Lemontree Oceanfront Cottages - Rincón

I stayed in the Papaya Suite with a kitchen and it was like having our own spacious apartment. Balcony is huge. There is a communal grill. The beach couldn't be closer. It's small, private and pelicans abound swooping for fish all day. They're great to watch. The inn's owners live in one of the units so they are always around and know all the local […] tips. The space is more of a condo type rental than a hotel per se: towels are replaced, beds made, and floor swept daily, but the rest is up to you. You need a car because this area is pretty spread out, but it has easy access to the surfer beaches up and down the coast. Appreciated the touches to the room like flatscreen tv, dvd player, cable and ice already made in the fridge. More than enough space for a family to stay and spread out over several couches, the deck chairs and bedroom. I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into bringing his whole company here to spread out in the units on a retreat! Loved this place. Lisez la suite

I loved the room being literally right on the water and the Owners were fantastic and helpful. The Mango Room was huge and comfortable. We cooked several meals there and had every kitchen gadget that we needed, except for a good sharp knife. (We are kind of knife snobs though.) The location was out of the way enough to be relaxing, but close enough […] to town to reach everything that we needed including food, activities, banks... The Lemontree has a number of 'beach houses' in it's portfolio. My Wife and I stayed in the Papaya Suite which was a one bedroom, lounge and kitchen area suite. It was more than big enough for us and was kitted out functionally for you to prepare your own meals, etc. The main attraction here is the beachfront nature of the property - you are right there. […] Our suite had a massive porch area overlooking the beach - the waves lapping at the wall beneath make for a beautifully relaxing noise. We sat out there watching the sunsets and the Pelicans dive-bombing the sardines in the blue waves of the Caribbean - stunning! The area the Lemontree is in means that you will definitely need a car to travel around. It's slightly off the beaten track but is accessible by car to nearby grocery stores within 5-10 minutes. What kept us from leaving was the amazing views and the sounds of the waves of the ocean. From our terrace, we were able to see the sunrise and then the sunset. We were very disappointed in the accomodations. Owners didn't seem to care about us as a guest. No one was on premises to greet me when I arrived. If you like to hear the waves lap and you like to swim in a relaxed environment in an excellent swimming beach......if you like to hang out and watch the ocean from your balcony.....if you like room to spread your stuff out and a place to cook some meals much like at home.....this is the place for you. The tropical setting and plants around the cottages […] were varied and wonderful. The surrounding areas of Rincon, Mayaguez, and Cabo Rojo provide many interesting places to sightsee and visit when you get bored with staying in your wonderful cottage. It's about a 3 hr trip from San Juan on the freeway in a rented car which you'll want to have when you are staying at the Lemmontree so you can go to restaurants and the store. My stay was very pleasant. The cottage was fully-equipped with kitchen appliances and furnishings that would be perfect for longer stays and families who like to cook at house. The rooms are cozy and quiet and you can easily fall asleep to the ocean sounds. I went with my girlfriend and prefer to partake in more active activities and go out for meals, […] therefore, we didn't make use of the kitchen. We are cat lovers, so we feel in love with their on-site "Kitty". The cleaning lady came everyday and did a great job. The beach was public and was just a staircase away. We were able to walk along the beach and soak up the sun and into a resort area to enjoy their jet skis and outdoor bars. We also made use of the lovely balcony that overlooked the ocean and at night was filled with stars that we would never see in New York. The Lemontree was PERFECT for our little family. My husband and I were able to enjoy the spacious balcony and living area listening to the waves and looking at the stars while our 10 month old daughter slept in the bedroom. It was a great way to have the comforts of home for her and still enjoy a romantic vacation for us. This is a delightful Inn located directly on the beach in Rincon. The one bedroom unit was fully equipped including salt and pepper! The large porch overlooking the ocean was a delight. The bed was comfortable, the unit spotless and one can truly feel at one with nature here. The sound of the waves lapping at your doorstep, the birds singing away, beautifyl […] sunrises and sunsets, long walks on the beach and pleasant swims make this a great hide away. The gracious hosts, Bella Jane and Todd who are knowledgeable and friendly made us feel at home. In face, we came for 3 days and stayed for 5. Our only lament was that we did not have more time. Resently stayed here with my girlfriend 3/2012. Was exacty what we were looking for. Quiet, clean, laid back, low key. Located south of all the action in Rincon. Recommend a rental car, cab rides are $25-$30 ea. way. Although we did walk to Rincon along the beach and back roads one day, it took all day and we took a cab back after much needed cervesas […] at Villa Confri beach bar, shopping and dinner on the sidewalk at Ponco Villas in Ricon that night. Take a cab to Tamboo, the Lazy Parrot( Ray Mac live on the bongos Wed. nites, cool stuff), and the surf beaches for night life. If you walk out the front gate, there are two or three restaurants up the hill to the right that we walked to at night with no trouble and the food was ok. Local flavor with regards to food and people. We stayed in the Coco room which is top left looking from the beach. Great sunrises and the lights of Mayaguez at night. Was very quiet there when we stayed, never heard a radio or T.V. the whole time, only the sound of the surf lapping the beach. Kitchenetts were great for making poached eggs on english muffins with fresh mangos and alvacados for breakfast. Sitting right on the roadside out front, it is not a busy road, so the noise is not overbearing, the surf below the awesome porches is louder! If your looking for party central, this may not be for you. If your looking for a quiet, clean, quaint home base for when you return from your adventures out and about this is for you. There was no beach on which to walk, but a beach was advertised. In addition, no comfortable seating was available in the kitchen/TV room, just a dilapidated sofa. The tile in the shower was not clean, and the noise of the traffic coming off the hill on Road 429 was thundering. I left after the first night, telling Bella, the owner, that I was unhappy […] because there was no beach on which to walk. Her husband asked where I had different accommodations, and I told him Rincon by the Seas, which was close by. He told me that he had photographs displayed there and that I would "be comfortable there." He was right. There was plenty of sandy beach on which to walk! Lemontree is located in one of the most beautiful area in PR. Is excellent to enjoy the ocean, relief your stress or simply disconnect from the world. The cottage definitely lived up to his advertising message. It's right on the beach, but the beach didn't seem swimmable. There seemed to be a way to get down to the beach, but we didn't bother to find out how. The hotel amenities were sufficient. Big terrace facing the water is a real treat. On the down sides, I found the bed to be too soft and the […] pillows too high. I didn't get good sleep on all those few nights we were there. The sheet covering the bed was quite rough to the skin. The Lemon Tree is a west coast gem. The hosts were very freindy and helpful. The beach was clean and private as a public beach can be, and a resort with a swim up bar within walking distance. The pelicans entertained us diving for food right off the balcony in front of us, spitting distance to the water.

My husband and I, on our recent trip stayed at the Lemontree oceanfront cottages. Our hosts were wonderful people who know the area very well. They spoke both English and Spanish. and were extremely helpful. We went to see migrating whales on the suggestion of the owners and were rewarding by seeing orcas migrating through. A truly spectacular sight. […] The cottages are kept very clean and bright. And the ocean could not get much closer, as we sat on our deck it felt as though you were on a ship at sea. the hotel was on a beach, i mean, ON THE BEACH, where there were hardly any people and there was great swimming and beachglass gathering. we ate on our balcony quite a bit enjoying only the sound of the ocean. we had an ant problem but took care of it ourselves the first day and our mini fridge got super hot so we moved it away from the wall but mostly […] the room was even better then we had imagined. it is a bit far from the night scene spot if you are younger and want more of a trendy crowd but if you have a rental car it won't matter a bit. when we arrived super early our first day, we were allowed to check in hours ahead of time which we really appreciated after the early flight. we also loved loved the little kitty that would join us on the balcony every day. : ) if you want a romantic secluded cottage with an amazing view and great staff - lemontree is it! We went to visit the Lighthouse in Rincon which was really near, we also went to Mayaguez Zoo, the Lighthouse in Cabo Rojo and other beautiful sights nearby. Este pequeño complejo de apartamentos está justo pegado a la playa. Sus instalaciones están bien y es un lugar muy tranquilo y romantico. Está muy bien equipado y el dueño, que vive en el mismo complejo, es muy agradable. Hay que coger el coche para ir a todas partes, pero no está muy lejos de las principales zonas de interés de Rincón.
