Hollywood Historic Hotel - Los Angeles

Hotel très bien situé, pas loin d'Hollywood boulevard, chambre correct avec un petit reproche sur l'insonorisation car on entend quand même pas mal les voitures... mais pour une nuit c'était convenable !

Hotel avec un bon potentiel (beauté du bâtiment, emplacement, parking...) mais l'intérieur laisse vraiment a désirer. Chambre sans confort (pas de déco, de chauffage, ou de couverture sup.), bruyante, et wifi+TV qui fonctionne très mal... rajouté à ça un staff qui s'en lave les mains... Un motel de chaîne fera bien mieux l'affaire à notre avis...

Nous avons suivi les avis dejà déposés et nous avons eu raison. Très bon hotel typique, vieilles photos de cinéma au murs, décoration classique. Très bien situé dans le quartier de Hollywood (si on a une voiture) mais y'a aussi le bus au pied de l'hotel. Pas de double vitrages mais sinon pas trop bruyant. Personnel agréable et serviable. L'hôtel est bien situé mais mieux avoir une voiture. Hôtel un peu vieillissant mais ça fait partie de son charme. Parking gratuit.

Pour y aller il faudrait être payé et ,on le contraire: tout est si vétuste que dans la baignoire dont l email s arrache, ils ont place un tapis de bain pour faire bonne mesure. Ascenseur hs et aucune chambre en rez de chaussée, simple vitrage et exposition sur un angle très fréquente.. Tout y est affreux.

le batiment en lui même vaut le détour car il s'agit d'un ancien hotel à l'architecture interessante. cependant, il n'y a pas de double vitrage donc on entend très bien les bruits de la rue. l'hotel qui comprend plusieurs étages est dépourvu d'ascenseur. et les escaliers sont très raides. nous sommes restés 2 nuits mais la chambre n'a pas été faite […] le second jour, ni les serviettes changées ni le lit fait. Je n'ai passé qu'une nuit dans cet hotel, mais qu'elle souvenir. Nous sommes arrivés très tot le matin, environ 7h30 8h après une nuit sans dormir, et a 9h30 nous faisions notre check in.(et une sieste après une nuit dans le bus). Le quartier est moche a souhait, mais en arrivant devant l'hotel, nous étions sur que ca ne pouvait aps être le notre, tellement […] mignon et qui semble si luxueux... et bien si. Le personnel a été gentil comme jamais. Le check in avancé, la garde de nos bagages, ils nous ont en outre indiqué tout pour nous occuper en attendant le check in(aller prendre un petit dejeuné a dennys pas trop loin) et les directions vers les attractions locales et les transports en commun. J'ai du insisté pour lui laisser un tips !!! incroyable. La chambre en elle même était géniale, sous le toit, bien décoré comme les chambres de chateaux en Europe, et avec une vue sur le signe hollywood. Seul point négatif de cet hotel, l'accés un peu dur depuis les transports en commun avec les changements a répétitions, mais on a réussi a s'en sortir. C'est surement plus simple avec une voiture. If you like indoor outdoor carpeting that is ripped at the seams, teeny tiny pieces of soap, thin sheets and towels, fraying curtains and bedspreads irons attached to the wall so you have to iron in the closet and hangars that are not removable even at the bottom then, this place is for you. The employees were very nice but helpless. I asked for two […] more pillows (it was a king sized bed and there were only four single bed sized pillows on it-- needed two more to cover the bed) and they said the hotel is fully booked so we don't have any extra pillows. The room was fairly clean although toothpaste was not cleaned out of the sink and hair was left in the tub during our stay. It served its purpose, but the smell is overwhelming!! My Friend n i had to go to buy air freshner n fabreeze still that only help very little.. The rug n curtains are old so allergies definitely kicked in..

The Historic Hollywood Hotel presents a great atmosphere of old-time star photos lining the walls and an overall welcoming feeling. The rooms are just basic. Overall Is A Good experiences, lift is working :). The only 2 things i can find issue with is the placing of the toilet bowl in my room, no place to place my leg. The hotel was clean and nice. The interior is as it would be back in 50s. It's basic as for 50s but comfortable and clean. We've had room on the european first floor (one above the ground floor) overlooking street. As one can expect it might get noisy on such street and taking into account that windows are in the old style (not much accoustic issolation) […] it gets noisy in the room to. The street is not busy during night hours so it did not cause any sleep problems (I'm very sensitive to it as live normally in very quiet area). In the morning we've had surprise as we've noticed that above the street and other buildings we've spotted the Hollywood sign! That was great. There was not breakfast at the hotel however they do recommend restaurant next door. There was plenty of paring spaces at least at the time we've arrived. Neighborhood is rated at 3, as you'll have to drive everywhere and it's not at all near any touristic attractions. Lisez la suite

The Hollywood Historic exudes "the old Hollywood" groove. With a room on the street side you get an unfettered view of the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park Observatory. The room is spartan in its amenities but very clean and comfortable. I will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for the Hollywood Half Marathon and the location was just a few minutes from the start line. The hotel staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The only thing good about this hotel was the front desk manager and parking. Pillows hard as rocks, a platform bed that squeaked every time you moved. Curtains that did nothing to keep out the parking lot lights. I have stayed at motel 6's that were more comfortable.

We stayed here while seeing a show at a club nearby. We spent little time in our room, which was comfortable enough but nothing fancy. We did appreciate the ample free parking and the front desk person who checked us in was really nice.

It's cute! It's better than the other hotel I stayed it that had "Historic" in its name. The hotel is clean and in an amazing location close to funky clothing shops on Melrose and delicious food (Frida's Tacos on Melrose!) I just spent 5 days in this hotel and was pleased. The location is great, parking is ample and the price was right. The hotel for SURE needs a renovation. The corner rooms are bigger but have LOTS of street noise...I'm from the city...didn't bother me one bit. If you want quiet....ask for a room on the back side.

The hotel is a perfect place to meet up for a romantic getaway, near a lot of what the city has to offer.
