Fantastic hotel we would recommend - awesome foyer and lovely rooftop pool. Rooms are justifiably 5 star. One of my worst stays in Dubai hotels. In check-in they let me wait for two hours because the rooms aren't ready ( I reserved two rooms). every 10 mins I go to the Lebanese guy in the reception and ask him just to prepare one room to change my baby diaper (my baby crying for more than 1 hour and my mother on a wheel chair) and every time he said just […] 10 mins, just 15 mins. We Stayed at Ibn Battuta for 6 nights. The rooms are too dark and there is only one window for natural light. Restaurants at Ibn Battuta are extremly expensive and quality of food was poor. Internet is not free in the room and staff did not help us for any of our inquiry. We stayed in Ibn Batutta suite for 6 nights. Its a great suite with all facilities available. Service and staff are awesome, friendly, always happy and professional. Many restaurants available. We had a delay checking in for 2 hours despite we showed up at 8 pm but staff was very nice and we were given a special rate for the other 3 nights after I asked […] for a compensation. My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon at the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, and had the most wonderful stay. The rooftop pool was classy with great views of the skyline of Dubai Marina, and with a delicate poolside menu (try the papaya-mango beef salad, yummy!). We also enjoyed the free shuttlebus to the Palm, and the infinity pool at the Oceana Beach club, […] which had the most amazing close up view of the Dubai skyline! We enjoyed the luxury of an executive suite, which was worth every penny! We recommend to choose the executive option. since it included a very nice breakfast, afternoon tea and an evening snack buffet and cocktail in the executive lounge. The staff were warm and helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay! Even though the hotel is situated on the outskirts of Dubai, most places can be easily reached by metro or taxi. We had 2 nights in Dubai on a stopover and chose to stay at this hotel as it had a great special on, and the pool area looked amazing. It was a lovely hotel, but it's quite far out from Dubai central. There is a metro/raised rail stop nearby (a 5 min walk) which takes you right into town, but it takes AGES. To get to Dubai mall for example is a 40 min […] train ride. The train is slow, and stops at a lot of stations! There is a mall right across from the hotel which is nice. Lots of mid-range shops and a food court. We ate there and the prices were very reasonable for a food court experience. The room we had did not have a very nice view - perhaps because we purchased a sale price? The view was out to the adjacent aluminium smelter! I suggest you ask for a room on the other side of the hotel in your booking... The pool area was lovely, and prices for poolside food were fair and a great variety. It was a relaxing place to spend a layover, although next time we might stay closer to "town". We didn't really have time to make use of the free shuttle and entry into the ocean park place but had heard it was worthwhile. It was 45 degrees when we were there, so lounging at the beach didn't hold huge appeal. The pool area was shady and breezy (you're up on the roof) so we opted for that instead. Lisez la suite

This is the second time we stay in this hotel because the hotel is beautiful and the service is great, the only downside is that it's a bit far from everything except for the Ibn Battuta Mall (Which is beautiful BTW).

The hotel is very nice and I had a great time there. I think the only thing to mention is that the concierge service is not good. They are not always polite and they hardly know local things. They have to look up everything on the Internet themselves. Which is weird. I think people should know popular places for example the main bar at the Burn Al Arab […] and the main beach places to go to for non-resident hotel guests if they are willing to pay. Lovely hotel, very clean and beautiful decor with spacious rooms. In general good service and a lovely outdoor bar (which closes too early with staff telling you they wish to go home or need to catch the last bus). Only real negative was that the front desk receptionists were slow, fairly useless and rude. Upon arrival we were not greeted by concierge […] and had to carry our luggage into the hotel. When we told the receptionist upon checking in he seemed unconcerned and let us carry our bags through to the lifts and to the room ourselves. We were also never told that the hotel had a second pool at a beach location on the Palm. This we had to find out ourselves which was a shame and we surely missed a few good opportunities to visit the beach. Upon check out we approached the receptionist and she kept her head down and typed into her computer, completely ignoring us. We waited at least 5 minutes waiting for her to look up and acknowledge us. She never did. Eventually another receptionist came over to serve us, she was efficient and polite. Hotel location is not very central but in Dubai you often need to get a taxi anywhere you go so I do not see this as a negative. In the main I would recommend this hotel. I would only suggest they get more friendly and efficient staff on the reception area. This is the first impression of where you are staying and needs to be strong. Lisez la suite

The big down side is the very high extortionate cost for Internet connectivity !!!! Breakfast is also very high cost. The position was perfect for us and it was right next to the Ibn Batutta Gate Shopping Centre - the world's largest themed centre in the world. It was immense the shopping was great and convenient. Stayed five nights at ibn battuta gate hotel in April. The staff are very accommodating, providing excellent service. The hotel has three great restaurants to try, really recommend the Indian restaurant. Recommend this hotel to everyone. You need short taxis to get to the major attractions but you do for most hotels in Dubai.

The gym and pool are very nice but the spa was closed unfortunately and I was not made aware of this at the time of booking. Beautiful hotel! High-end rooms for very reasonable rates! Right across the street from the mall of the same theme! (Just literally walk across the street and you're in an amazing Eastern explorer themed mall with Westernized shopping!) The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. However, there is one questionable feature of the […] rooms: a window separating the bathroom from the bedroom, which allows the toilet/shower/tub to be viewed from the bedroom. There is a sliding door to cover this window, but it only slides shut from the bedroom, not the bathroom. Seeing your roommate shower or bathe might be a positive for some, but for us it was disturbing, as our 12 year-old son roomed with us!
