Good place to stay in Mong Kok. Hotel overall is good. The breakfast is just OK though. In-room Wifi is not free depending of the kind of room you get but is always free at the loby. Rooms are clean and comfortable but small (Normal in HK).

A propos de notre séjour à HK. l'Hotel SALISBURY que ns avions réservé par vos soins était parfait. Situation très pratique pour visiter HK. A proximité de toutes sortes de transports. Lachambre très confortable avec une vue très agréable. Quant aux petits déjeuners, c'était parfait, buffet varié bon et à volonté. J'y retournerai avec plaisir. Hotel à recommander. Remerciements et sincères salutations.

Début difficile car nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 sur le site et... il n'y a pas de chambre pour 4 dans cet hôtel ! Après beaucoup de parlementations nous avons finalement obtenu une suite pour le même prix. Bon acueil donc pour cet hôtel moderne et confortable.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Les prestations sont très bien! : rien à redire concernant la propreté, le confort, les services... Seul bémol, cet hotel est situé loin des principaux centres d'intérêt et mode de transport. "L Hotel Island South Aberdeen: un peu loin de tout"
Belle chambre avec vue sur la colline (la vue sur la ville doit être mieux), on est au calme en hauteur (35 è étage pour nous). Le quartier est par contre peu agréable. Il m'a fallut un peu de temps pour reconnaître le building dont j'avais la photo, marchant sur une artère très fréquenté, peu agréable et assez étroite. "Hôtel Island South à Hong Kong"
Pas de chambre simple avec grand lit mais 2 lits simples, vraiment très désagréable lorsque l'on voyage avec sa petite amie. Séjour de 4 nuits, ils ont prétexté que tout est complet pour 4 nuits, alors qu'il y avait des départs tous les jours. Impossible d'avoir la chambre voulue. De plus, l'hôtel est loin de tout, pas de station de métro proche, il […] vous faudra prendre le taxi pour vous déplacer, au moins jusqu'au métro. C'est donc un coût supplémentaire à prendre en compte lors de votre réservation. Je n'ai pas non plus aimé le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de douche dans la chambre, mais une baignoire. Pour le point positif, l'hôtel est neuf et propre. La décoration est moderne, ce que j'apprécie particulièrement, aimant les meubles design. Dans l'ensemble c'est donc une note moyenne que j'attribue à cet hôtel, mais vu les prix de Hong Kong, le rapport qualité prix est plutôt bon, ce prix peut surtout être fait par le fait que l'hôtel est loin de tout, donc le terrain coûte également moins cher à l'achat. "Amazing Value"
Have stayed here twice now, once last May and again a week ago and we have loved it. Both times our room has been immaculately clean and the beds are so comfortable it's very easy to get a good nights sleep. It is a bit out of the way and away from the hustle and bustle of the city so it's great for those looking for somewhere quiet to relax at the […] end of the day. It's very easy to get to and from the city with a free shuttle bus running 1 - 2 times an hour from the hotel to Central station. They run from about 7am until late and, unless it is rush hour it only takes around 12 minutes. It also stops at Ocean Park during the day. If you don't want to wait for the bus there are a large amount of taxis in Hong Kong which are very affordable. The staff are all very helpful and polite and check in was a breeze. The concierge is located in the car park and on arrival will take your luggage to your room. We ordered room service during our stay and the food is delicious and a decent price. There is a restaurant onsite but we didn't visit it on this occasion. If you are bothered about having a nice view I'd recommend maybe paying a little extra for the hill view rooms. We had a city view and you can see a massive building site on that side but it didn't bother us one bit. I can see this being our Hotel of choice on all our future visits to Hong Kong! Good nice big room for HK. Close to Ocean Park 15 min walk. Bus stop in front to go to Causeway Bay. Hotel shuttle hourly but only a 28 seater bus and get filled up quickly. We travelled to Hong Kong with our four children and had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Whilst it was a little out of the way, it was within walking distance of Ocean Park, which delighted our four children! And the bus service provided by the hotel was excellent - just make sure that […] you are down early for the bus, as it does fill up quickly! Only downside that we noticed when we were leaving was that there was nowhere to sit and wait for our taxi. We had checked out earlier in the day, came back to collect our luggage and there literally was nowhere to wait - unless we wanted to go to the restaurant and eat. I was on a trip which required me to be at the jockey club early in the morning. This hotel was perfect for that purpose - only takes a leisurely 5-10 minutes walk to reach the jockey club. However, apart from this, there's probably no other reason to choose a hotel in this location. There's absolutely nothing decent nearby to eat / shop / see, unless […] you fancy being near Ocean Park (hotel provides complimentary shuttle bus). There's an esso and 7-eleven across Wong Chuk Hand road.. but that's probably as much civilisation as you're gonna get without vehicular transport. To its credit, the hotel itself is well maintained and the rooms are relatively spacious. Comfortable bed and pillows. Definitely clean. Sound insulation not the best.. so you can hear noisy chatter from the corridor once in a while, and you know when your neighbour is running the tap. Hotel gym is decent sized with fair range of machines. You can forget about the pool or poolside lounging.. it's there just so that they can claim to have a "swimming pool".. I estimate the length to be 10 metres only. Pricing is competitive to make up for their lousy location (do take into account taxi fares to get yourself to civilisation though). Hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to/fro airport express terminal at Hong Kong station, so you can purchase a 2-way train ticket when you arrive at HKIA. Stay for 5 nights. As the duration includes New Years Day, the room tariff is reasonably affordable as compare to most hotels during that period, which had me choose this hotel. No regrets. Location is not of the best but they do have shuttle service taking you to & fro of MTR Hong Kong station. Room is decently huge as compare to those in downtown. Hi, if you have a cold season then WHY not to make HEATING MODE available in the aircond in the room? It has COOLING, VENTILATION but no HEATING. This is -35C in a place I live now but I managed to get cold just a week ago having +15C outside and +18C in room in your hotel in HK just a week ago! Your location is sweet relatively to awesome shuttle […] bus service and very clean environment but this is industrial area still, so why not to host a couple of ATM's and convenient store like 7-eleven in your building? MTN is going to open their stations around in two years only, so you have to fill up your rooms somehow, yeah? And yeah I know that life and everything is expensive in HK, so hotels are... and I also know this is normal to vary the price for rooms relatively to the market demand, i.e. it might be higher for the high season. Kind of norm but, I am disagreed this is ok to have same room for the 2.5 price difference within one week time frame and for the single customer just because it is covering the New Year date. I don't really care how common is that but this is an example of very bad marketing. Not essential but sort of normal to expect some freebies while living in hotel during the holidays. Not a word from the hotel staff, no TV in the world-most common languages. If someone would ask me to rate staff separately, there should be cleaners nominated for bonus, all receptionists putted to training but tall guy from P4 should be hotel manager, that is for sure. This is a wonderful hotel nestled deep in the heart of nothing. Literally, there is nothing to do and nowhere to eat in the immediate vicinity. The hotel runs a shuttle that we tried to get on three different occasions but with no luck due to crowd size. Great overall! The hotel shuttle is very conveinant with stops and pickups at airport express train service and attractions. The buffet is very good. We are from Kansas and if my wife liked the food and cleanliness its all good. Public transportation is very easy to use from the hotel. We caught the # 75 bus and sat back and enjoyed the ride to central […] bus station where you can walk to the Star Ferry to go over to the Kowloon side. We also walked from the Ferry to the airport express train station and caught the hotel shuttle back to the hotel. The hotel staff is very kind and more than willing to help. "Hidden gem if you dont mind a shuttle to centre"
I travelled to Hong Kong for a week with my wife and 2 kids. We took a chance with L'hotel island south which looked like great value for the quality of the hotel. While it is located on the south side of the island, it is actually very convenient as the hotel runs a regular shuttle to the centre. It was absolutely fantastic. So if you are worried about […] location you don't need to. Yes you won't be in the centre but actually after spending a whole day in the middle of crowds and lights and cars, coming back to the quiet side of the island was quite good. We also took the shuttle back from pre-specific pick up points at the central stations which was quite easy. The hotel itself is quite new (2 years old only) and hence has all the things you would get in a new hotel. The rooms are big, quite beautifully appointed and generally comfortable. The room was taken care of everyday. Ask for a high floor if you can - the views must be a lot better. There was no breakfast included and we just used to get something outside. The restaurant on site was not just ok and by hong kong standards felt a bit expensive. We ate outside the hotel every day. The hotel is also great to get to Ocean Park (you can walk or take the hotel's shuttle) and for places like Stanley. The pool was ok - water was somewhat cold. All in all, I would say that if you not too stuck up about your location, and are looking for good value for money for only a slight compromise on location, this is a brilliant hotel.
