Hôtel très bien situé dans le cœur de Lisbonne ce qui permet de visiter à pied la Baixa, le Barrio Alto, le chateau San Jorge et Alfama et de prendre très facilement le train (gare à 100 m) pour rejoindre Sintra et Queluz. Une isolation de qualité (double-vitrage) fait que nous ne sommes pas genés par les bruits de la rue. Le bar et le petit-déjeuner […] (copieux et varié) sont sur la terrasse ce qui permet de voir Lisonne. Dommage que l'orientation du batiment ne donne pas sur le Tage.. La chambre est très confortable avec beaucoup d'équipements de rangement. Nous avons toutefois regretté qu'il n'y ait pas un petit coin salon avec un ou deux fauteuils pour pouvoir s'assoir et se reposer. La salle de bain est très bien agencée avec une douche très agréable. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas eu la place de mettre une baignoire en plus. Location is convenient to main attraction, little walking distance to main shopping area. Need ask for room facing street as the low floors with inside view is too dark n not worth the price paid. Room lighting too dark for any work to bd done. Only good for walk in n sleep. Breakfast area on top floor is superb.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Lisbon, on Rossio Square, closer to everything. We walked to the Barrio Alta, Alfama, Praca Commercio, Liberdad. And we caught the red sightseeing bus right from Rossio, perfect to get lay of the land, so we'd have an idea of places we'd want to revisit, (i.e. Belem). The moment we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. Check in was easy, organized and quick. The room is new, clean and modern. The shower is one of the best we've ever had in Europe. What I loved most about this hotel is that they actually have a very comfortable, true queen sized bed, not two twins pushed together! […] What I didn't like about the room was the lighting, very dim. The breakfast buffet is very good, offering a good selection of breakfast items. I would also reccommend going up to the restaurant for cocktails in the evening. I don't think you could ask for a better location while vacationing in Lisbon. The hotel is right around the corner from a street lined with restaurants, cafes and shops. It's also across the street from the Rossio train station. If you need a taxi, the hotel will be happy to call for one or you could just walk a short block to the taxi stand. The walkways of Lisbon are paved with tiles that tend to be slippery, especially when wet. I suggest getting a good pair of rubber soled shoes for your walks up and down the hills of the city. First off, the staff provided excellent and friendly service. Although we arrived well before our check-in time, we were welcomed by the very efficient and friendly Julia who arranged to hold our luggage, and provided us with a quick tour of the hotel. Julia offered us to partake in the fine, breakfast buffet, even though it really wasn't in effect […] for us until the following morning. Our room was quite small (not even a comfortable side chair to sit in), so we were glad that we had paid for an upgrade, otherwise I can't imagine. That being said, Lisbon is so beautiful (this was our 6th or 7th visit to Lisbon, but our first stay at the Altis Avenida), we certainly did not spend much time in the room. The view from our window provided us with a very pleasant view of the Restauradores square. The morning breakfast buffet was on their top floor, with a terrace. Every day we were sat outside and enjoyed the breathtaking view. The buffet (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, rolls and pastries, yogurt, cereal, etc) was very good but did not vary over the 6 days there. The breakfast staff was very pleasant and attentive. It would be nice if there were an exercise or work-out room available. Location is excellent for walking to most of the tourist spots and many fine restaurants are all around. This is a "boutique style" hotel, apparently two years old. The location is perfect, close to the centre of Lisbon and with a Metro station immediately outside. Good points: our 6th floor room was immaculate, with all the little extras one would expect (slippers, robes, toiletries, chocolate on your pillow at night, etc). Great restaurant on the top […] floor, with a terrace, with very good quality food at dinner (you know the kind of thing: amuse bouches etc, decent choice of wine) but quite relaxed and unstuffy. Reception staff were generally very attentive (especially one chap - Ricardo I think his name was - who went out of his way to help). WiFi worked well. The only disappointing bit was breakfast. Getting your coffee cup filled was never easy and some of the staff seemed to prefer to stand behind the bar chatting to each other rather than serving. The buffet was adequate, but not outstanding.The hotel was not particularly busy at this time of the year, so I would worry about the restaurant's capacity to cope at breakfast if the place was full. It has a good location, literally on top of a metro station, across the street from an airport bus stop, and around the corner from Rossio Square. I had a single room with a nice view of Restauradores Plaza, and was surprised to find a large room with a king-sized bed. Since […] my suitcase spent a couple of extra days in London, I was also pleased to find a robe and slippers. The room was also very quiet. The bathroom boasted one of the best showers I've found in a hotel -- both an overhead and hand-held shower, with separate controls so you can have them on at the same time. Once you've mastered the controls (separate volume controls for bath and each showerhead, and one temperature control that controls all three), you'll have an excellent shower. The facilities include a very good rooftop restaurant/bar, where, either inside or outside, you can get breakfast, a snack from the bar menu, or a full lunch or dinner. I didn't find the prices out of line for the area. Room service is also available. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a few hot choices, a large cold buffet, and fresh-squeezed orange juice.
