Un hôtel très moderne, très propre, très confortable et idéalement situé au coeur de Brisbane près de la Gare Saint Anne Street. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, les lits confortables le service et les équipements impeccables. Servie rapide et efficace, parfait pour un voyage d'affaires ou un court séjour à Brisbane. Un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel pour Brisbane et l'Australie en général.

accueil sympathique, chambre correcte, mais ni lave-linge, ni sèche-linge, ni lave-vaisselle dans les studios, seulement dans les appartements plus grands (précision absente du site hotels.com) et ligne ferroviaire à proximité.

S'il y a bien lemplacement quon ne peut qu'apprecier cad a 5mn a pied de la queen street mall ! Il en est autrement de tout le reste. Pr un prix tres abordable, il faut sen tenir a du strict minimum. Accueil froid, ascenseur obsolète, chambre precaire (matelas troué, table de chevet cassé, sol impropre. Une fois posée la valise, il ny a plus de place […] ds la chambre. Les murs sont fins, isolation phonique deplorable (on entend les voisins de chambre comme sils etaient avec nous). La salle de bain commune nest pas entretenue, il y a des fuites deaux, des fissures...un conseil privilégier (a defaut de) une chambre unique au 4eme etage, il y a tt de meme moins de passage quaux etages inferieurs, la salle de bain commune est plus propre (nettoyage le matin a 7-8h) et on entend moins les bruits sonores du club bar au rez de chaussée. "Too much money for too much dirt"
Had an individual room. Honestly, nothing there. No place to hang up clothes. No chair. Curtains were rags. The price for this hostel was at least 1/3 higher than hostels in Sydney and Melbourne, which had better hostels (individual rooms). If it had been 1/3 cheaper, I would have said: OK. I booked BASE having stayed in many good hostels in NZ before arriving in Australia. When I arrived I was given a room on the roof, on the way up I passed people mulling about on the stairwell and the entire roof area was full of rubbish. It was dark and dingy and, to be quite honest scary. I didn't shower the next day as the bathrooms were not clean. "somewhere to crash overnight"
As everyone said, the best thing about this place is the location. Beside that, everything else is OLD =)) . The room has nothing beside a bed and a tiny head table (the size of the room is considered small to me and I've been to quite many hostel over years) . I witnessed why someone described "the elevator is too scary to use". It is probably older […] than the one I saw in QVB (Syd) and not as well maintained. If you stay at level 4 like me, good luck walking. There is no air-conditioner in the room, so if you are travelling during the hot season, be warned. The ceiling fan didn't work in my room. I asked the staff if they have any table fans, they said they already lent out many fans and there is none left. Beside those, the location is great. the staff are friendly, the bar Down under is cheap (dont expect too much out of $10 meals though). The hostel tried to engage everyone to join the night club, the kitchen is ok, the toilet and bathroom is in acceptable condition. To be fair, if you just want somewhere to crash at night like me, this is not bad, considered its opposit Central station! While the staff at the hostel were great and really friendly the building is in dire need of some maintenance and decoration. We booked a double room and was disappointed by the room when we got there. The pictures were very deceiving on the website, while the description did mention shared bathroom facilities the picture showed a private bathroom.. […] Overall the stay was "ok".. arrived at the hotel 3.30am as needed somewhere to rest & shower for a job interview with my daughter. I chose this hotel for convenience to the job interview and that we would only be there 5 hours in total. was horrified with room, bedding quite stained, yellowed and not inviting at all - in fact we placed our bath towels over the linen to rest on […] the bed. The noise from other tennants was so disruptive until 6am in the morning. The bathroom was a disgrace, my shower was covered in hair, the sinks dirty as! "Base Hostel - ok hostel"
Apparently Brisbane has one of the highest hotel/hostel occupance numbers in the world, meaning it's hard to find a room. Base offers both shared dorms and, what I took for two nights, single rooms. I got a room on the top floor (the roof) and it was very, very small. To use a bathroom I had to cross the roof, go down a floor and go through a corridor. […] The toilets and showers were separate from each other and no problem with occupance. They were also ok fresh. The room was more dirty though, at least on the floor but the bed felt ok. Checked for bed bugs, couldn't find any, nor traces for old ones (check tutorials for this on Youtube). The whole place is quite old though, so all utensils including the elevator, bathrooms etc, are very run down. Showers are always dripping, color is flaking off etc. But the worst things are twofold: it's very noisy (depending on where you live of course, Base is several stories high, singles are not only on roof), there is a ventilation shaft and stuff on the room which makes a heck of a noise, all day and all night. Earplugs recommended. Second, Base clearly targest young people who are backpacking so if that's you you will be able to meet lots of others in your situation, and get great advice from the very friendly and helpful staff. There's also a pub/bar on the bottom floor, the Down Under Bar, which is open many nights a week so the bass is heard a lot. That being said, I enjoyed my stay as everybody is very friendly, clean enough, cheap enough (among the cheapest in Brissy) and it's located very, very central (in a city which basically is a 2-million-population suburb). For those that wish to stay longer than just a couple of nights I recommend getting a room through any of the roommate sites. Cheers! I would just like to start by saying that the staff are totally BRILLIANT! However, the nightclub below was just too much for my mind and body to handle. I don't mean that I was in it - I mean I was trying to sleep through it. It's so unfortunate that I feel I wouldn't return for that one reason. I liked having my own room, especially since I had booked […] to stay in a 4 bunk room, I liked the convenience of the location and the price was just right. This is a hostel, not a hotel. However, even for a hostel it was not great. The carpet in our room was wet, perhaps from cleaning, so the room smelled really musty, almost like an old forgotten gym bag. The toilets were quite dirty, some with missing toilet seats, and there was lots of hallway noise throughout the night. The blankets on the beds were […] not actual adult blankets, but a Dora the Explorer children's fleece blanket, so you have to choose whether to cover your feet or your shoulders. really good location just across from central station, close to queen street where alot of the shops are; everything within walking distance. rooms were okay although the hall did smell of pee. bad points were that my charger was too bulky to go in the sockets in the room (which were at floor level) and this meant i had to sit downstairs and wait while […] they charged; hostel was extremely warm compared to outside even with fans on. bring earplugs! This hostel is in a very convenient location - right across the road from Central station and not far from Queen Street mall. My single room was very small but adequate and had a ceiling fan. The shared bathroom was decent and clean. The hostel can be a little loud so if you're a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing ear plugs. The reception service […] was gruff and not particularly friendly, and it seemed that they didn't record the fact that I had left a $20 key deposit, but it was still fairly efficient. i stayed there two nights. i chose this hostel because i wanted to make hotel money cheap as much as possible and also i wanted to stay very close to the city and city central station. the room was not that bad but it is hardly able to be described as clean. but if you are a student and you just need somewhere to sleep and relax, that would be fine […] to stay there a couple of days. access to the city is perfect. just 5 mins walk to the Queen street mall which is the main shopping area in Brisbane. 清潔度・快適度は他の宿泊者が自分の荷物を散らかしていたので低評価としました。ゴールドコーストマラソン（７月１日日曜日）に出場するため、２９日（金）と２日（月）にひとりで利用したのですが、２９日の方が室内外ともに騒がしく、居心地が悪かったので寝る直前まで外で過ごし、翌朝もすぐチェックアウト（５時台）してゴールドコーストに移動。シャワーすら使いませんでした。ゴールドコーストからブリスベンへの移動（２日月曜日）も、できるだけ遅めにしました。この日の宿泊者は年配の方もいて、騒がしくなりませんでしたが、結局この旅行で、ブリスベンでは夜しか過ごしませんでした（笑）ひとりで利用する方で、あまり社交的ではなく、周囲が騒がしいとストレスを感じられる方にはお勧めできないと思います。 スタッフは若い方ばかりで、全 […] 体的にノリのいい感じ（こちらの答えたことにすべて「パーフェクト」「ビューティフル」などと言ってくる）でした。ゴールドコーストへの移動手段、時刻などを尋ねたとき、丁寧に教えてくださいました。 Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia

"Eines unserer schlechtesten Hostels"
Im Zimmer herrschte ein unangenehmer Geruch. Das Fenster konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Im Zimmer hatte es nur ein Bett. Die Toiletten waren zerstört, verstopft oder verschmutzt. Es war die ganze Nacht laut und hell. Wir haben schlecht geschlafen.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Detta var utan tvekan det sämsta vi varit med om, och då har vi rest runt länge!! Det var skitigt, rörigt och ett fruktansvärt liv. Mattorna på golvet var upptrampade ner till grundgolvet. Väggarna var inte färdig målade och var dem det hade det flagnat bort stora bitar. Fönster hade de satt igen med en träskiva om de saknades.
