Nice place to stay for a good price....

My friend and I stayed in the Atlantica building's 2 bedroom Ocean Front condo. The view was amazing, the condo had plenty of living space and spacious bedrooms. The only downfall was that an off-duty maid came into our room while were on the beach and stole my friend's cash. After reporting this the hotel staff checked the scans on our room and found […] that this maid came in AFTER we had already been visted by another maid. Per hotel staff, we filed a police report. Eventually the General Manager of the hotel refunded my friend her money so all's well that ends well. Lisez la suite

Sunday thru Friday,Bed got changed 1 time, ask for towels 3 times finally went to front desk 2 times to pickup towels, killed 3 small bugs,no safety latch on door, put towels on floor ,towels got black from dirty floor,ask for elevator down button to be fixed on 7th floor (bare wires showing) 3 times and finally showed too mgr and he got it fixed.bathroom […] on 1 st floor need door closure fixed , soap disp, need fixed. room was not cleaned well if at all, locks were broken on the doors, room keys didn't work, only thing good was the gentelmen at the front desk was extremely nice

Not the nicest on the strip but u definitely get what u pay 4 the hotel is walking distance 2 many attractions including the skywheel and pavilion. Elevator jerks 3 times before the final stop the 1st time I rode it it scared me but I after knowing what to expect I was fine

This hotel is not worth stopping for. The rooms are dirty and electrical outlets were hanging from wall.

Overall our stay was nice. The room was not as clean as I expected it to be and the frig. Kept getting water in the bottom. Also the elavators need some work. Our key cards kept deactivating on us. The view of the ocean was wonderful however and the staff was all very pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.

This place is terrible it is dirty and the smell is so gross! It smells like vomit and urine..the rooms are old and dirty! The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the rooms next door. If you are on a budget and have to stay here...stay home!

Walking distance to Boardwalk, shops, and few restaurants.

Stayed here for spring break. I was there with my daughter and a friend of hers. Hotel was right on the beach, staff very friendly and helpfull. Short walk or drive to other beach attractions. Will pick this hotel everytime I go to the beach!

The biggest issue was room service they either did not show up on request or showed up late evening when we put the notice on the door in the morning. The condos are nice beds a little hard and blankets heavy with no other option just the cover. View and room condition are in really good condition. Carpets and tile also good. Over all the stay was not too bad we added this day and could not get the condo for the night. I would give a 5 to the condo side but the hotel side we had 5 different staff members come in during the move trying to get into to our room. It made it impossible to relax and two did not even knock. One of the two had an attitude that they hadn't been told […] we were in the room like we could control the commincation in the hotel. We went to st pats fest, so location was perfect, we had ocean front from, great. No shower curtain and my husband almost busted his tail, we didn't mention to desk as our time was important to us and didn't want to have to deal with waiting for anything. It was clean just run down, it is Myrtle beach after all. Price was perfect so at least it was […] inexpensive. I would stay here again fir st pats but that's the only time!! Lisez la suite

This motel was definitly worth what I paid. The location was Great. The room was nice sized and staff helpful.

Housekeepers were not friendly but everyone else was. The location was perfect cause we could walk to the boardwalk. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Rm# 524 -- The balcony door was so far out of alginment that you had to slam it each time it was closed which I'm sure was enjoyed by everyone. The bathroom had a piece of sheetrock missing behind the door, which was growing mold. The cleaning staff were all very nice.

plus side ...cant beat the price...great location,large fridge. two sinks..kitchen was great. on the negative side ...pool was too cold...no internet in the room.

So we come in at almost 1 am and the rep at the front desk is very friendly and courteous. That is where the pleasure of our trip ends. We go back out to our car to get the luggage to come back in to an elevator that will not go up to the ninth floor. Once we finally figure out that the elevator is broken to the ninth floor we have to use the stairwell […] to get to the room. Once there we are not at all happy with the condition of the room. The ceilings are falling in, the cleanliness of the hotel is worse than that of a recycling center at a land field. We go down stairs and requested another room and this time we are put 5 floors lower on the 4th floor. Before going to our new room we have to then fight with the elevators again to get to the 9th floor to get our luggage and upon leaving the room we then pressed every button possible to get an elevator. Finally after ten minutes I opened a fire door to find a stairwell that is not marked as a stair well. (Great if the craphole of a hotel is on fire by the way) where we then have to walk down two floors to try the elevator again. Finally make it into our fourth floor room. Once we are finally in the room we notice it is not any better than the first. We completely lost our ocean view that we paid extra for. The shower curtain looks like someone used it as toilet paper. actually there was some of their pubic hair still in the bath tub. The ceiling over the door going out to our wonderful parking lot view balcony is falling in and as I opened the door a chunk fell on my head. I finally get out to the patio and smoke a cig to calm down to come back in to put drinks in our "nice" refrigerator to find that there is more mold growing on and inside it than there is in a ten pound bag of bleu cheese. We are going to stay tonight and then be out of here in the morning. Hopefully we can sleep seeing as how the lock bolt on the door is missing and so the door is unable to be locked besides with the dead bolt but not the pull over Lisez la suite

My reservation was for a FIRSTt floor..none was available when I checked in. Was assigned a SECOND floor. After movin in it was discovered to have a very WET carpet. Was moved to a THIRD floor room. During the night WATER began leaking from the ceiling above the CLOTHES hanger. Clothes became wet and were moved to chairs. We made it thru the night and […] checked out the next morning. Gross. Everyone smoking in balcony. Outdated (very). Untidy. Rusted fridge, "vintage" stove... We booked online for two days, thinking to stay 5 more if we liked it. We didn't.

I was disappointed with my accommodations at Palmetto Shores. The hair dryer didn't work..the kitchenette was very old and worn; therefore it appeared very dirty. Just because it was very inexpensive doesn't mean the basic levels of functioning equipment and cleanliness can be skimped. I will say that I did sleep well. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed my stay but most of the pools and hot tubs were out of order.

First of all, no complaints on the location, it's ocean front, close to everything etc...but that's about all. It's in desperate need of renovation. My room had ceiling plaster falling off, plaster on the wall as well. The kitchen cabinets were dated as well as the bathroom and looked dirty. Dining table laminate was separating from the top and chairs […] were dirty. Carpet could use a good cleaning too. It was a great and wonderful weekend the hotel staff was wonderful they always had a smile on there face and the area was great as well but the nightlife was off the wall me and my husband dance all night long the broadway at the beach is great

The room was very dirty, there was garbage under the bed. No hot water two days in a row. On the other hand, another couple stayed in a different building and that was beautiful!!! Stay away from the Coral Building ...

no internet and when you did get on you had to hope for the best. was diapointed in the quality of the room

We booked in 2 nights originally but our 2 bedroom oceanfront condo was so welcoming and within a reasonable drive to so many natural and historic attractions we stayed an extra 3 nights and plan to return in April. I can't speak for the other unit types but the two units we stayed in would be spacious enough for 4 to 6 people. The staff were extremely […] helpful and gracious esp. Austin and Toby. The amenities are great; several pools and hottubs in the complex. We used the indoor pool and both the indoor and outdoor hottubs. The building is within walking distance of the strip with all sorts of typical resort area attractions although most are only open on weekends right now and some don't open at all until April or May. We fully enjoyed the view of the beach from our balcony. It's a great beach for walking as well. A couple of suggestions I would make for those who prefer to cook most of their own meals as I do is bring a scouring pad and possibly a nonstick pan or two. And if you eat organic bring it with you. Regretably we have to leave tomorrow but can't wait to come back. Lisez la suite

We were so dissatisfied that we didn't even stay one night. We saw the room and left. The hotel was run down and the website said that it had been recently renovated. The room did not seem clean, the toilet was broken and the room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. The staff was great and the room was extremely affordable. They helped us have the greatest weekend ever!!! We even stayed an unexpected extra night and they were very accomidating. They only thing I'd count as a negative is that the sheets were scratchy but the view was amazing. Our room even had a stove and full fridge. Thank you Palmetto shores!

I stayed here recently and was very satisfied with the staff, the room and the facilities. It's right on the beach with loungers, swings, chairs to sit overlooking the beach. There are 3 outdoor pools but also a couple of indoor pools which is nice in the cooler months. Everything was clean, front office staff and hospitality staff, all very pleasant […] and helpful. Comfortable beds, basic but functional furniture. Close to restaurants, the boardwalk, sidewalks for jogging/walking. Cheapest price: a really good deal considering the quality. I would stay there again without hesitation and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite
