Bon accueil. Chambre et salle de bains de bon niveau. La salle de bains est très bien équipée avec sèche cheveux, brosse à dents et dentifrice, shampoo, conditioner et gel douche. On peut choisir la fréquence des changements de draps et des serviettes grâce à des affichettes magnétiques aimantées sur la porte. Hôtel très bien, personnel très accueillant. Proche du parc Ueno, avec plusieurs musée et du métro, point de départ parfait pour visiter la ville.

Je garde un très bon souvenir de cet hôtel, il y avait toujours quelqu'un à l'accueil même à 4h00 du matin! Toujours aimable, ils étaient à notre service quelque soit nos demandes. Les chambres étaient petites mais très bien insonorisée, avec la climatisation indispensable surtout en été. Les chambres étaient très propre, il y avait une femme de ménage […] qui venait tous les jours. Le seul hic, est qu'il fallait bien parler l'anglais, parce que personne ne parlait le français ou même d'autres langues européenne. Mais généralement on arrivait toujours à ce comprendre, mais avec de simple bases!!! Par contre, nous restons un peu déçu du petit déjeuner, il n'était pas du tout fameux, tout le monde ne mange pas des crudités ou de la soupe le matin, mais on pouvait toujours se rabattre sur des toasts du café et du lait. Des restaurants à proximité, la station Shin-Okachimachi à deux pas, cet hôtel est très accessible! nous ne regrettons pas du tout notre choix. I have stayed here twice so far this year and plan to return. It is very conveniently located: Hibiya, Ginza, Oeda, and JR all close by (5 - 10 min walk). Room is just large enough for two if you each have only one roller bag. The beds are extremely comfortable (I like firm). 500m walk from Okachimachi JR station, but nearer to some underground ones. Updated hotel, but with freezing atrium style setting. Staff were great, and breakfast supplied ok.

Great 3-star hotel in the area of Ueno, Tokyo. Close to at least three main subway lines and near the airport train (Keisei Skyliner) at the main Ueno station. Room was a good size by Tokyo standards (16m sq), clean with air con and fridge and there is BBC world available on TV. We had a room on the seventh floor with nice views of Eastern Tokyo. Once you learn how to read the maps of the area you find that there are sights and good eating all in your local neighbourhood. Pick up a map of eateries from the lobby. Hotel staff are very helpful. Free internet in the lobby for all guests. Great breakfast as part of the room rate. We stayed for five nights in a double room and we thought it was fantastic! Location: You are two minutes walk from the nearest Tokyo Metro station on the Oedo line. And then about a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Ueno station which connects you to Narita via the skyliner (44 mins) and the Keisi line (about 90 mins) as well as the Ginza, Hibiya […] and JR line. These subway lines will take you all over Tokyo to the best locations safely and quickly and at a fairly reasonable price. The location is also great if you want to stay in Ueno as there are plenty of noodle bars and restaurants around the hotel as well as Ueno park and the temple there as well as the zoo and Ameyoko market which has plenty to offer. Hotel: The hotel is much more of a Western hotel than traditionally Japanese. It is impeccably clean throughout and the staff work exceptionally hard to keep it that way. There is a complimentary breakfast each morning which consists of: salad, soup (varies daily), danishes & toast as well as orange juice and coffee. The hotel also has a laundry facility which is reasonably priced and a few vending machines if you want to eat in your room. The room: There is complimentary wired internet access in the room as well as a television and a fridge. Our room had a shower & bath and a bidet and was a fairly good size as well. The room although slightly on the small side (though I am told fairly large for Tokyo standards) was nicely decorated. The beds were a little bit harder than we were used to but we have slept like logs the whole time we were here. We went to the front desk to ask for softer pillows and they were provided. Staff: The staff are very friendly and helpful here. I have not met a staff member who has fluent English but between my broken basic phrases in Japanese and their English I have had no trouble communicating with them and they have always been a pleasure to interact with. We read the other reviews and found them to be mostly true. The good: -The breakfast is good, and if done right, can hold you over. There was salad, a soup (seaweed, tomato, and some kind of oniony-broth) that rotated everyday, bread, rolls, and creme-filled rolls. There were butter, jam, and eggs, too. To drink they had coffee, tea, water, orange […] juice, and milk. -The hotel is in a VERY quiet location, but pretty centrally located to some metro stops (different companies). More on that if you check a map. It's very close to the Skytrain service which takes you from the airport to UENO in 45 minutes. Pretty awesome. -The hotel is very clean. -The staff was super helpful, friendly, and easy to get to know. It seems that they have the same people working from early morning to late evening, and they seem to rotate the staff through, so that there's always someone familiar there. The bad (though there's not much, and they're not so bad): -The entryway is the smoking area. You will walk through it everyday, but it's not nearly as bad as some of the other reviews would have you believe. -The beds and pillows are super hard and on wheels. In the event of a minor Earthquake (we had 4, one of them a 6.4), your bed will roll around the room a bit. It didn't bother me much, but it did bother my travel partner quite a bit. -The TV was a bit hard to use, but not something that really bothered us, as we were out almost 12 hours/day anyway. The room was a really good size, full-size bathtub, and the free breakfast was a sweet bonus. My only knock is that it is a bit out of the way for my tastes. The hotel is situated in a residential area near a shopping arcade. It allows you to see what a normal neighborhood in Tokyo is like. It is not to far from the Shin-Okachimachi station which only […] serves the Oedo Line. About a 10 minute walk. While the Oedo Line will take you to cool places like Shinjuku, Roppongi, and Yoyogi (Harajuku) ,although it is a long ride from there, it doesn't provide as easy access to local sights like Ueno and Asakusa. In all fairness, I consider anytime I have to change lines in Tokyo a hassle. It was easier to just walk 20 minutes to Ueno Park. As for Asakusa instead of going there directly I took the Oedo Line to Shimbashi to walk around Hama Riyuku park and from there to a boat to Asakusa so I don't know how much of a hassle it is to go from Shin-Okachimachi to Asakusa. I would definitely stay there again and out of the 4 hotels I have stayed in while visiting Tokyo this is the one I would want my parents to stay in. I found that a lot of the rooms I have stayed in would be difficult for older people to move around especially the smaller bathrooms that even have like 6 inches to a foot step just to get into the bathroom. General stay at hotel was good. Rooms were well sized, clean and comfortable. Toilet was clean, functional as expected. Staff were accommodating and helpful. No issue with English. Breakfast, however, was nothing to shout about. Basic if you need something simple. Easy to have a decently priced meal anywhere outside. Prices of meals were not as daunting […] as originally envisaged. Location of hotel to metro line was not great. Takes about 20mins to walk to the nearest JR line - the metro line that takes you to the most attractions. Apart from location, hotel is great. I wanted a hotel near Ueno station as the airport trains stop here so it was only a short taxi ride to the hotel. This proved to be the case. The hotel is good for access - we kept coming accross underground stations ever near the hotel. I recommend getting a full underground map as soon as you can as some maps do not show all the lines. As a consequence […] we ignored the nearest station at first as we didn't know whether it connected to the rest of the network. The hotel room was not large but more than adequate - judging by reviews of other hotels in Tokyo the bed was relatively large. No complaints. The Hotel Villa Fontaine Ueno is conveniently located by the JR Station (about 5 to 8 minutes walk) and by the subway (about 3 minutes walk). There are so many shops and restaurants (Kaiten sushi is our fave) around the JR Station. The walk from the hotel to the JR Station can be done through this 1 street which has so many indoor shops or through the […] neighborhood. The breakfast at the hotel is great. They serve the same breakfast every day (salad, soup, eggs, toast, coffee, OJ) but change the soup daily. We stayed for 5 nights and had breakfast every morning. The room and bathroom are clean. Its not located near UENO station, its about a 20 minute walk to UENO or 1 train station. Its in a local neighborhood, there aren't many restaurants around and not many people around, especially in the evening. Hotel is not on any central streets and if you aren't lucky enough to find someone who speaks a little bit of english then its hard to find. […] In Japan, you can only smoke in dedicated areas and the hotel chose to make the lobby this area so if you have asthma or allergies you're screwed as soon as you walk in. The rooms are small but thats expected in Japan. The staff is friendly although they barely speak english and the room itself was pretty clean. The hotel is very nice and the people are very kindly Only problem is the location because is not near to the citytown but it have a subway near.

The man at the front desk was quite helpful and spoke English. At check-in we asked if it's possible to store the luggage a couple days while we went to Kyoto. Then at check-out 2 days later, he remembered and said said "so I heard you are interested in keeping your luggage here?" without any prompting or questions from us. Impressive memory! There […] are other hotel front desk staff there, but he seems to be there at all hours of the day. The free breakfast consists of water, orange juice, coffee, broth type of soup, salad (lettuce, you can add tomato, cucumber, bacon bits) with different dressings, raisin roll, bread slices, toaster, hard-boiled eggs, and pasta salad. I believe it's available 7:30am to 9:30am M-F, and 7:30am-10am S-S. There are free pants presses on each floor (no ironing board in each room), as well as a laundry facility (but be warned that in August with 80% humidity it takes 1.5 hours for your clothes to dry), a laptop in the lobby from which you can use internet, as well as in-room internet connection (not wifi). The rooms are smaller than USA hotel rooms, the two of us were sometimes falling over each other, and it was difficult to manipulate the luggage sometimes. There are slippers in the rooms, along with a sleeping gown each. Lamp, table, 1 chair, TV, fridge (no freezer), bedside built-into-the-wall alarm clock and light switch. Shower toilet (pretty standard in Japan). Shampoo/conditioner/body wash comes in refillable containers that you cannot take with you. The rooms come with razor, shaving gel, toothbrush + paste x 2, hairbrush, cotton swabs, hair band, and sometimes bath bubbles. (We stayed in a different room once we came back from Kyoto). There are magnets on the doors which you place outside to indicate whether you want linens, etc changed that day, in order to be more environmentally friendly. Lisez la suite

Staff was very helpful when needed. My partner speaks Japanese, but even relying on English wouldn't have been a problem. Rooms are SMALL. We were there during some cold weather, and never could properly figure out the heater. A lot of random button pushing sometimes got it to work, sometimes it turned the A/C on. Other than that - pretty good experience. […] I'd consider staying there again if I were in Tokyo again. 나리타공항과 가깝다는 이유로 우에노에 호텔을 잡았습니다. 공항 왔다갔다 하기에는 편리한 편입니다. 직통 리무진 같은건 없어도 지하철 이용하고 조금 걷게 되면 우에노 게이세이 스카이라이너 역에 도착할 수 가 있어요. 지하철은 오에도선 신오카치마치 역에서 약 3분 정도 걸립니다. 오에도선이 쓰임새가 많아 그런대로 편리했습니다. 그런데 호텔은 개보수가 좀 필요한 상황이더군요. 호텔에 들어가자 마자 이상한 냄새가 나는데 오래된 카펫 때문인지...여튼 안좋은 인상을 줍니다. 단 객실 내부는 청결하고 깨끗한 편이었습니다. 직원들도 친절했구요. 저렴한 가격에 교통편을 우선으로 하시는 분들은 만족할 수 있을 듯 합니다.

La habitacion es pequeña pero suficiente para dormir. Zapatillas, bata para dormir, cuchilla y gel de afeitado, cepillos de dientes, esponja, champu, gel, acondicionador. El personal habla ingles. Disponen de microondas, lavadoras, secadoras.. El desayuno esta bien. A 2 minutos del metro, supermercados en los alrededores y unos 10 minutos a la estacion […] del tren. Las habitaciones del hotel son pequeñas, como casi todas en Japón, la cama bastante dura, con una tele grande y un baño espacioso. Solo añadiría algún armario para poder guardar la ropa. La limpieza de la habitación perfecta y el trato muy amable y sin problemas. Nos enviaron las maletas a nuestro hotel de Kyoto a buen precio y sin problemas. El buffet […] del almuerzo perfecto, había sopa, ensalada, ensaladilla, tostadas, bolleria, mermelada, mantequilla, café, te, leche, zumo de naranaja,...para empezar el día con fuerza. La zona es bastante tranquila, con una parada del metro bastante cerca, que conecta con la línea Yamanote que te lleva a las principales atracciones de la ciudad. Estuvimos muy bien en este hotel! It was a good choice for me to stay in Hotel Villa Fontaine UENO. The room was small but it was really clean and the staff members of the hotel was very nice. The location was really good too. It was very close to the JR station and close to Akihabara. Everything was in walking distance.

Ett bra hotell som kan rekommenderas. Enkel frukost ingår och trådbundet internet. Rent och snyggt. Fin toalett/duch/badkar. Trevlig personal. Allt fungerar. Lite hårda sängar och kuddar. Lite jobbigt att fjärrkontroll till TV och A/C bara hade japanska tecken. Jag skulle gärna vilja haft en översättning till engelska. Nära till Ueno park och affärer. […] Nära till tunnelbanan. VF UENO was a great place to stay in Tokyo, We have stayed there for 5 nights during the trip in Tokyo, My wife and I all liked it very much. Very clean quiet! we can see Tokyo Sky Tree from the window and also see the moon at minnight and sunshine early in the morning. It is very easy & convinent from NRT to VF & to go anywhere by the transportation […] system although it is a little bit far away from the station to VF. 部屋が狭く、特に備え付けのテーブルは物を置いたり書き物をするには小さすぎたが地下鉄もすぐそばにあり、徒歩でアメ横や御徒町にも行けるなど立地条件は最高 スタッフの応対の感じ良さにも大満足です。 機会があればまた次回もこのホテルを利用したい。

posizione molto favorevole a spostamenti in treno, circa 500 metri dalla stazione di ueno. Albergo dotato di internet,piccola lavanderia a pagamento, distributori di bevande fredde e calde. la colazione (se è il primo giorno in japan) ti lascia un tantino insoddisfatto...ma buona.
