; the hotel is very clean, quite quiet, and convenient to the waterfront (1 block). It is close to the Waterfront rail stop from the airport, and a short walk to the Marina and Stanley Park. Nice hotel, free wi-fi (as it should be, Westin and Marriott!). Rooms are not spacious, but efficient […] and well-designed. Only complaint - my room A/C system was rather noisy - it started intermittently with a startling roar; I had to turn it off to sleep. VERY good value for money. Helpful and friendly staff. A spotless room which was also in excellent condition.

hotel is located in nice part of downtown with walking access to the harbour. Vancouver in summer is hard to beat, and walking in this area is nice access to restaurants and sights. People treated us well, at all levels. Didnt use the restaurants, short stay, so cant comment on that.

We only stayed 1 night at the Coal harbour Hotel before flying home to Scotland. A month would have been better. Excellent service and room. Good location near harbour and Robson St. Would recommend this hotel.

The Coast Coal Harbor hotel provided an excellent base for touring the beautiful city of Vancouver before our Alaska cruise. Only one block from the harbor and within walking distance of many sights. Don't miss the Big Bus tour and Granville Island. The Urban Fare food store and cafe diagonally across from the hotel offers wonderful breakfast, lunch […] and dinner offerings and coffee in an upscale setting at very reasonable prices. The service at this hotel was outstanding. The staff couldn't do enough for you. It seems to be either near new or recently completely refurbished. Comfortable, very clean and well maintained. We stayed in this hotel twice and the first time we had a terrific view of the harbour. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby which is the biggest disadvantage […] of the location. However, it's walking distance to downtown and the harbour and quite close to Stanley Park with a bus service going directly past. On site restaurant is a bit on the pricey side. The only things I could find to criticize is the lack of a hand rail for getting in and out of the bath / shower and the lack of a fridge (however this seems fairly normal in North America). We had a great room in the corner, with early check in and late check out. Breakfast service was slwo but food was good. Not much in hotel apart from pool and hottub, but made use of them. Rooms very comfy and location excellent for convention centre.

Hotel was within walking distance to the cruises ships, restaurants and shopping making it a perfect location for our stay in Vancouver.

The staff is really nice. Room was new & clean. Nice comfortable bed. Few blocks to Robson. 7 min walk to Gastown pubs & restaurants. 7/11 around the corner. Parking expensive due to city's taxes, so don't rent a car until you absolutely need it. I will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is very clean, quiet and convenient to many parts of the West End. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I stayed here for 4 nights because I was at a conference in the convention center. The view is great, the room was clean and modern, and with Free wi-fi the cost was perfect. I would definitely stay here again. I miss Vancouver.

I was in Vancouver for a conference and we easy pay twice what I paid for this room. I do find after a long day the walk to the restaurants and Robson is a bit far. Thankfully there was a nice sushi place around the corner for quick meals, and a Starbucks. I missed having a fridge and microwave in my room. They do provide robes if you ask.
