Bon rapport qualite/prix.

A recommander
"Best hotel at the Copacabana Beach"
Great service and interior decoration. Best location at the Copacabana Beach. Very nice and quiet rooms. Excellent Wifi Internet access throughout the hotel and a great breakfast! Thank you for the nice stay and good service in your Hotel. See you next time.

"Arena Copacabana - Poor Service & Bad Beds"
The hotel is convenient but service is terrible. JW Mariott had much much better service. Beds are terrible! 2 star level
"Best location on Copacabana and very modern"
A great unknown benefit is that the Arena hotel and its modern reflective glass make it super easy to spot and find. The included breakfast buffet was great. Lots of variety and great fresh tropical fruits made it a big plus to staying here. The staff was all very friendly and helpful (and the front desk spoke English which was nice). The best part […] was really the location. We were a short (~10 min) walk to the metro station that we rode up to Lapa one night. It is a longer walk or a real short cab ride over to SugarLoaf. We walked to Ipanema a few times as well (~45 min walk at a slow leisurely pace). A block behind the hotel there is a drugstore and along the main street there were several small eateries where you could get yourself a nice cheap pizza or patio beer or afternoon ice cream cone. We had a nice patio beer with the locals daily. The room was modern but the bed was a rock like most beds outside of hotels in the US. Good luck finding a fluffy one. The rooftop was really nice. It had great views and we enjoyed popping up there to check things out or to layout sans sand. The pool is really tiny but it's more for cooling off than for actual swimming. If I go back to Rio I would definitely check to see if I could stay at Arena 1st. Lisez la suite
"Good hotel - great location!"
Very nice hotel right at the beach (Copacabana - next to Ipanema). The pool is very small but has an amazing view (of both the beach, Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer) and a nice cafe. Staff are really nice and breakfast is included which was yum! There isn't a coffee maker in the room (which as a coffee addict was a surprise) but there are cafes […] - and a 24 hour big supermarket - a block away. Perfect location - next to beaches, metro, the lake, shops etc. yet very safe. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Also new and clean. Lisez la suite

"Very nice hotell"
I'm a 36 year old man from Norway and have traveled to many countries all over the world. The hotell was fresh and clean and I rented a suite with ocean view and it was fantastic. Everything was very good. If there is something that I could say was negative is that the gym was very little and only one machine for lifting weights, or else 3 treadmills […] and 2 bikes. Internet was expensive, 24 hours for 30 BRL but fast enough for youtube videos. Expensive hotell, but in my opinion its worth it. Lisez la suite

"Nice Hotel in a Great Location"
Comfortable, clean hotel right on Copacabana Beach. A stone's throw from much pricier properties. Everything we wanted. We felt safe and the staff was helpful and responsive. We hope to return!!
"Arena hotel - middle of cpoacabana"
overall the hotel was clean and in a good position if you want to be in Copacabana. breakfast was good and the fruit was really fresh and outstanding. the service from the concierge was NOT all that helpful. we needed to confirm a flight out of Brazil and were told in Australia to confirm this. the concierge would not do this for us - told us to go […] online - we had to pay to use the internet and then of course the instructions were in Portuguese and we still needed help - which they were reluctant to give. Also they were casual about getting us a taxi etc - so service was so,so. Fortunately nothing bad happened to us and the taxis we took were legitimate. Lisez la suite

Great hotell in a fantastic place . Everything was the best all the time
"great location"
the hotel is nice, well manteined and clean. Room not so big but confortable. They don't provide beach service that for the price payd have to be included.
"Beautiful beach hotel in Copacabana"
Very helpful staff, clean and modern, beautiful view from the small rooftop pool area. Great location. Very good buffet breakfast.
"Our 2 days in Rio"
We stayed in Rio for 2 days at the end of Jan 2012. We flew form Iguazu and after our stay we were to go to El Calafate. So this was just a 2 day stay in Rio, to see the beaches. The hotel is conveniently located facing the Copacabana beach and we got our room facing the beach. So we had great view all day. We arrived late at 11pm in Rio but that was […] no problem since the taxi took us to the hotel with no hassels. As we were driving along the beach road it was really crowded with lots of people at such late night. We wanted to eat some dinner since the hotel restaurant was closing. The hotel receptionist mentioned that it was safe to go out and eat in the next block from the hotel. We did that and yes we found the neighborhood crowded with lots of people. The breakfast served is really good. If you are in for street foods, then this is a good place since you get to walk closer to the beach (both Copacabana & Ipanema) and when hungry from walking can eat from any street vendor (evrything is fresh). The proximity of the hotel to the beach is another good point. After spending the whole day in the beach you do not have to worry about your wet clothes beacuse you can easily back to the hotel. Also the rooftop pool is another luxury. If you do not want to go to the beach you can spend time in the pool and enjoy your drinks by lying down in the sun and enjoying the beach view form the roof. The hotel also arranged for our day trip to Rio. The bus picked us up and took us to Christ redeemer, Sugar loaf, Sombrano stadium a little bit of the city tour and so we got to see everything. We were given enough time to watch everything so no rush. The only thing is that you have to pay to get any inetrnet access at their business center. Its not free like other places. Lisez la suite
We stayed at this hotel between 02 Jan 2012 – 07 Jan 2012. I always review hotels on all their merits and this hotel totally disappointed us. We had trouble deciding on which hotel to go for due to the extremely high prices of hotels in Copacabana and the lack of time we expected to spend in the hotel itself the prices did not justify time spent in […] hotel itself (we were looking at the palace and JW Marriot initially). We were sceptical about this hotel due to the varying reviews, and tend not to book hotels which lack consistency, however gave Arena a go. On 01st Jan 2012 we called the hotel and advised them that we were arriving at 12 noon the next day (check in time is 2pm) and whether they could put a priority next to our name to ensure there was a room available as we had a tour to Christ De Redeemer at 2pm. We were arriving from an early flight from Buenos Aires and wanted to ensure we could freshen up prior to this tour. The person attending to this call from the hotel gave us complete confidence that this shouldn’t be a problem and they will have the room ready as they were extremely busy that day and will not be as busy on the 2nd. We arrived on the 2nd just after noon and the hotel staff advised no rooms were available. I explained to them that I thought this would be sorted as per my phone conversation, and the girl at the counter (in her mid to late thirties) interrupted and said “can you not see how busy we are today, how can you expect there to be a room ready when so many guests are checking out”. We kindly asked her whether they had other facilities available where we could freshen up and then she said we could go up to the pool bar area and freshen up there... Be advised that this area is not designed to have a shower – it is an open communal area where there is no privacy and anyone could just walk in if you were in the shower... We then proceeded to wait for our room in the lobby area as they advised us that they will let us know as soon as our Lisez la suite

The location is very Nice and right in front to the beach. Staff extremely nice and helpfull. Rooms are confortable and clean, but a bit too pricey. Probably the newest hotel around the area, I really recommend.

"Across from world famous Copacabana Beach in Rio D"
The front desk staff was excellent. They upgraded our room after we came in late from an early check-in. The rooms are very quiet, even though we were on the second floor. Also, rooms can be darkened for ease of sleep. Cabs are right outside and door man provides assistance in contacts with cabs, etc.
Good hotel, good location, friendly, helpful staff. Exceeded expectations.
excellent location, excellent breakfast(included)staff was helpful and friendly.
"Decent Place"
This is a nice hotel with very nice helpful staff. The only problem was that when I checked out, the front desk staff insisted that I pay for the room even though I booked it through Hotels.com. He said that he had no record of payment. I showed him the email on my iPhone from Hotels.com but he said he had no way to confirm it because the reservation […] department was closed on weekends. After 10 minutes of shouting at each other he, reluctantly called the manager who was away from the hotel. Thirty minutes later, they agreed with me. I would not book this hotel through Hotels.com unless you want to spend your day indoors arguing instead of going to the beach. I speak decent Portugese. The front desk guy did not know it and insulted me several times. Lisez la suite

"We loved it!"
A hotel with a very nice personnel, exellent service, a very good location and safety area. We felt it like home and next time when we come to Rio we will choose this hotel again! NOTA 10!
"Arena Copacabana"
First class hotel--modern-clean and an extremely friendly helpful staff who could not do enough to make my stay a pleasant one.Well located on Copacabana Beach. Drinks are somewhat expensive but this is Rio De Janeiro.
"Excellent hotel near the Beach."
I was very impressed by the hotel and the location right next to beach. The staff were what made it excellent, being very helpful and polite. The only downsides were the expensive internet and the slightly misleading picture of the pool on the roof. However, the views from the rooftop pool bar and pool are excellent and the drinks are great.
"Good Location near Beach"
The location is good near the Copacabana beach. The staff were generally very helpful and polite. The rooftop bar has some stunning views. Only point of possible contention was the pool. The picture is a little misleading. The actual pool is very small and is not an infinity pool! But it's location on the roof is very good. Would stay again.

"Great Hotel in Copacabana and loved the location!"
As a female travelling alone I read many reviews before deciding on this hotel. I cannot say enough couldnt been been happier with my choice. The hotel was very modern, immacutaley kept, very clean, loved my room. What a view of the ocean and nightlife too. Deborah, hotel manager made me feel at home. I luckily got upgraded to an oceanfront my 2 & 3rd […] night~felt so special! I loved the top floor pool, small yes but gorgeous. I had a late flight back to U.S, no issues for bellman to hold my luggage for the day. I got a last day of shopping in sun at poolside. I kept shampoo and soap in my day bag , used ladies shower and changed for my return flight very cool. So many places to shop, eat and drink. Liked the fact that cafes/restaurants had their menus up front so you can see before you choose to sit down. When shopping I recommend you barter with the folks selling items, their not pushy. If you learn one word " Obrigada' (female saying thank you) "Obrigado" ( male version) You will love the smiles you get for saying "Thank you" Tip a few $1's here and there..watch it go a long way. Arriving to hotel asked my transfer driver (Gray Lines..top notch) to stop at a local store. I stocked up on waters /beers/soda's and removed items from the fridge put mine in. All very expensive, only downside of Copacabana. Eat at places a few streets inland, much cheaper!! I experienced no issues of crime nor saw or heard of any. You must do the day tours (Gray line) of Sugar Moutain and statue of Christ it is huge, so worth it. It was very emotional being up there, lukcy to had a sunny day , bring extra batteries for camera. I forgot. You will enjoy this property and great free full breakfast.Go to left side of restaurant and found where the hot food was of eggs, sausage , small quiches..yum, Also had a big array of fruits, cheeses, turkey, ham, breads deserts etc..even a panini machine. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did! I will be back!!! Lisez la suite
"Arena in Copacabanana is top notch!"
We stayed for one week in November 2011 and had a wonderful time: perfect location, warm staff, delicious breakfast, gorgeous rooftop pool and gym. Great hotel!
"Arena Copacabana"
Arena copacabana while located in a great location on copacabana beach and is a new hotel and modern would not recommend to stay for a number of reasons. Bed is rock hard and very hard to get a good nights sleep on, view was to a brick wall on a surrounding apartment, though an expensive room will give you a ocean view, poor breakfast and poor quality […] food, poor service and house keeping in one instance we asked for pillows 5 times before we got them!! The staff at the front also changed the prices on tours from asking one staff member to the next which my partner got very upset about!!!! The only good thing was that we got an extended checkout to 3 pm. I would avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!! Lisez la suite
"Arena Copacabana"
This is a modern and comfortable hotel well situated in the centre of Copacabana beach area and very handy for shops. As a value for money destination it holds up very well in comparison to some of the more luxurious and considerably more expensive Copacabana hotels. It has a fine restaurant, with good food at reasonable prices and service and attention […] is good although few staff speak good English. Helpings are very generous indeed and a bit too generous for our liking.Generally speaking the hotel staff try very hard indeed to please and are successful in doing so although we had a few issues concerning the misplacement of of our baggage in the hotel due to an inability to follow laid down procedures.Given the warnings about safety in Rio we were disappointed after arriving at the hotel late after 15 hours travelling and following the non arrival of our baggage at Rio airport to be denied basic facilities at reception when were directed to go out in a strange city to a nearby supermarket to purchase these items. Even the provision of such facilities as we requested(toothbrush, toothpaste etc) at cost would be a reasonable step by hotel management to enhance customer service. First impressions really do count. Overall however we were well satisfied with our two night stay at this hotel and would be happy to recommend it to others. Lisez la suite
"New, clean, and friendly in the heart of Copa"
My wife and I stayed at the Arena for 5 nights recently and were very pleased. The rooms have a great view of Copacabana beach and the rooftop bar and pool is even better. The rooms seemed new, were well maintained, and the food in the Fennel restaurant was pretty good for hotel food. The property is well located on the beach about halfway between the […] Copacabana Palace and the JW Marriot--which are the two most expensive hotels in Copa. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke pretty good English. My only complaint was that the beds were a little hard--but I suppose that's a matter of preference. There are a lot of older hotels in Copacabana, this one stands out for its new-ness. We would definitely stay here again. Lisez la suite
Hotel was clean, staff was helpful. room was a bit small, but we were only passing through, breakfast was good. short walk to beach. Guys be sure to check out the Balcany Bar Cafe, during the evening. enjoy!!
"Really decent hotel"
I didn't love this hotel, which I sortof expect at the price, but considering how expensive Rio is, I found this hotel to be well above average for the price range in everyday- so that is actually saying alot. Rooms tend to be sparse in Rio, which is why I didn't love the room, I can't think of any that I have loved in Rio- there is just not much to […] love, but I have zero complaints. It was everything I needed and it was quality and it was clean and the location is great, of course. So I would recommend this hotel to anyone going for business or pleasure. Lisez la suite
"Arena Copacabana: grat location at a great price"
The location, right on the copacabana beach is great. The price through hotels.com was less than half of the rack price and alot cheaper than many other hotels in less-than-ideal-locations. Very friendly service
"Beautiful Hotel, Excellant location, spectacular v"
I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff were professional and courteous. The room was emaculate and a very comfortable stay. For those that have never been to Rio, there is no hotel that is right on the beach. No matter where you stay you have to cross the Avenue Atlantico which is not a big deal. The Arena was a close to the beach as your going […] to get with all the hotels located on the avenue. Yes you are going to pay a little more for this hotel but I thought it was price in accordance with the accomadations. If you arrive early before check in they are more then happy to accept you bags until check in, this is the same on check out as well since most flights leave in the evening. They have a wonderful hot and cold breakfast that was included with the room. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. Again, I highly recommend the Arena and I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed mine. I have been home for 3 days and I am already planning my trip back. Darrell Lisez la suite
"Arena Hotel"
I enjoyed my brief stay at the Arena. The best part was the people who were very helpful, particularly to someone like me who doesn't speak much Portuguese. That being said, I am traveling here on business, and have stayed in several hotels on the Copacabana beach "strip." The Arena isn't the greatest for those of us here on business. The rooms are […] somewhat small. The paid-for internet service was a bit spotty (had one outage for several hours). There aren't some amenities that business travelers like, such as ironing board and irons. I personally think the Marriott down the street is a better choice for business travelers, though with its sterility and huge number of Americans, you could be in just about any American city, not Rio. If I were on vacation, I would choose the Arena as it is more affordable (at least for Rio) and a bit more authentic in its Rio charm. Lisez la suite
"Hotel right on Copabana - service was excellent"
This hotel has an amazing location, it's right on Copabana beach. There is an amazing view from the top floor where there is a pool. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We noticed one of the pillow cases had a small black stain, except that no complaints. The one thing that was amazing was their service. We had to travel to Argentina before […] finishing our trip in Rio at this hotel. Because of luggage weight limitation we had left some luggage at the hotel to store for us for a week. They had no problems doing it, and did it free of charge. We then had problems on the day of the check-out with our car pick up service that we needed to sort out and because of some flight delays didn't get to see too much of Rio. We asked for an extended check-out time so we can get back in time from our last minute sightseeing and sort the car problems out. Reception really helped and extended our room check out to 5:00 pm, which is well beyond their noon check out time (for free) understanding the difficulties we were experiencing on our travel plans and really tried to do anything they could to make our stay better. Because of this, we made the best out of limited time spent in Rio. Lisez la suite

I was in Rio for work and had the misfortune of the airline company losing my luggage. Deborah at the front desk was above and beyond in keeping me calm and helping me call the airline company...in fact every one at the front desk was great.
