"HOTEL THE FORUM à POMPANO BEACH"

"Strangest Hotel I ever stayed at - institutional"
I chose this place because it was highly rated and fairly inexpensive. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels. This place was just weird - institutional. It was extremely overrated. I didn't know that it was once a hospital, but I was immediately taken aback because it was a heavy-duty Christian retreat place - this was not in the description. I had […] to sign a paper saying that I would not have any alcohol or tobacco. This was not a problem but was strange. Christian music playing in the hallways. In any case, the first room they gave me smelled musty and generally terrible. I went back down to the desk and they happily gave me another that was fine. The room would be accurately described as a college dormroom. Carpet was industrial, beds were hard and bathroom was small. No shampoo - only a tiny bar of soap. It was clean, but reminded me of a Motel 6. Breakfast was way below standards. Although this was inexpensive, I would never stay here again - just weird. Lisez la suite
The staff was very relaxed. The room was good. The bathroom was horrible. Needs updating. It was a very quite neat hotel. Yes, for another weekend get away to relax, yea maybe. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO POOL!! Big downer!.
"Hospital turned Hotel"
So...this hotel once was a hospital and you can tell right away. It is surrounded by a health center and the hallways really make you feel like you are in the hospital. The room was nice and comfortable and the front desk guy, Lou was very friendly. We did have trouble getting into the room since the keys were scanner keys and you really had to push […] on the door to get it opened. Lisez la suite
"very good hotel - very bad breakfast"
Breakfast was a joke.Very few choices. Bagels and Muffins probably 2-3 days old.
"Very nice place if you're looking for quiet."
We enjoyed the fact that there is no smoking or drinking on the premises of this hotel. The remodeled hospital decor was very well done; but if you've ever spent much time in a hospital it is very deja-vu. Luis at the front desk was AMAZING! He helped us with every aspect of our limited time in Ft. Lauderdale. He suggested dining and tour ideas; and […] he even gave us good directions to everything. Lisez la suite
"The Forum-Fort L"
a little hard to find but a great value for an overnight or pre-flight stay-could not believe the size and comfort for the money-bring some minisand make sure there is ice....beds towells tv and comfort-my room would have been comfortable for 6
"Would not stay here again"
I chose this hotel because the reviews were so good. I came down to Miami for Ultra and chose to stay here in Pompano Beach. It was about a 50 min drive in Traffic and 30 min drive without traffic. The room we got had cochroaches! I Called the front desk and they moved us into a different room which was free of cockroaches. The hotel must be invested […] with them. The hotel had a very "hospital" like feel to it. I would not stay here again. Lisez la suite

"The Forum's pretty good"
Very good price, good hotel, good service, good room, all nice and clean and comfy. Would definitely book there again and recommend.
"A qualified yes"
If you don't maine staying in a former hospital with bathrooms the size of a telephone booth [granted a large telephone booth] then fine. It is immaculate but it is weird. Forgetting the weird part, it's a steal.
"The Forum"
Love this place. Helpful staff, Price very reasonable, clean, safe. Free breakfast, free parking. the only thing missing is a pool. There aren't chocolates on your pillow, but there is a frig and microwave. This was my 3rd stay The fact it is run by a church, and the ban on alcohol and smoking.should be included in the advertising This is all a plus […] to me, but it may not be to some. Lisez la suite
"Best Kept Secret"
The Forum is one of those "Best Kept Secret" places to stay when in the Pompano/Ft. Lauderdale area. Quiet, clean and just what a hotel should be for those wanting a place to sleep and relax. We are non-smokers and non-drinkers, so it is perfect for us.
"Creepy & CreepIer"
First of all, The hotel USED to be a hospital. Everything about the hotel still reminds you of a hospital! From the beds, the bathroom & even the towel (might I include if you stay here.. bring your own wash cloths, towels & soap.. they supply NOTHING.) The towels & wash cloths in my room were flithy. They had brown spots around the egdes even small […] pieces of hairs through out the towels. Next, the front desk crew were pleasant during the day, as night fell (in which we checked in) they were tired & rude! OVERALL, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!! Lisez la suite
"The hotel forum"
The hotel forum it feels like you are in prison and it's dirty and charge you doble after you chek out so be carfull if you want to stay in this hotel because you didn't have other opcion.
"Creepy"
The hotel resembles an OLD CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL!! it really creeped me out. I was suppose to stay the night but I ended up checking out early because it was just VERY uncomfortable! I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be haunted at night. It felt like we would wake up in the middle of the night with deceased/former children standing at […] the foot of our bed. Just very unpleasant Lisez la suite
"The Forum in Pompano Beach, Fl."
This hotel stay was the worst I have ever had. The room was merky with no bath towel when i arrived. I requested towels and was told i needed to go back down stairs and get them myself! The towels were small, very thin and cheap. The place used to be a Hospital which made me feel very uncomfortable! Who knows what might have happened in that room! When […] we returned for the night we were locked out of the front entrance and could not get in because after a certain time there is no front desk attendant. So here we are my wife and I locked out of our hotel (Hospital)in the worst part of town. Not to mention the continental breakfast served is terrible. The furniture in the room was old, dirty and large scratches and stains all around them. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. And we never got room service through out our entire stay. They claimed we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door when in fact we personally spoke with the cleaning lady on our way out and told her that we wanted our room done! this is absolutely unexceptable! This place is TERRIBLE!!!!!! Lisez la suite
"Forum Hotel in Pompano Beach, FL - good value"
The staff was uniformly helpful; the hotel is easy to reach from the hotel. We got 2 double beds instead of the king we had requested, but for the price we can't complain! Lots of restaurants close by.
This is a hospital. If you don't like hospitals don't stay here.
"Worth the hunt !"
Although the stay was niece, I felt that I would have liked to know in advance that no alcohol was allowed on premises. We had just started our vacation and after a long day of travel would have enjoyed a drink in the comfort of our room. Not wanting to break any rules, we did not. We had purchased a six pack of beer prior to arriving at The Forum and […] left it in the car. I understand that religious beliefs may not go hand in hand with alcohol consumption, but had I know the connection to The Forum, I may have made another choice of lodging. Other than that, Quiet, Clean, Comfortable but Erie best describe the accommadations to us. Thank you for our stay. Lisez la suite
"Mission Hotel"
This hotel was more like a dorm than a hotel. There were strict "rules" including not being able to bring food from breakfast back to your room and a $200 fine if alcohol was found in your room...this was not what i was looking for. I would have been better off at a 1 or 2 star hotel!!!!!
"It is what it is."
Wanted a discount hotel room for a night and got it. Room was clean, staff was avaiable for our late night check in (after 1:00am). No problems, just a hotel room with no frills.

"The Forum, Pompano Beach, FL"
Nice, quiet location. Restaurants within easy driving distance. Would stay there again.
"The Forum in Pompano Beach, FL"
This is a Christian hotel who advised me on checkin that there is a penalty if I smoke or consume alcohol on the premises. The beds are hard, the pillows tiny, the soap tiny and no shampoo, cream, etc is provided. Acommodations are spartan, but clean. If this is your style, have fun!

"The Forum in Pompano Beach"
We found the staff polite, helpful and friendly. We liked the location-quiet and away from traffic. it was a pleasure meeting other people at breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.
"Not a real hotel and feels kind of creepy . . ."
This place might be ok to use if you need to crash for just a night, but there is something creepy about it. It's a converted hospital and it still feels like a hospital. The rooms are clean and they've put some effort into redecorating, but my room had nothing but an uncomfortable bed, a closet-sized bathroom and an older TV that only showed a few […] stations. If you want to do anything other than lie in bed, you have to go out to the central public areas that feel more sparse than the rooms, especially since the nurses' stations have been removed. The location is also far off the beaten path, but yet still backed up to 95, so you get the road noise. Breakfast is included, but you'd be better off going to a restaurant. It's not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but I would only stay there again if there was nothing else available. Lisez la suite
"very good choice"
We stayed just 1 night, but may say 100% that this was a very good choice. Clean hotel with big parking. The staff was friendly. Our room was big and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
"The Forum"
Good location, clean room, no hassles
"Very good hotel"
Nice, clean , comfortable and quite
This Hotel is a above a dialysis center.
"Creepy!"
This "hotel" is actually a moneymaker for some sort of mission which has converted a hospital into a hotel/conference facility. No amount of decor can take away the feel of staying in a hospital! The room was small, very limited tv, typically small & creepy hospital bathroom w/o anything but soap. The only food available was microwavable items like […] mac & cheese at a hefty price; breakfast was marginal at best! Lisez la suite
"Complimentart breakfast great - if you can get it!"
The one criticism I would have is that the complimentary breakfast can often be consumed by those using the conference facilities. This can mean that little or nothing is left by the time hotel guests come down for breakfast, and the server is more concerned with closing the breakfast room right on 10am than dealing with this issue, and the day manager […] is even less concerned .We were very pleased with the value for our stay Lisez la suite

"OK for somewhere to sleep, not a destination"
The Forum Hotel was an OK place to stay but be aware of 3 things: 1. It is a Christian retreat so there are religious references throughout the hotel. 2. Because it is a christian retreat, there is a strict no smoking and no drinking policy or you can face a fine. 3. It used to be a hotel or medical facility. The hallways have not been updated so when […] you get off the elevator, you definitely feel like you're in a hospital. All the room doors are large like a hospital and the bathrooms are not updated well either. It was clean and served its purpose for us as a place to sleep and shower but don't expect anything besides that. Lisez la suite
"The Forum"
Forum was a pleasant surprise! Extremely clean, quiet & kept up well. Bathroom is small & beds are a bit short. But, all in all, a good experience!
"The Forum"
I was very upset to find out that this was a converted hospital that still currently had some services being ran out of the building. The original room we had smelled so bad that I had a headache within minutes. The bathrooms were just like you would expect from an old hospital with no updated fixture. It took us over an hour then left for dinner to […] get the manager to find us another room which was somewhat better. The place just had an uneasy feeling. So disappointed from what the internet showed. Lisez la suite
"The Forum Hotel- is a converted hospital"
This hotel is a converted hospital with a dialysis unit still attached. We checked in and utilized the elevator to get to our rooms. As soon as the elevator opened I instantly noticed that it was a hospital. There have not been many upgrades to the hallways. I opened the double doors that led to the wings and there was a terrible odor. It smelled like […] wet carpet, dirty dogs and urine. The windows could not be opened and were painted shut. A call was made to the front desk to lodge a complaint and they hung up on us. The rooms did not look like the advertised photos and the bathrooms had no upgrades they were what you would find in a current hospital. I was extremely dissatisfied. I would definately not recommend this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite
"Forum"
My only disappointment was that it was not a suite, but two rooms without a door or any privacy between them which is what I expected.
