Les atouts de l'hotel: un emplacement parfait pour du tourisme, juste à côté de la gare Termini, chambre assez spacieuse et terrasse sur le toit de l'hotel. Les déceptions: le jaccuzzi n'est pas en service même quand il fait 27°C et est minuscule (2 pers maxi), le service bar à la terrasse est décevant (aucun choix et très cher pour ce que c'est). Pour Rome, bon rapport qualité prix même si pour un 4 étoiles, on pourrait attendre plus (c'est davantage un 3 étoiles)

Le séjour a été très agréable, pour des chambres modernes. Le petit déjeuner est très bien, et le personnel très serviable. L'hotel est bien situé à proximité du métro.

L'hotel est plutot bien place a cote de Termini et a proximite du metro A et B, donc access direct au Colisé ou au Vatican. L'hotel n'est pas de premiere jeunesse mais reste confortable. Les chambres ne sont pas tres grandes mais restent habitables. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas lors de notre passage car trop tot dans la saison. Niveau bruit ca reste acceptable, la rue n'est pas trop passante. Le petit dejeuner est de moyen, le cafe n'est pas tres italien mais ca reste acceptable. Pour le prix de la chambre, ca reste une bonne adresse.

Nous gardons une très bonne impression de ce séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueillies. L'hotel est bien placé, pas très loin du centre ville et des transports en commun. Cadre très agréable.

Séjour avril 2012 avec bébé de 1,5 ans (suite avec 1 chambre). Chambre propre et confortable, design intéressant. Hôtel et quartier très calmes, chambres en retrait de la rue et jardin très agréable à l'ombre des arbres. Chambre assez sombre, qui nécessitait d'allumer la lumière même le jour, donc plutôt un hôtel pour un séjour estival. Wifi gratuit, mais connexion assez lente. Petit déjeuner très bon, même si l'on peut regretter le manque de plats chauds. Quelques améliorations possibles: le personnel ne nous a parlé que du métro, à 10-15min de marche, alors qu'il existe d'autres solutions notamment le bus 628 au coin de la rue qui dessert plusieurs points touristiques très intéressants. De manière générale le personnel offre peu d'informations touristiques. L'emplacement n'est pas le plus central, mais c'est le prix à payer pour le calme. Prévoir entre 1/2h et 1h de temps d'approche total pour le centre touristique. Attention cet hôtel est catégorisé comme appart hôtel mais nous l'avons trouvé plutôt mal adapté à cet usage: pas de four ou de micro-onde, très peu d'ustensiles de cuisine, meubles pas toujours pratiques, etc. C'est une cuisine d'appoint pour des clients qui mangeront la plupart de leurs repas en ville. C'est pourquoi nous ne le recommandons pas forcément pour des familles, même si les enfants seront très bien reçus et que le personnel est très sympathique, attentif et serviable. Globalement l'impression générale reste très positive et agréable.
Situation
Au cœur de Rome, Hotel Grifo se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites suivants : Eglise Santa Maria dei Monti et Forum romain. Les sites Colisée et Basilique Sainte-Marie-Majeure se trouvent également à proximité.

Toutes les routes mènent au forum, cœur de la Rome antique. Les visiteurs viennent y retracer les pas de Jules César, à l'époque duquel le forum était le centre de la vie commerciale, politique et juridique. Tout près de là, le Colisée, décrit par Lord Byron comme le " cirque sanglant des gladiateurs ", est l'amphithéâtre le plus célèbre au monde et le plus impressionnant des monuments romains.

Hôtel très bien situé, proche des sites romains et non loin de la fontaine de Trévi, dans un quartier agréable, plein de restaurants et boutiques branchés. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très souriant et disponible. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas très varié mais copieux. L'appartement n'était pas grand luxe, mais grand et pratique. Bonne adresse !

Nous avons passé 4 nuits en février Nous avons changé de chambre dès notre arrivée. Nous avions opté pour l'appartement en annexe, mauvaise idée. Pas d'eau chaude, pas entretenu, limite sale. "Good Location"
Perfect location. Walking distance to every place including Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum and other major places. Good breakfast. Bad things: Hotel condition it,s not the best and you can hear almost noises from the 2nd floor to the 6 floor.

The staff were all wonderful, especially the front desk. If the crousants are gone at breakfast, just ask. They put out some for each person so the greedy types don't take them for lunch.

"Grifo in Rome"
This hotel is very much like all other 3 to 4 star hotels, great location, great service, clean hotel. The only drawback was the bed was two twin hard matresses they covered with a queen sheet. If you want better you will probably pay twice the price for one of the luxury hotels in that area.

Good location, near the coloseum and not far from the train station. Lobby looks fine and breakfast was ok, but the room left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and was overall disgusting. Room was small, but bed was decent. Overall 2.5 MAX.

We stayed at Hotel Grifo for two nights arriving from the US. We loved the location in Ancient Rome. We could walk to the Colosseum easily and the neighborhood was quaint and authentic with several good restarants and pizza joints. Our view was to the street, a little noisy but not too bad. Shower is small but fine. They do have an outside terrace area […] that overlooks the street view. It was nice to sit out at night. Breakfast included. We felt that the Hotel Grifo was an excellent value. The hotel was clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful (and spoke English). There was free internet access in the lobby. "Hotel Grifo - Really, really not good"
We booked hotel Grifo on Hotels.com for one night last minute, and we chose it because we love that part of Rome (everything is within walking distance). We didn't consult Trip Advisor before booking. Big mistake. It is an awful hotel. Our room was across the street in a separate building from the hotel and we had to walk up about 50 stairs (no elevator) […] in a dark hall (broken lights) to get the room. There were stains on the toilet seat and on the wall from the air conditioner that leaks. The air conditioner also makes this clicking sound every 3 minutes which kept us up half of the night until we opted to sleep in a hot room. It's a really creepy hotel. The breakfast was really awful too and we couldn't even eat it, so we just went to a cafe down the street to eat. I travel a lot and am not a typical complainer. I've stayed in hostels and I frequently stay in little B&Bs, so take my review seriously and don't right me off as a snob - it's not a good hotel! I even showered in my flip flops... The only good thing I can say is that the reception staff was very nice and helpful. But I still hated my time spent there. Lisez la suite

Room was very small, it is nearly impossible to have a shower- way to small Staff was very unpleasant to deal with and we did not get the complimentary breakfest that was supposed to be provided! To anyone that wants decent accommodations I would spend a bit more money to get something more acceptable

The best of the cheapest hotels we've ever stayed at. We did not pick the hotel because of the room, we picked it because of the reviews at hotels.com and the location. The staff were the best we have -ever- met, regardless of number of stars, at any hotel. They were very informative about the area surounding the hotel, sightseeing that should be […] done and with recommendations of their own. These people were not hotelemployees, programmed with what to say, they were your friends during your stay, only wanting you to have a good time. We had to leave in the middle of the night to the airport and no kitchen was open but they still managed to get us a little breakfast and coffee, I just feel sorry for the poor guy who worked the nightshift that we had to wake up. The rooms were ok, nothing fancy, but free aircondition which was great on the hot nights. We stayed in 6 different rooms though out Italy and this was our first night. The door hit the bed to go into the room and you had to close it pull in one piece of luggage (over the bed and close the door to get another person in with another piece of luggage. First of all, the hosts at this hotel, Romano and Paolo are just wonderful. They are very professional yet very down-to-earth and very helpful. And other staff are just wonderful, too. And you can ask anything and they have the answer. Second of all, I was craving for real fruit juice and I found the machine in the breakfast dining room which you can […] use every morning!!!! The downside maybe that the reception is on the 4th (5th of U.S.), so it is a bit inconvenient, but it is totally worth it because of the service you get and the location of this hotel. I can recommend this hotel to all people staying in Rome for a shorter period. The location is outstanding. The hotel itself is nice but everything is very small as rooms, shower and breakfast area. Vi boede på et af hotellets værelser overfor Hotellet. Mørk snusket opgang. Lille mørkt værelse skodderne kunne ikke åbnes pga et stillads. Ingen rengøring overhovedet. Morgenmads buffet består af cornflakes og toastbrød uden mulighed for at riste det, og den første morgen var der croissant´er, næste morgen kom der efter lang ventetid 4 croissant´er […] ind til 10 mennesker. Hotelli sijaitsi kapealla kujalla, keskeisellä paikalla. HYVÄ! Majoitus saatiin jo ennen puoltapäivää. Huoneistomme oli mallia apartment, joka sijaitsi n.100m hotellista. Huoneisto oli heikkokuntoinen n.25m3 yksiö vanhan kerrostalon ekassa kerroksessa, joten kujan äänet kuuluivat selvästi sisälle tiivistämättömistä ikkunoista. Vastapäätä oli joku nuorten […] mesta, joka oli toiminnassa ainakin ke ja to. Ma ja ti sieltä ei kuulunut jumputusta. Itse huoneisto oli likainen, vailla keittiövarusteita kuten lautasia, kuppeja ja työvälineitä. Lattia siivottiin itse ja peitot puuttuivat sängyistä. Aamupala oli kylmä perussetti, vailla pekoneja, puuroja ja nakkeja. Aamulla mainitsimme puuttuvista peitoista ja ruokailuvälineistä, josta tunnuimme pääsevän yhteiseen kieleen ja ymmärrykseen. Peittoja ei tullut, mutta uusi päiväpeite oli sijattu parivuoteeseen, joita sitten käytimme loppuajan. Ruokailuvälineitäkin oli tullut. Yksi veitsi, kolme haarukka, joista yksi kertakäyttöinen, kuppeja kaksi. Kertakäyttö lusikat ja lautaset ostimme itse kaupasta, koska ei nämä varusteet vain riittäneet kolmelle! Hotellin puolelle asiat olisivat olleet varmasti paremmin. Nämä ei haitannut meitä, mutta jotain saattaakin häiritä. Halpa ja asiallinen majapaikka hyvällä paikalla!!! "idealer Ausgangspunkt um Rom zu erkunden" Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert für alle, die keine Ansprüche auf eine luxuriöse Unterkunft haben. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir deutschsprachig empfangen. Unser Zimmer war allerdings winzig – was uns etwas gestört hat. Wir hatten das Glück, im obersten Stock die wunderschöne Dachterrasse benutzen zu können. […] Frühstücksbuffet war okay, aber eher bescheiden. Gratis WLAN im gesamten Haus. Voraussetzung, man bringt sein eigenes Notebook mit. Ansonsten im Empfangsbereich möglich. Mit der Lage waren wir sehr zufrieden. Man ist irgendwie mittendrin und kann vieles zu Fuß erreichen. We felt that the Hotel Grifo was an excellent value. The hotel was clean. Hotellet har alt det man skal bruge til en base. Ligger godt (gå afstand til alt), seng (dog lidt hård), bad og toilet, TV (dog kun med italienske kanaler). Men det er et meget lille hotel og morgenmaden er absolut ikke nogen spændende oplevelse.

Läget var mycket bra. Nära tågstationen, nära till de flesta sevärdheter, nära till affärer om man ville shoppa. Till det negativa hör att de små detaljerna på rummen, vägglister som var av/hängde löst, "tog bort" 1-2 av hotellets stjärnor. Annars ett mysigt hotell, kommer man bara för att sova på rummen, så duger det bra. Trevligt med wi-fi.

Este hotel nos resultó muy cómodo por estar a pocos metros del Coliseo y de calles con medios de transporte que nos permitieron recorrer Roma con total tranquilidad. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, son muy amables. El servicio de Wi Fi solo funciona en la planta baja del hotel, esto es en la recepción, y es gratuito. Lo recomedaría.

Hotellet var helt greit, bortsett fra et skrekkelig sengeteppe med appelsin-mønster. Betjeningen kunne kanskje ha sagt fra om byskatten, som er ekstra å betale pr person pr natt, i tillegg til det vi hadde betalt på forhånd.
