"Nice stopover"
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel in a fairly out of the way area. Clean and comfortable and a nice stopover en route to the rest of Virginia. The hot breakfast is very nice. The only quibble is that the container used for hot water had clearly been used for coffee at one point in past and spoiled a cup of tea with a burnt coffee taste.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Nice hitel"
This hotel was very nice- after seeing bed bug pictures at a nearby hotel there was no question. Didn't get t enjoy breakfast so I'm not sure how that stacked up against other Hampton inns. The one drawback is a very awkward entrance that had us circling several times.Avis véridique Expedia

We really enjoyed out stay at this hotel. There were many things we enjoyed about the hotel. The room was uncluttered, did not have a lot of useless furniture. The fact that there was a thermostatic on the wall to control the room temp was great. The cutest thing was the "to go bag" for anyone who wanted to take for the trip home. The location was central to north or south of sights on the Eastern Shores. Bathroom sink had slow drainage... not enough of a problem to request a room change. Bathroom was cleaned middle day of our stay, but beds were not made up. "The room is nice"
Having to go to this area for a funeral, I did not want stay in a bad hotel. The reviews for the hotel helped me choose (the one closer to the church did not receive good reviews). So, as it was helpful to me, I hope this helps someone else. The room was quite nice (more upscale than you would think) big comfortable bed, clean everything, big bathroom, […] granite & wood, etc. My ONLY problem was the lack of restaurants in the area or the hotel. They do offer a nice complimentary breakfast, so… But surrounding area was strictly fast food; McDonalds being the closest. But that is the area, and in no way the hotels fault. "Exmore's best hotel"
The hotel was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again & recommend to anyone. Brand new, very spacious rooms. Bathroom had a very large sink area with open storage underneath. The morning breakfast was outstanding with more to offer than I'd every had before at any other motel/hotel. Staff was extremely helpful & very friendly. About 10 minutes after we checked in we received a phone call from the front desk asking if our room was satisfactory. It was very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Stayed overnight on the way to the Outer Banks. The beds were super comfortable, the suites were clean and well appointed, and the breakfast choices were abundant. Other than a slight mix-up with the bill placed under our door (it wasn't our bill!), everything went well. If you stay here, make sure you dine at the Machipongo International Clam Shack […] a couple of miles down the road. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the seafood is FRESH. "Comfortable lodgings"
Perhaps not the least expensive hotel in the area, the cleanliness and the comfort of the room made up for the above-average price. The nicest features for us (in a king room) were the large bathroom and shower and the strong water pressure available in the shower.
