Psirri, qui fut autrefois le quartier de la tannerie, s'est métamorphosé il y a quelques années en haut lieu de la vie nocturne athénienne. Regorgeant de bars en nombre toujours croissant, de tavernes et de discothèques, il propose des divertissements grand public. Plusieurs bars à thème latin et oriental viennent rehausser l'ensemble. Psirri s'éveille à la tombée de la nuit, mais le marché central voisin mérite une visite en journée.

"Emplacement rêvé pour le coeur d'Athènes !"
La situation physique de l'hôtel est étonnante (en plein milieu du marché central) mais à 5mn de Monastiraki donc parfaite ! L'accueil, rien à dire sinon merci à Olga & à sa collègue pour tous les petits détails fournis au fil de mon séjour (7nuits) . Mon prochain séjour à Athènes, c'est dans cet hôtel que je repartirais sans hésiter ! Le petit-déjeuner […] est très copieux et très bon. Wifi gratuit dans la chambre. "Confortable et central"
Hôtel très bien situé et confortable. Il est à 8 minutes de la station de métro monastiraki, et donc direct pour l'aéroport ou le Pyrée. On n'est pas loin non plus de l'Agora. Bon hôtel en lui-même avec une belle vue sur l'Acropole depuis le soir. Très sympa le soir en buvant un cocktail. Le centre historique avec tout ce qui mérite d'être vu est à moins de 15 minutes à pied. Le seul problème est le quartier autour, vraiment mal famé avec des junkies pour certains agressifs. "original, accueillant et atypique"
Lorsque le taxi nous a déposés devant l'hôtel, on se demandait vraiment où on arrivait... même le chauffeur de taxi se demandait ce qu'un hôtel faisait là, juste en face du marché. Bref, quelqu'un est venu réceptionner nos bagages à l'arrivée puis les a montés dans notre chambre propre et spacieuse. Une petite bouteille de vin et deux verres à pieds […] étaient posés sur la table avec une carte de bienvenue. Le soir , un bar au 8ème étage permet avec une vue à 360° d'admirer l'acropole et le coucher de soleil en buvant un verre avant d'aller dîner. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Très bien situé! A 300 m de la station métro "monastiraki "(centre ville, quartier "touristique" de plaka). Personnel très agréable. Petit déjeuner très correct: petits croissants au beurre, différents pains, confitures, charcuterie, œufs, saucisses, fromage, yaourt grec au miel, fruit, céréales, café, cappuccino, chocolat […] chaud, thé, jus d'orange,... La literie et les sanitaires sont également très correctes. Les chambres du deuxième étage (côté rue) sont bruyantes dès 5h du matin à cause du marché aux fruits situé juste en face de l'hôtel, L'insonorisation générale est faible. Devant quitter tôt pour l'aéroport (en raison d'une grève de métro), nous n'avons pu prendre le déjeuner et en donner une appréciation. Stayed at this hotel a few years ago but it has been refurbished since then and what a difference it has made. The room was very comfortable and sound proof due to the new windows. The Hotel is centrally located to most everything in Athens you'll want to see. It's located in more of a residential area (open air market right outside the door and meat market up the road) and the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, but during the day was fine. The breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable/helpful, and in a walkable location for the sites in Athens. The major downside in our opinion were the noise (the market right outside the window had vendors setting up their stalls beginning quite early, and there was a very loud dance party the Saturday evening we were there which […] could have been an anomaly, but could also have been a local bar). The bathroom was very clean and new, and the rooms were also clean but perhaps a little sparse in furnishing, and the beds were of the caliber you'd expect for the price we paid. I stayed at the Athens Center Square Hotel on two separate occasions in June 2012- for 5 days initially, and once more after travelling elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's very clean, modern, and the best deal for similarly priced rooms in Athens (I should know, I've stayed at some real crap places!) It's centrally located, […] a short walk up from Monastiraki metro. The fruit/veg market is a very vibrant place during the day, and the hotel is located just outside. You might read about how it's shady over there etc, and while there are some not great parts of athens where you wouldn't want to go on your own at night, I think you're very safe here. I'm a young woman who stayed alone here and never felt like I was in danger. The room was good- very clean and comfortable. On my last night I stayed in one of the bigger rooms on the top floor- it was absolutely gorgeous. The balcony had views of Lycavittos hill, the bathroom was enormous, there was a huge comfy bed and a complimentary bottle of wine. I also liked how there were fridges in each room. But where this hotel absolutely excels is its staff. Very kind, helpful people who really know the meaning of 'filoxenia'. Especially Olga- she was so sweet and helpful and really helped make my stay in athens extra awesome. efhadisto olga :) There was also a very nice guy who was a porter I think. We enjoyed our stay at the Athens Center Square. The front door of the hotel opens directly onto the local fruit and vegetable market, which made for some interesting exploring. The hotel location is central to many significant must see parts of Athens and in the middle of a large market district as well as being a five minute walk to Monastiraki train station which is part of the Metro system and has a direct line to the Airport. The rest is within walking distance to all that you would need to see, eat and drink. A basic […] breakfast begins at 3am with the full menu coming on from 7 till 10 so my jet lag was quelled as was my insomnia. The rooftop view is magic and although the room seemed smaller than I was used to I soon settled to appreciate it was one small part of a bigger picture. This hotel was in a really central location, 15 minutes walk from the acropolis and all the other sites were with in walking distance although Monastiriki metro station is only 5 minutes away and has a train direct to the airport, The staff were fantastic, they all spoke English which was great as my Greek is shocking, nothing was too much trouble, […] they recommended restaurants, drew directions on maps and talked us through the best places to visit and at what times, The room was what you'd expect for a three star and really clean and comfortable and the shower was great, it can be a bit noisy due to the market outside but great value for money! I was nervous because I saw reviews saying the hotel was in a seedy neighborhood, but I was very pleased with the location and thought it was a great value. It's on a side street that by day serves as a vegetable market. It is a little dark and if you're the nervous type you may be, well, nervous, but I did not feel at all vulnerable going out at night. After staying in a business hotel in the city, we moved to spend the weekend in center of Athens. It is within walking distance to "everything", and the quality of the hotel surprised us all in a postive way.
