3 jours a Tokyo en escale. Super hôtel , a mi distance avec tous les autres quartiers. Station de métro a 2mins a pied. Personnel serviable qui nous a prêté un adaptateur de prise électrique . Nous n'avons pas mangé au restaurant, et le petit déjeuner nous l'avons pris dans la chambre avec bouilloire électrique, frigo et tasse a disposition. Très peu de bruit. Salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire et toilette de compétition !!! Parfait , a refaire sans hésitation.

Le Séjour n'était que de 3 nuits avec des journées trés chargées.Il était important que l'hotel (du moins la chambre) soit calme ce qui fut le cas. Je recommande cet hotel pour son emplacement, sa convivialité.

Le service de l’hôtel est de très bonne qualité, et très efficace. Sont fournis rasoirs, brosses a dents, serviettes, pyjamas, et deux casiers. En revanche le quartier est peu fréquentable, car on vous proposera de manière très insistante des services sexuels a tous les coins de rues.

Ce quartier offre un aperçu du mode de vie local avant le boom économique des années 70 et 80. Situé à proximité d'Asakusa, il est principalement connu pour l'arcade Ameya-yokocho, un marché animé et intéressant. Il ne faut pas manquer Ueno-koen, grand parc doté de monuments, d'un zoo, de pagodes et d'un bassin. Le quartier regorge de musées et galeries.

If you don't like cigarette smoke, this is not the hotel for you because smokers and non-smokers are put on the same floor, so the odor comes through the vertical sides of the door, therefore putting a towel at the bottom of the door won't block the odor. Older hotels such as this one, do not find it cost-effective to hardwire the Internet connection, […] and this hotel's unencrypted wireless connection was slow and often dropped the connection. There was a stagnant odor in the bathroom, most probably from the shower curtain. The staff was very efficient and courteous, but spoke limited English. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you have to go to the station which is also a shopping center. I was a sole female traveller to Tokyo. The location of the Hotel was fantastic (right near Ueno Station). The area felt safe and there was lots to do. My room was exceptionally small however, it contained everything I needed and was clean. Despite having a non smoking room, I could frequently smell smoke (I think coming through my door from the other rooms). All staff were friendly. First of all Ueno is a fantastic location to stay in due to it being a major transportation hub in Tokyo. This hotel was a five minute walk to the stations and made getting around Tokyo very easy for me. The hotel was clean and my room was cleaned to a good standard daily. The staff were friendly although I'm not sure if they speak good English as I […] speak Japanese well enough to avoid language barriers. The room was fairly average, nothing special. You can use wi-fi in your room but the hotel has a strange policy requiring you to ask for a new password everyday. My only complaint would be that the pillow the hotel provided was not very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again but I would bring my own pillows this time. It seems to be a trend with Japanese hotels though. They only provide one pillow and it's not usually a terrifically comfortable pillow. So I would seriously suggest you consider bringing your own. "Great hotel for a single traveler"
Great hotel in a terrific location. Only a 5 minute walk from Ueno station, where you can get anywhere in Tokyo/take the shinkansen and a 7 minute walk from Keisei Ueno station where you can get to Narita. Staff is very helpful, the wifi passwords change every day at like 11 am but it's not too big of a deal. Room is very small and minimal but the bathroom […] is super clean with an awesome toilet. There is a Pronto restaurant attached to the hotel. If you're just looking for a room and don't want to live in a hostel/capsule hotel then this is a great place to consider. Struggled to find it (exiting central Ueno then over the passenger bypass seems simple enough but not when there are several!) but have since found a better map on the hotel website which should be helpful to fellow travellers. Staff were always courteous and friendly. Room was average sized with a TV, fridge, toiletries and daily yukata & slippers. […] I requested non-smoking but you could smell smoke throughout the hotel, not a huge issue but may be to some. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels & bedding to a good standard. For the money and closeness to the subway & train stations, I think the hotel is great. I'm a single female traveller and never once felt unsafe. Wi-fi was a bit up and down, not the best signal but considering it's free, can't moan too much!There are a couple of handy convenience stores very local to the hotel as well. We had great difficulty finding our hotel, although it's only a five minute walk from Ueno station. It's down a very quiet, side street off a busy junction and the hotel itself is not easily identified (for English speakers, at least). Good basic hotel. Very convenient location as it is a 5 minute walk from Ueno Station and you can get to most of the major attractions from Ueno Station. First time at the Ueno Terminal Hotel and loved the little place, rooms were small but comfortable, exactly what I was expecting. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cafe attached to the hotel was very good and proved to be a definite asset. Will definitely look into staying here again next time in town!!! "Easily accessible but not well-maintained"
Hotel can be easily located but isn’t well-maintained. At first night, the toilet shower (automatic spray that cleanses your bottom) had already malfunctioned, I was switched to another room the next day (but I always smell fumes inside my room after moving to the 5/F). Then at my 4th night, after flushing the toilet, the water just kept on running, […] making noises the whole night. I’d have asked them to fix it but it's well past midnight & I was exhausted, so I just left it till the next morning. Though a hotel staffer did help me fix it afterwards but frankly a simple verbal sorry isn’t good enough. Overall the hotel staff are all quite helpful - one helped me locate the nearest ATM online, and another helped me lift my luggage from the entrance down the road. If I do revisit Ueno, probably I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because it's poorly maintained. It's also stingy for the hotel just to provide a jar of hot water (not an electric pot for boiling water) & if you ask for a refill in the morning, then that's what you get for the remaining day, so do buy your own drinks before heading back to the hotel. Also the small fridge inside my room isn't cold enough. Having said the above, I did like having WiFi inside my room very much because even in some Japanese business hotels, there's only WiFi in the hotel common area. "Nice, simple hotel"
I stayed alone in Ueno for about 5 days and wasn't looking for anything fancy. This hotel is a little difficult to find, but is very close to Ueno Station (3-5 minute walk from the station). The staff were always friendly, although they spoke limited English. I was able to check in a little early and they offered to hold my luggage after I checked […] out since my flight was in the evening. I asked for a non-smoking room and received one, but there was a bit the scent of smoke in the hallways. You couldn't really smell it inside of the room. The room was very small, but clean. A hair dryer, yukata, slippers, and toiletries were supplied. Wi-fi is also supplied for free, but every morning after 11:00am, you will need to ask for the new password which changes daily. You can also rent a laptop for 1000 yen everyday. I didn't try the restaurants connected to the hotel, but if you're looking for a simple place to stay in Ueno, which is conveniently on the Yamanote line that takes you to just about every main spot in Tokyo, this is a nice place to stay. Hit kommer man med Skyliner från flygplatsen Narita och här går anslutnigståg och tunnelbana. Mao lite av ett nav för transport. I Ueno finner man en fin park med zoo och det finns möjlighet till bra shopping och massor av restauranger. […] Hotellet är enkelt och inget ställe man tillbringar mer tid än att sova på.
